Two days later,  Marinette's mother announces she will be gone for a few days to visit her brother. 

    "How long will you be away, Mom? " Marinette asks.

  "Marinette I will be going with her,"  Kagami says.

"Mother, will I go to or do you want me to stay here?"  Mirelle asks.

Sabine answers, "I see you need for you to tag along.  Your sister Kagami and I will be just fine by ourselves." 

"You and Marinette stay safe while we are away.  Stay away from the ocean." Sabine says.

"We will be gone for a month!  See you in  month girls!" Sabine says. She heads out to the car with her luggage, and Kagami follows her with her suitcases too.

"Bye, Mirelle!  Bye, Marinette!  Try to trash the house while we are away!" Kagami says. She waves bye to them.

  "Bye, see you later!"  Mirelle says. She waves to them.

"Bye, mom, bye sis!" Marinette says. She waves bye to them too.

  After their mother left, "Bye sis, see you later I am going to Chloe's for a sleepover!" Mirelle says.

"Ok, have fun and see you later!"  Marinette says.

   Now on her own Marinette thinks of what to do next. She smiles as she decides she knows just the thing.  She cleans the kitchen, then thinks there that looks much better. She is glad there is still more summer break left. She fixes herself an early lunch, puts it into a picnic basket, grabs her beach bag, towel, and sunglasses, and goes to the beach again.

  She changes in the changing area at the beach. She comes out with her pink and purple striped tanki.  She smiles and thinks, I wonder if I will see Adrien.

   Marinette's  POV:
  Adrien is a little odd, but still cute. She blushes.

 Adrien sees Marinette, sighs, and blushes. He thinks I have to speak to her again. He hides and blows into the green shell. As soon as he sees the legs and swimwear back on him he smiles. He heads to the shore.  He sneaks up behind Marinette and says,  "Hi, Marinette, what are you d-doing?"

  "Adrien, where did you come from anyway?"  Marinette asks.

"Oh, I got here earlier, and thought you might want to talk,'' Adrien says.

   "Sure, what is it you wish to speak about with me?"  She asks.

   "Marinette how come you do not have a boyfriend?"  Adrien asks. He thinks why did I go and ask her this.

    "I have no idea, maybe it is because I have no interest in a boy or no boy has asked me out." She says and giggles.

   "I know we only met yesterday, but will you go out with me?"  Adrien asks. He thinks, great now she will think I am crazy.

"Yes, I suppose I could. My mother and one of my sisters are out of town for a month.  My other sister is at a friend's house."  Marinette says.

"Are your sisters as beautiful as you are?" Adrien asks. His face turns red when he realizes what he just asked her.

   "My triplet sisters are Kagami and Mirelle. They do not like the beach.  Ok, Mirelle likes the sand a little, but not the water.  Kagami does not like either. " Marinette says.

"Wow! Then, how did you come to like the beach?  You do not have to tell me if you rather not." Adrien says.

"I suppose I love the beach because my father did." She says.

   "Oh, I am sorry," Adrien says.

"Why, you have not done anything wrong." She says.

"Marinette you are so beautiful!" Adrien says. He blushes and thinks, great I am in love with a human.

"Thanks, Adrien!  You are rather handsome." Marinette says.

"Mari, what should we do for our first date?" Adrien asks.

"Well, I am not sure."  Marinette answers.

   Meanwhile, Mirelle wonders what Marinette is up too. She hopes her sister will not be too lonely while she is at Chloe's for a week, especially with their mother and other sister being out of town for so long. She thinks I am sure she will be just fine.

   Chloe is glad Mirelle could come over. She is surprised Mrs. Cheng did not put a fuss up about it since she loves in a hotel that has a view of the ocean from one of its floors.

    Sabine and Kagami are glad to be able to visit a relative of their's for a while. Sabine smiles at the familiar place.  "Is not this rather nice?" Sabine asks.

"It sure is mom,"  Kagami says.

Master Fu notices the half-human half merman and the human girl gets along rather well. He wonders if this means the disagreement between the mermaids and mermen, with the humans will end soon.

  Back to Adrienette...

  Adrien looks at Marinette in surprise.  "How have you never been on  a date before today?"  Adrien asks.

"Oh, I never had an interest in anyone before I met you,"  Marinette says.

  Adrien thinks, she likes me.  He steps back afraid he will ruin everything if he kisses her now. He is sure she is not ready for it yet and believes he will want more kisses if he gives her one.

  "Adrien, what do you do with your hair?"  Marinette asks.

"I mean it always smells so nice,"  Marinette says.

"I use a special seaweed and plankton scrub on it,"  Adrien says.

   Marinette blushes. She thinks I think I am falling for him. She hears her phone ding.

     It is a text from Mirelle.

  Are you all alright?

Okay, good!

"Marinette what was that noise?" Adrien asks.

"My sister Mirelle sent me a text. It is like a note but on a phone."  Marinette says.

    "Oh, well that is nice, but does this mean you have to go?" Adrien asks.

"No, I sent her a text back to let her know I am okay." Marinette answers.

    "I am glad you can stay," Adrien says.

"I have something special to show you." He says.

"Ok, like what?  You are not a squid are you?" She asks.

  "No, I have no tentacles,"  Adrien says.

"Then, what is it A-Adrien?"  Marinette asks.

"I am not ready to show you yet." He snaps at her.

"Oh, okay!"  Marinette says.

"I think I will go for a swim. Would you like to join me?"  She asks.

"No, I have to go!" Adrien says.

"Go, where?" Marinette calls out after him.

 Adrien jumps into the water and hides under the dock area.  

Marinette thinks, awe, he left already.  "A-Adrien, where are you?" She asks.

"Please come back!"  Marinette says.

    Adrien swims away to a cove area.   He thinks, sorry, I did not mean to love you!

     Marinette jumps into the ocean and goes for a swim.  She does not know that Adrien watches her from under the water. She does not know he wishes to kiss her.

      Marinette finishes a few minutes later.  She dries off, goes home and sighs. She goes to her room and thinks, why did he leave?
