“I'm never gonna look back, never gonna give it up. No, please don't wake me now” - American Authors

Always working on his appearance, the big boss stared at himself in the mirror as he got ready for another awards show. The bow tie was just ready to be set around his neck when a vibrating sign came from his iPhone.
'This sweet lady making me up makes me wonder about the make-up artist and hairdresser you're planning for me! Don't be late, I'm already excited! Xx'
The message ran through his mind as a smug grin played across his face. It had been a while since Simon hadn't felt this way about someone. Obviously everyone pictured him as a rough man; that seemed to be all the television ever said about him. How could someone like Sylvia do this to him? He barely remembered any of his artists reaching him this much. It was not just about work anymore, it was clear their relationship grew big enough to break all the professional boundaries he would have built between them. When it came to Sylvia and her tenderness, there was nothing he could do but embrace her as his own kid. Perhaps, this was just his reaction towards One Direction's next steps. Of course his favorite lads weren’t comparable to any other artist in this world and he was pretty sure about it, but taking a step further when it came to the biggest boy band ever would be important for him as well for the boys.
Simon decided a while ago he would let go of a few of his responsibilities over the boy band. They were growing up and this was probably the smartest decision to take; the last thing he would like to hear about was how the boys got angry because of any over the top management control. Being three years since they started out, maybe it was time to give them some freedom to create their own career and figure out what would come next by themselves. Besides, they were still special, his favorite act, and he would be around anytime they needed him. That time, he definitely wanted to focus on Sylvia. It wasn't about management, but he promised himself he would make thegirl shine as much as possible.
She was the reason he was smiling much more often. Having the opportunity to give life to an artist like her was what moved Simon's world. The fact that everything was just so easy with her made everything that much better. It took a long time for any artist to realize how important it was to keep themselves on the public's mind, but being a part of 'The Voice' helped Sylvia in dealing with the position Simon wished from her. Being around the gossip was not enough, that was why Simon took some advantage of his own exposure to take the girl with him as a part of her promotional stuff.
The time for another great night had come; The Brit Awards. For the first time ever, Simon would be honored as one of the industry icons of the last year. No doubt about the millions dollars he had made with One Direction and many others. And Sylvia would be the by his side for the entire night. That was her chance to show herself to the world.
It will be a great night.
The driver made his way to Sylvia's hotel while Simon was in his thoughts the whole way. That would be the first time he would be able to introduce the girl to his five favorite lads. He had been waiting so long for that moment to come; it would be a turning point for his career. Giving One Direction the freedom they proudly deserve to step towards to Sylvia. He couldn't be more excited about that!
As soon as they reached her place, he looked at the sweet couple waiting in the lobby. How could both Sean and Sylvia fit so well together? Simon kept wondering if it was something about the fact that he was a 30 years old guy with such a passion for living, in which all his cares were directed towards Sylvia. Maybe they were just lucky enough to find their way to each other on this crazy road called life. Probably the luckiest one was Sylvia, who found this guy who spared no efforts to make her happy and to help her step into this great opportunity. Simon could just not deny that if it wasn't for Sean, he would probably never had even met, or heard of, Sylvia.
The Brits were a huge moment for Sylvia. That was the time to be known as the breakthrough solo artist she deserved to be. The event itself was a blast for Sylvia and all eyes were on Simon and ger. She couldn't even remember a time of her life when all those cameras had turned to her. Her days on 'The Voice' would be the closest, but nothing could be compared to the ecstasy of being his company for The Brit Awards.
Some reporters came closer as they got the chance to interview the girl at Red Carpet's pre-show. The debut of her first single was the big reason for driving her nuts in that moment, and a simple word from the reporters about it could result in a big twist and knots in her body before sharing her story. She would never be bothered or tired of talking about this feeling!
She was stunning and it was definitely her night to shine, as Simon would like to call it. Her dress, makeup, and hair were carefully chosen so that she could stay magnificent all night long. Sean could not be more proud of this new woman he had by his side. The way Sylvia looked was driving him crazy, only wishing for the awards to be over so then they could run and lock themselves into their hotel room. A rough sigh helped him to escape from these thoughts as soon as the Yellowcard boys asked him to join them.
"Simon, you are just about to be honored for your efforts towards music industry, especially when it comes to launching new artists. What is it like to be the one who believes in these new music star talents, such as Sylvia Yacoub and One Direction?" A reporter asked Simon after directing some questions to Sylvia.
"Well, you know, it's pretty easy to manage these kids along when they're that talented. They only needed someone to realize it and to show them the road to success," he proudly affirmed while pulling Sylvia into his side.
"What about you, Sylvia? Are you ready to be Simon's new sweetheart?" Her lips showed a bashful grin right even before she could think about the question.
Sweetheart? Wouldn't it be going quite far for our first awards show together?!
"That's definitely new for me, he presented me with this great opportunity and I couldn't say no. It feels like those moments in your life that you know you can't just let it go, and I'll do my best to not disappoint him," Sylvia stated, as their eyes met together in a silent but trustful look.
"She's a sweetheart," he moved his eyes towards One Direction, who were just by his side managing another interview with their usual energetic style. “She’s easier than any of those five lads over there”.
Sylvia turned her head until she could see the five young lads Simon had just talked about; One Direction. A few moments staring at them and she realized how easy they dealt with all those questions about every part of their lives. After a few years constantly dealing with all types of rumors and gossip, they really knew how to take control over any interview and it was pretty clear to everyone. Would she be like that one day? She could only hope.
She couldn’t help herself from noticing how gorgeous they were. All of them were no exception; gorgeous in their unique way with features that certainly got all the attention, even when the spotlights were not on them. Somehow the magazines didn’t really have to work hard on their Photoshop skills. They just had that thing every girl would ask God to have inside their Christmas gift box. A chuckle suddenly hit her as she thought how her brain could work so creatively sometimes. One Direction and Christmas gift had never crossed her mind in the same thought. Not in that way.
"Simon, thank you very much for speaking with us. Sylvia, I wish you all the best in your career." As soon as the reporter left Simon put his efforts to bring the lads together.
"It's time for me to introduce you to the guys. Harry, come up here." The moment he had been waiting had come; he was really excited for the meeting. Simon had never saved his words to talk about the boys, and in that moment she just felt they were the best reflection of the successful career she could ever have.
As soon as Harry was in arms reach, Simon grabbed him and pulled him close. "Do you remember I told you about Sylvia, the new Syco's artist?" Simon put his arms around her. "This is her, Sylvia Yacoub."
As soon as Harry faced the girl Simon was talking about for the last few months, he realized Simon wasn't exaggerating about her. Her shining, but still astonishing, dark eyes could only tell him about her excitement to be there in that moment. "Really nice to meet you Sylvia, Simon has been talking about you for like, his entire fucking life." He stated between a playful smile and the three of them laughed.
"Watch your mouth Harry, she's just a girl. Niall, Liam, guys, come over here." Quickly all of them were around the boss. "It's a pleasure to introduce you to Sylvia. She's now a part of our lovely team and my new sweetheart,” he shook his head after realizing he kept repeating the word after the reporters mentioned it. “These stupid reporters are really putting world on my mouth, Jesus." They all burst into laughter. "Now my focus is all on her career, just as I did with you in your early years. So, please, be gentle to her. I'm really happy she's now a part of our stunning family."
Sylvia blushed as soon as all the boys started clapping. Simon could never be more proud of her; he knew he was the one who put so much pressure on her expectation for this meeting, but everything was working out great.
"By the way, it's good to know you kept being that cocky man we first met," Liam said trying to imitate Simon's voice and all of them laughed as Simon pinched his ear.
"Welcome to the team, Sylvia," the smiling Niall welcomed her with a warm hug, making the girl totally melt inside after realizing the Irish accent she loved.
"Welcome to the family!" Liam enveloped her in his arms. He couldn’t help but notice the brunette unique features shimmering in the spotlights. She was shining and no one had any doubt about it. He could only smile after watching her lovely and exciting expression.
"Where the fuck is Zayn and Louis?" Simon looked around searching for the boys and Niall pointed to both of them not that distant from their spot, managing another interview, while Louis stole the mic from the reporter's hand.
"Oh god, could you please tell me when Louis will start being serious at interviews?" Simon threw his hands up high and quickly walked towards them; soon he interrupted the interview and grabbed the boys' arms, bringing them close to the group. "Guys, please be gentlemen."
"You must be Sylvia, right?" Zayn gave his hand and shook hers while their eyes met momentarily. Everything that Simon had said about her was truthful; his wide smile couldn’t hide his excitement about meeting the Arabic girl who quiet shared the same ancestors with him. Her dark eyes, her brown skin, her intense yet infectious semblance, took him back to all the little things that made him proud about his roots. "We finally managed to meet you, this is awesome!"
"And you're the famous Zayn. We may have something similar, right?" Simon stepped away from them when realized they were pretty comfortable together.
"Salaam Aleikum," he spoke while his both hands met together for an Arabic traditional compliment. Both laughed because of their likeness, which made the others confused with their gestures. In that very moment, their gaze told each other how easily they would get along with each other.
"And you are Louis, right?" She approached him trying to distract the boy from playing with the others.
His famous endearing smile appeared over his features. "I'm the one and only Louis," he hugged her and kissed her cheek. "Really glad to meet you. Just to let you know, it's a kind of unusual family, as you can see."
"Yeah, a single father who gets sick of his five devil children and adopts a little, nice girl as to try to balance all the shit male hormones." Harry chuckled and she battled her eyes; the others cracked up laughing because of her move. Sylvia quickly felt her face burning as she got embarrassed, wondering how these guys could be that silly during a meeting in which she had such high expectations. Maybe Simon was right, they really had this power to quickly involve people on their enjoyable mood.
"Man, seriously, which drugs are you taking? Gotta tell daddy Simon about all this crap." Zayn slapped his face convincing himself he didn't listen to such a crazy story and walked with Niall towards Simon.
"You guys are unbelievable, oh my god!" Sylvia couldn’t stop laughing and Harry and Louis started playing around with each other.
"That's our specialty, right, honey?" Harry threw his arm over Louis's shoulder and gave him a joking gaze; Sylvia simply stared at them with a little smile playing on her lips. Both of the gorgeous guys seemed to be getting even greater each passing second. It was clear to her they were not the same young boys goofing around in the beach while singing some cheesy love song; they had grown up and time had been fair to each of them.
"We should go love, business is calling us and we have only ninety two interviews to do before the show," Louis exclaimed in a female voice while hugging his mate, trying to get both of them back to their appointments before the event.
"Sure, you stay right where you are. You ok?" Harry embraced the girl once more and looked around to find some familiar faces, but not getting distracted from Sylvia. "We're not leaving you alone."
"Nah, I'm fine. Simon is right on your back."
Louis nipped Harry's ass and pushed him away from Sylvia. "That was Simon and to be honest, he really talked a lot about you," the girl blushed after his statement. Both of the boys watched how her intense eyes got brighter and her lips molded a wilder grin at every mention of Simon's name. "I really hope you have a good time with him. Just promise you will get all you can from his brilliant mind. It's all yours now," he kissed her forehead while involving her in his arms.
"And if you need anything, just call us, okay?" Harry pecked her cheek while still being held by Louis, but still managing to not lose sight of Sylvia's eyes.
"And two of the hottest boy band mates ever have just kissed me!" All of them shared a giggle. "Really, you guys are amazing. I feel blessed for being able meeting you. Thank you." She pulled off from Louis' hug when saw Simon coming up with Sean.
"Ok, we'll let you go now." Louis turned his head to find the guys who were calling them, quickly holding held her hand and kissing it before leaving.
Simon and Sean walked up to Sylvia right after the guys left. Sean held her closer in his arms and kissed her temple, keeping his lips close to her skin and moving to her for a soft kiss. He realized one of the lads who had just left kept staring at them, but the other one quickly got him off his distraction. And obviously that was enough to make him annoyed by their presence and jealous of his girl.
"What about that? Did you like the lads?" Simon asked not realizing the little disturbance in Sean’s eyes, the feeling he was trying to disguise from Sylvia.
"They were awesome. I feel better about the fact that they're so normal." A chuckle sounded from her lips and she gripped Sean's hand a little bit harder, meeting his green eyes which caused a sparkling smile to come over her lips.
"I'm still a little confused with these boy bands and stuff. They don't dance, c'mon! In the 90's they used to wear the same clothes!" They laughed and Sean kept talking, that time a little more relaxed about the jealous feeling for his girlfriend. "You should teach them how to move, babe".
"No way! I bet they move better than me. Anyway, where were you guys? You've just left me over here".
"Well, we're sure you were in good company," Simon said looking at his iPhone while Sean hugged her from her back, being the protective one in his role as a boyfriend. "We were talking about your pre-production with the label team, as you can imagine. And I've just got a message from Jay."
"Forget about that!" She held Sean's arms and leaned her over her partner. When it came to Jay, her manager, there would be some business conversation coming around, and all she wanted to do was avoiding it for that moment. "No work today, I need some fun," she turned her body to face Sean with a fluffy and begging expression and softly touched his lips, "please?"
"You can have anything you want from me." Sean moved his lips to Sylvia's to kiss her harder and put his hand over Simon's face, covering it with his palm.
"God, I wanna die with all this intimate shit," Simon slapped Sean's head and got them separated. "Let's do some networking." Simon walked away laughing, getting them on their way for another interview. Just like everyone knew, he was the workaholic of the group and none moment would be a waste for him; always looking for new business even at relaxing moments.
As soon as she started walking with Sean, the corners of her lips unwittingly turned up as she remembered the last minutes with the boys. She couldn't control her nerves of meeting the most famous boy band ever, but they definitely made that into a laidback moment. It felt like they had known Sylvia for a long time by the way they made her easily felt warm and safe, even just by being surrounded by them. In that rushed and exciting life she was living, meeting those five lads who didn’t take life that serious was comforting; but they were still the most valuable and the most adored band in this world. Maybe that was how she needed to deal with everything from that point.
