PART 1

Skylar Forte hadn't ever had it easy. It all began when she was at a mere age of three....

Skylar was helpless as she watches her parents getting arrested. She was confused.
What was going on?
Where were Mommy and Daddy going?
She reaches out for her mother in one more feeble attempt to bring her back but to now avail.
With one last protest, her mother was dragged out of the room with tear streaked cheeks, Skylars father close behind.

Her parents had broken the law. Her mother had given a patient too much pain killer. Her father had discovered the shortage of oxygen on the Ark.

They would be floated and she would be given to a family that was unable to conceive a child. Shortly after her parents left, Skylar began to cry.
She didn't understand.
Not yet at least. She was scooped up into the arms of one of the guards and carried in the opposite direction, away from the screams of her parents.

Soon enough, she was given to a new family. She rested peacefully in the crib, unaware of the doors that opened and released her parents into space, never to be seen again.

Skylar Forte wasn't even four and she had already lost both parents in a day.

Little did she know, this would be only the first of many horrific and saddening events that will make her the warrior most know today.
