91|"Well Congrats Everyone."
One month after Dally proposed.
<Skyler's POV>
I've learned to enjoy the simplicity of waking up next to my fiancée in the morning. I've learned to just breathe and appreciate everything I have. Doing so has taught me that life can be peaceful as the sun rises and the day begins. Life can be peaceful even after everything we have gone through, soc's and bad family members and self hatred. Mornings have become my favorite time of day. I hop out of bed, naked from last nights love making. As I tie my hair in a knot on the top of my head, I begin to search for a shirt. Grabbing Dally's button up, I pull it over my head and slip on a pair of his boxers as well. With a light step, I walk to the kitchen, making sure to be extra quiet as I pass the nursery. In ritual motions I begin to start breakfast. It is a Sunday so Dallas has off work today, much to my pleasure.
Just as I begin to brew coffee, I hear a record start to play from the living room. Soon after, Dallas appears in the kitchen, of course shirtless with jeans clutching his waist tightly. I smile at my husband to be. "That music won't wake John will it?" I ask him with a sweet care free tone. Dallas shrugs.
"Don't know baby, you really care that much?" Dallas states as he approaches me, cornering me so that my waist is pressed against the edge of the countertop.
"Not at all, he has to wake up anyways," I states, snaking my arms around Dallas's back.
"Ah that's right I almost forget everyone was coming over for lunch today," Dallas says. I smile.
"It's weird, we haven't all just casually hung out in awhile," I stare. Dallas sighs slightly.
"A lot of us have kids, we're all working more, it's hard to be reckless like we used to," Dallas admits. I bite my bottom lip.
"Does that scare you?" I question him. He smiles and shakes his head.
"A few years ago that would've sent me over the edge, but right now, no not at all, I know this is what I want, this is perfect." A memory flashes through my head. A memory of Christmas day, the day after Dallas proposed. We had just told everyone that we were to be married in about four months.
"This is perfect!" Chris shouts, "you guys are getting married! We get to plan a wedding! This is so fuc-"
"Wow now Chrissy, cool it alright, I don't need all this commotion," Dallas states smiling, his arm wrapped around my back. Steve is the next person to congratulate us. Everyone follows soon after. Chris is right. This is perfect.
I come back to reality. "I'm glad, now enjoy breakfast I have to run to the doctors real quick, but I'll be back in time for lunch, good luck Dallas."

One Hour Later
As I drive home from my appointment in the car Dallas got for me thoughts race through my head.
"Ok, this information might disappoint you or it may not affect your life plans at all," our Doctor states. I nod my head slowly and squeeze Dallas's hand in anticipation, though I'm not able to look at him in the eye. "After looking at your fallopian tubes, it seems that you won't be able to produce any more children."
That's what the doctors told me after the birth of the twins. Now suddenly here I am, engaged to be married in three months... and by some miracle, pregnant... again.
<Chris's POV>
The sun greets my eyes gently in the morning, through the open window where a calm breeze flows freely into Soda and I's bedroom. I glance lazily to my left and see Soda laying on his stomach, facing my abdomen. He smiles slightly when he sees I am awake. "Good morning sunshines," He greets us quietly. I smile back at him.
"Good morning Sodapop," I greet him kindly. Soda slides his hand over my abdomen, the bump not quite visible yet. It is actually a miracle the way it happened. Soda says lets start trying to make a baby and that night, poof, we conceive. Not that I am complaining, this is what we wanted. Today is the day that we tell the rest of the gang. we will do it at lunch at Dallas's place. It is risky announcing the pregnancy before the end of the first trimester, but I honestly can not wait anymore. They are my brothers all of them, the should know and be able to experience this pregnancy with us. Soda is hesitant to tell Darry, knowing that he will disapprove since we are not the most financially stable. On that note, I finally got a job as a secretary and it is actually helping a lot. Now that there are two incomes for out family, paying off bills is slightly easier, not great, but much easier. Not only that but Soda became manager of the gas station so his pay has increased some. Steve quit the DX, he and Lena live off of gambling money which I think is much to risky, but it makes them happy and they are doing really well. Two still lives with them with Henry, he even got a job at the DX since Steve left. Soda had no problem hiring him. Steve, Lena, and Two moved into a house that was closer to Soda and I, thus fore closer to Darry and Leala, and pretty close to Skyler and Dally. Johnny still lives with Dally and Sky most of the time, but her house hops occasionally. He says he feels bad for taking up so much of Dally's space, especially since there are already three kids living there. He does not feel very well in general. Pony went back to school after break and he is right back into his lack of a best friend slump. The only thing that keeps him busy is helping Sky and I with the kids. Other than that all he does is smoke. He would probably disappear into town more, but he is still so deathly afraid of being jumped. I don't blame him. Our gang hasn't gone out much so sons are getting antsy. Deep down I know its only a matter of time before the last string snaps in their tiny little brains and they jump us or blame something on us. I don't know quite what will happen, but I know it won't be good,
Despite that, things are overall great. Soda kisses my stomach and then slowly pulls himself out of bed. I follow him, just as slowly. He takes my hands, a stupid big grin on his face. "C'mon baby, we got some news to break to five guys, three women, and six kids."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We greet with hugs, kisses, pats on the backs, and wow you've gotten fats. The gang together for lunch means music, tv, sarcasm, beer, and Darry's chocolate cake, yum. I give Skyler a big hug with a smile on my face. "You cut your hair!" Sky exclaims. I nod giddily. She is right, my hair just barely touches my shoulders now.
"Yea just yesterday, I needed a change."
We migrate from the door to the living room. The boys are on the couch the kids are on the floor, the ladies are int he kitchen putting the finishing touches on lunch. Lena sits on Skyler's countertop smoking a joint out of the open window. Leila sips a beer as she leans against the fridge. I chop up some vegetables to put on the salad. Skyler is finishing up a sort of casserole that she decided to make. We of course make interesting conversation as we work. "No Chris no big centerpieces, its not that kind of wedding, its just us, you know that, and Lena no bachelorette party, I am not doing that," Skyler demands. Lena rolls her eyes.
"C'mon, you'd look hot at a guy strip joint in a tiny black dress, hot mama on the town!" Lena exclaims. Just then Dallas walks in with a platter of grilled burgers and a beer.
"One, she is always a hot mama, second she is my hot mama, third I am really starting to hate the expression hot mama alright, so cut that out," he states. I chuckle to myself as Skyler's cheeks turn red.
"Hey Dal, you got a shadow," Leala points out, gesturing to Tibby who is trying desperately to walk gracefully behind Dallas. She will be two in less than a month, so naturally she can walk, but not with any sort of grace. Dallas looks down at his eldest daughter and smirks.
"That's no shadow, thats my pretty little rugrat, ain't that right?" He states as he picks Tibby up from the floor. He kisses her cheek happily. All of us smile at that. Skyler giggles and then says, "go tell everyone lunch is ready." Dallas nods and holds Tibby in his arms as he announces its time to eat.
Eventually everyone gets situated at the large table Skyler has set up. All of the kids munch on small finger food at the coffee table a few feet away so we can watch them. We make conversation, laughing and drinking and of course stuffing our faces. halfway through the meal I glance to Soda who is sitting next me. He gives me a look that says now is a good time to tell everyone. I smile anxiously and look up at everyone. "Hey you lot pipe down I've got some new alright?" I announce. Everyone glances towards me.
"Lemme guess, you're actually a boy?" Two-Bit jokes. Everyone laughs and I roll my eyes playfully.
"No dumbass, its better new than that," I pause, not even trying to hold back my smile. Taking s deep breath I finally speak. "We're pregnant again, one month along!" I expect cheers, laughing, and mumbled congratulations. Even some disbelieved faces. That, of course, is not what happens at all. Skyler's eyes get huge.
"You are too?!" Skyler yells. Dallas spits out his beer.
"You WHAT?" My big brother screams in the disbelief I was looking for.
"Well might as well say it, Leala and I are married," Darry states matter of factly. Soda accidentally knocks his knees up into the table when he jumps in shock at his brother's statement. Everyone goes dead silent, just staring at each other. Two-Bit breaks the silence.
"You lot done shouting madness?" He asks.
"You're pregnant?" Dallas asks Skyler again. Skyler takes a sip of a beer, quickly realizing what she is doing and spitting it back into the bottle.
"So is she," Skyler says pointing at me like a five year old accusing another five year old.
"Skyler, come on," Dallas says seriously. Skyler takes another sip of beer, yet again realizing she cannot drink and spits it back into the bottle.
"For the love of God someone take this away from me," Skyler states. Dallas snatches it.
"My pleasure," He says before gulping it all back quickly. Yet again everyone goes quiet.
Steve clears his throat. "Well, this seems like a conversation that requires a dinner."
"I'll fire up the grill," Soda offers.
"I'll throw your balls on it, maybe then they'll stop making babies" Two-Bit jokes in his natural way. Soda glares at him and makes his way out to the grill. Keith follows him giggling.
"I'll get Pony on the phone," Johnny mutters as he walks to the phone.
"Skyler lets go talk in private," Dallas suggests, taking her hand and leading them away to their bedroom.
"I'll watch the kids," Leala states, leaving the table.
"Well congrats everyone" Lena says after awhile of some more awkward silence.
