2| "Where The Hell Is My Shirt?"

<Skyler's POV>

I once again wake up in the small living room, this time surrounded by more people.

"Hey guys, the princess is awake," someone yells.

"Hey I thought I was the princess," a girl a little younger than me says.

"Actually both of you are wrong, this face obviously wins the title," a tall handsome guy says. I sigh.

"You can have the God damn title, I don't want it."

"She speaks too guys!" Another boy says.

"Shut up Steve," the guy who saved me says. Only now, in daylight do I recognize that the guy who saved me is none other than Dallas Wintson. I heard some redhead talking about him on the street. I hear he's a real bad guy. "So how you feeling?" Dally asks.

"Well I'd feel better if you put a shirt on," I say rolling my eyes. He was pretty hot though. He laughs a little.

"Well in order to do that I'd have to take the shirt that your wearing off," he says smirking. Soon, I realize I am not wearing my shirt, but instead a big and black one.

"Where the hell is my shirt?" I ask frantically.

"On the side walk," Dally says. I sigh and take out a cigarette from my pocket. before I can even light the damn thing the one who looks like the oldest here yells at me.

"On the porch, no smoking in the house!" I grunt attempting to get up. Dally helps me up because my leg refuses to work. I allow Dally to lead me to the porch. We sit down on the steps and Dally takes out a cigarette to.

"Don't mind Darry, he's a bit of a grump," he says. I ignore him. "So what's your name?" I debate whether or not to tell him. I decide that no harm can come from telling a guy your name.

"Skyler." My voice comes out plain, with its usual emotionless, tough tone.

"Just Skyler?" Dally asks. I groan in annoyance.

"Ugh! My name is Skyler Elizabeth and I'm not telling you my last name," I yell in annoyance. He begs for my last name, but I refuse to give it to him. In return, Dally puts his mouth up close to my ear.

"How can I find out more about you?" He asks, his hot breath making my freeze.

"Each time you see me I'll tell you something more, but you won't see me a lot, goodbye Dallas Winston," I say slowly getting up, my ankle screaming in pain.

"Wait," he says, grabbing my wrist, "don't you want to know about me?"

"Maybe." And with that last word I stumble away, hoping to make it to my house without collapsing because of my leg.

<Christina's POV>

I hope that girl comes back. I could use another girl around here. But I have to say she was intimidating.

Her eyes were a cold, steel grey with flecks of a light blue. Black sheets of teased hair fall down to her tailbone. Even the way she walked made you want to turn a corner and run. The way she carried herself like she didn't care what you thought. Envy grew inside me for her confidence.

I just sit there on the aging porch thinking about how we could become friends. Creaking, the door behind me opens and Soda comes out fumbling with keys.

"Hey Chris, I was uh wondering if you would want to go somewhere with me tonight?" He asks, swinging the keys. Soda looks so desperate, like if I say no he will be forever heartbroken. His blue eyes digging into my heart like Cupids arrows.

"I would love to go 'somewhere' with you tonight," I say as cheery as possible in this awkward situation. The smile on his face is unforgettable. The way it reaches across his face and shines like the light of the full moon. His eyes light up and open wider.

"Well then what are we waiting for?" He says holding his arm out for me to grab. As I'm about to take it Dally peeks his head out the door.

"You were waiting for my approval," he says with all seriousness. The butterflies that fluttered in my stomach happily a few seconds ago, now turn cold and mean. Dally just had to ruin the moment.

"Dal!" I yell in protest. He puts up a finger.

"Eh eh honey, I just needed to tell this boy something, have her home by 10:00, and by the way," Dally sad lowering his voice, "if you hurt her or even lay a finger on her bare skin you'll be sorry." I put my head down in embarrassment. Soda gulps and nods. "Good, now have fun kids, but not to much fun cause remember I know where you live Sodapop Curtis." Well obviously, you're in his damn house, I think to myself. I quickly grab Soda's arm and make him start the engine to Darry's truck. We sit down in the run down vehicle and start driving.

"So, where are we heading?" I ask looking at him.

"Oh, no where special," he says smiling non-stop. After a few minutes have gone by we stop at an old playground. Soda opens my door for me and then grabs a picnic basket out of the back of the truck.

We walk in front of an old swing set and sit down on the dry ground. Before opening the basket, he looks straight at me with all seriousness.

"I'll make this as plain as possible, Chris I love you."

A/N Dropped a bomb there Soda. Jeez don't scare that girl away😂😂
