16|"...Covered In Curtis Germs."

<Chris's POV>

To everyone's delight, the next morning Dally is released from the hospital and we all head back to the Curtis house for the rest of the day. Now that Skyler knows what happened to my mom, I feel like I've got an extra weight off my shoulders, now that I'm completely open about my life to her.

Anyways, now everyone is sitting in the living room watching endless episodes of Mickey Mouse. I haven't left Soda's side since we arrived at his house. I sit next to him with my head on his shoulder and his arm slung around my back. Our situation is very similar to Dally and Skyler's except Skyler is being very cautious about Dally's side, much to his annoyance of course. I turn my head up and speak in a whisper. "Soda?"

"Yes?" He whispers back.

"Remember that night while watching the sunset you said you wanted to marry me?"

"I do vaguely recall such a statement."

"Well, I just wanted to let you know I am fully open to that option," I suggest. Soda smirks.

"Thank god for that," Soda whispers a little louder, resulting in Two-Bit shushing Soda with his pointer finger at his pursed lips.

"What do you mean?" I ask confused.

"Oh I'm not asking you to marry me now, I'm just saying that I have a goal to get a certain amount of money and when that goal is achieved I will have enough cash to buy you a ring and a beautiful wedding," Soda explains.

"And when will that goal be achieved?"

"Maybe a year," Soda guesses. Saying I'm excited is an understatement. Soda doesn't care that we're young. He wants us to be married. I can't wait for Soda to reach his goal so I can call him my husband. It may seem odd that we would be marrying so young, but honestly when I'm this close to a person I don't really care about age at all. I can picture the day already.

It would be a small wedding, taking place outside in the evening of a crisp fall day. Of coarse it would be planned so the reception would be occurring at the exact time the sunset begins. The gang would be there and maybe a few others, but all I'd really want there is the gang. I'd be wearing a simple white dress that isn't to fancy and Soda would be dressed in the fanciest clothes he owns, which is probably just dress pants and a button up shirt. We would exchange vows that would be awkwardly worded considering neither I nor Soda can write very well, although maybe Pony would help us out a little. Then at the reception they're would be drinks, a small meal, Darry's chocolate cake, and then hopefully the Curtis' would let us come back to their house to relax and of course watch more Mickey. The image in my mind is so clear I can almost grab it and show it to Soda. I want to marry him so bad.

<Skyler's POV>

After a while of Mickey, Dally's awful hospital smell becomes to much for me to bear. "Alright Dallas, you have to go shower, you smell like germs and hospital sheets," I complain.

"But I can't do it alone with my side," Dally says, pouting his lip.

"Ya Skyler, why don't you help him shower," Steve says laughing and bearing his ugly teeth.

"Alright Randle I will, but I'm keeping all clothes on and I'm not getting in the shower with him," I claim.

"Ya sure honey," Dally says as we slowly trudge up the stairs.

When we get in the bathroom I'm afraid of what will happen. Dally smiles at me. "What?" I ask annoyed.

"You're nervous," he says with that stupid grin. I mumble a please then obey Dally's first request which is to help him undress. Even just pulling his shirt up and off is hard for him so with shaking hands I help him take it off. To my misfortune I have to help him do the same thing with his pants and worse, his underwear.

"Alright, your done get in the shower," I say turning away.

"You can look, I don't mind," Dally says.

"Well I mind, now get in the damn shower," I demand. Reluctantly, Dally steps in and turns on the water. I lean against the wall peacefully until he calls me.

"Skyler Elizabeth, I need help."

"With what," I ask annoyed.

"I'm having trouble reaching my hair because when I put my arm up it stretches the gash," Dally explains. I sigh.

"Just don't wash your hair then," I suggest.

"Okay, but I'm going to need a new bar of soap, the other one is covered in Curtis germs," Dally complains. I groan and grab a new bar of soap from the vanity cabinet. As I reach my hand into the shower to hand the bar to Dally, his hand grips my wrist and pulls me into the shower. I squeal in surprise as my wet clothes start to stick to me.

"Dallas!" I yell shutting my eyes and trying to get out of the shower, yet every time I try I fail. Dally's grip is just to tight.

"You've seen me naked before," Dally says.

"Ya but that was sex, this is up close and I don't do that stuff," I say in a whine.

"Get used to it Hills, I plan on doing this a lot," Dally says seductively. Slowly I open my eyes and stare up at his face. "Now I don't think it's fair that only one of us is naked," Dally states. Courageously, I throw my shirt off and slip my pants off. Dally glares at my bra and underwear. "Off," he demands. Without hesitation I slip the wet undergarments off and thrown them on the shower floor.

"Better?" I ask.

"Better," Dallas says with that stupid grin returning.

"We're wasting water," I exclaim.

"Then let's make this fast," Dally whispers.

"I'm not having sex with you in the shower," I proclaim.

"I never said we had to go all the way," Dallas explains. I smirk and our lips collide and move in perfect sync.

------------_______

After only five more minutes of Dally and I making out, I help him out of the shower and we dry off. "Dallas, I kinda need clothes," I remind him.

"Chris has some here, just in case she had to stay here for some reason, they're in Soda's and Pony's room in the top drawer of their desk. I nod and with a towel around my body I run into the room and quickly find a white t-shirt and jeans. When I get back into the bathroom Dally is struggling to put his clothes on. I laugh and help him out of his awkward situation. Then I dress myself and we walk back downstairs together. when we are downstairs Steve decides that it's a great time to run his big, ugly mouth.

"So how was the unusually long shower?" He asks wiggling his eyebrows. To his surprise I smile.

"It was great, thanks for suggesting it." Chris laughs and then we playfully high five. I'm glad I let myself get close to these people.
