"How many nights does it take to count the stars, that's the time it would take to fix my heart"

The coach started it's journey in Daejeon and was heading to Daegu, where the main HQ for Athena was located. You arrived around lunch time and knew the area well as well as the employees who worked there.

Since Athena was well known for their strategic planning and for their brains, most of the heroes in training who apply to work for Athena have high scores on their hero written exam.

However, they do also accept a few others if they didn't do as well in the written exam but have potential.

You knew that if you were to apply for any company, this one would be the last on your mind, not even being able to plan what you're going to eat for dinner- nevermind planning how to save the country.

As the coach rolled up to the side of the building where most of the employees enter from, you get off before saying your goodbyes to Mrs. Lee.

Making sure to retrieve your luggage, you started to make your way in.

Walking inside, there were already workers from the company kitchen there, sorting out the boxes of food that had just been delivered.

A few you knew waved at you or said hello as you walked past them and you made sure to return their gestures.

There were some that you didn't recognise and it was either because they're part timers or they've just started to work for the business.

Usually, if you would have worn your uniform with the Nightingale logo on display, the employees would have known who you were straight away from the rumours.

Some may recognise you as the lone hero trainer who is strong enough to be sent on her own.

Others may know you as the person who declined to be a hero even though you went to a hero academy.

Because of this, they immediately think that you either couldn't handle the stress anymore or just wanted to prove yourself to be better than most heroes who accepted to go to these hero companies.

But all of them don't know the real reason as to why you didn't want to be a hero.

"Y/N? Y/N! You're starting work already?" A woman in kitchen uniform ran up to you. She had brown hair that was held up in a tight bun for health reasons and wore a huge grin on her face.

"Hi Mirae" you said with a warm smile. You met Mirae last year when she had just started working with the company for providing healthy meals.

"How was your break?"

"Good, well needed. What about you? Got into any major accidents recently?" You chuckled while remembering how much of an accident prone the twenty two year old was.

Funnily enough, that's how you two met; being a clutz in the kitchen was not a good match.

You remembered how she had accidentally cut herself using the new machinery and luckily for her, you were nearby to heal her.

"Not major ones! I only broke one bone this time" she said while pointing to her shin which was now fully healed. You were surprised that her power wasn't causing accidents or just having plain bad luck.

"That's still bad, you know that?" You raised a brow at the young full timer before shaking the thoughts out of your head on how she could have broken her shin.

"It doesn't matter, I have to go unpack. Be safe, okay? Like really try this year" you chuckled out as you waved goodbye and walked to the double doors that would lead to the atrium of the building.

You walked to the desk where two receptionists were currently finishing their lunch and getting ready to start their afternoon shift.

"Hello, Nightingale program and which room is mine?" You said while placing your ID on the desk for them to read.

"Let me have a look... alright, room 402. Here's your lanyard and key" nodding your head in the thanks, you once again grabbed your luggage and briskly walked to the elavators before swiftly jumping into an available lift. Pressing the 4th floor button, you patiently waited while listening to the elavator music.

Each Company building had dorms for heroes who lived too far and for the heroes who wanted to stay overnight for further training.

The lift finally reached the designated floor and allowed you to exit into the hallway.

Immediately, you spotted people with luggage out in the hallway, talking to others about whatnot. Trying to move through the maze of people, you remembered how heroes in Athena loved to stay over at the company as it was a luxurious place that had everything. There was a spa, state of the art gym, entertainment rooms and much more.

"Sorry, excuse me" you politely gestured at the two females who were leaning on your room door.

Realising what was happening, they quickly moved over and let you open your door and make your way in.

After closing the door behind you, you looked around at the spacious blue room that had one queen sized bed with blue sheets and the company's logo on everything and anything. The room was pretty similar to the one you had last year.

Looking to your left, you saw the wardrobe and draws and thought whether you should unpack now or after signing in to the hero trainers.

Deciding to unpack later, you left the suitcase beside your new bed and made your way out.

The crowd was still there, it reminded you how similar it was to the academy when everyone left their dorms to go make friends.

Sighing to yourself quietly, you had to squeeze through the cluster of people to get back to the elevators - wishing you could just shout 'anyone got teleportation powers?!'

"Finally..." stepping on the lift once more, you made your way down to ground floor where all the training rooms were.

Figuring it was nearing the end of lunch, people might head back to training which made you sigh even louder this time as you knew how crowded it can get in the hallways.

Getting off the lift, you turned left and started to briskly walk to the training halls. If you remembered correctly, the trainers usually hung out in the staff room during lunch so that's where you headed.

After a few twists and turns you found the door that lead to the staff room and lightly knocked.

"Come in!" Opening the door, you saw many familiar faces from last year which made you relax slightly.

"Y/N! I see we are having our favourite first. I have a feeling this is going to be a good year" one of the male trainers exclaimed as he stood up to high five you, which you happily received.

"Don't get your hopes up, I'm here for a week rather than two"

"What? They're changing it again? Nightingale needs to stop changing their schedule" another trainer exclaimed in frustration.

"Anyway, I just came by to say hello and to sign myself in" you explained while holding up your lanyard.

"Alright, we'll sign you in now- oh! Want to come and see the new recruits we have? I haven't seen them either but apparently this year they're really strong" the first trainer, who had greeted you, suggested- not really wanting to go train a group of people he didn't know on his own.

"New recruits? I don't know, I need to unpack still-" suddenly, the bell went off, signalling the end of lunch and for everyone to head back to training or work.

The staff room was quickly emptying itself of people as the trainers made their way to their designated training halls.

"Please, Y/N! You know they intimidate me with their brains" the twenty nine year old begged with puppy eyes.

Sighing for the nth time today, you decided a few minutes with the new recruits wouldn't be that bad.

"Alright, only because you buy me snacks" the other grinned victoriously as he lead you to the training hall that he was assigned to.

All of the halls looked fairly similar to one another with the few exceptions of how big they were or what equipment they had inside.

"Alright, everyone gather round" you watched as about thirty people ran over to the front where you and Jaeho stood beside the smart board.

"I know you all must be excited since it's your first day being an official hero, but you won't be able to go out until you gain some real experience and none of that studying crap" everyone stayed silent as they continued to listen to their trainer.

"I will be your group trainer. I will basically be carrying on your training from the hero academy to keep you all fit and to also help you all gain some more skills and experience. This is Y/N, she's from the Nightingale program and will be with us for your guys' sake. Her powers help you to take the next step without worrying if you fall" you smiled and bowed slightly at everyone before returning to your usual stance.

"Any questions before we start the tour of the training hall? Yes you"

"When will we be able to start going out to fight villains?"

"As I said, you're all inexperienced. Treat this as an apprenticeship- learning from your superiors who have experience and until they say you're ready, you will be stuck inside here" everyone groaned in annoyance, wanting to go and fight villains in the open world already.

Everyone started to mutter to each other, saying how this was unfair since they did all their training already and were obviously good enough to get accepted.

"Alright everyone, calm down. I said everyone-" the double doors that lead to the hallway opened up and revealed a man with platinum blonde hair, wearing a white Athena Tshirt that hugged his muscles perfectly with black tracksuit bottoms to match.

Everyone shut their mouths as they realised who came through the double doors with widened eyes and shocked expressions.

However, you and Jaeho were unfazed as you knew who he was and was used to seeing him around almost all the time.

"Rule number one, always do what you are told by your trainers in regards to your safety and others. Isn't that basic information from when you were all in the academy? Five year olds listen better than you all" the new recruits looked away in embarrassment, too scared to look up at the strong hero.

"You are inexperienced. This is true, this is a fact. You guys thinking that you're ready? That's an opinion. Opinions don't exist in this industry. Do I make myself clear?"

"Yes, sir!"

"Good. Carry on" the mysterious male stuffed his hands in his pockets before leaving the hall. As soon as he left, the room was filled with sighs and chatter.

"Oh my- I can't believe we just met him!"

"He's a legend in my academy, we have framed photos of him everywhere"

"Framed photos? He actually went to my academy"

"No way!" As they continued to talk, you looked at Jaeho and signalled that you were going to leave. Without arguing, he knew that you were going to talk to the blonde male before getting the new recruits to calm down again.

Quickly walking out, you looked left and right and saw that he was walking towards another training hall.

Running up to him, you walked beside him in to another training hall where other, more experienced heroes were.

"Hey! What was that about?"

"Nothing, just putting them in their place" he said while walking over to where the weights were with you following behind him.

"Putting them in their place? What, back to baby daycare? They're adults now-"

"Well they sure don't act like adults. Look, Y/N, I know you mean well but being nice and being easy on them doesn't help them get stronger" laying on his back on the weights chair, he started to lift the heavy dumb bells.

"Namjoon-"

"If you're not here to help me train, then you can go" you glared at the twenty four year old who you had known for a year now.

This wasn't the first time you got annoyed at what Namjoon said or did and it wasn't going to be the last.

"We literally just came back from Christmas break so I don't want to get angry but, for this year, can you just go easy on them just a little? And not make people quit" as soon as you finished your rant, the hero placed the weights back on the metal holders and sat up, sweat forming on his forehead already.

"What about, I try to go easier on them but you have to join me and Yoongi as a hero group" grabbing a towel from beside him, the smart Athena hero stood up and walked up to you so that you two were close to touching.

Seeing that your attempts at changing his mind were futile, you turned around and started to make your way out.

"We can't always get what we want" Namjoon muttered as he watched you storm out.
