Everything happened so fast ,I guess my brother was actually serious because that night my father called ,which was very new to me ,considering the fact that we were not on speaking terms. And I still don't know why

My phone vibrated beside me on the night stand I checked who and quickly shot up from my laying position.
My fingers fumbled on the phone  screen to swipe  the answer icon

"AMILA"my fathers deep and intimidating voice came through, a few seconds after I had picked the call, oh how much I missed his voice , my eyes filled with tears ,its been so long since I heard my fathers voice

"yes papa"my voice sounding low, I  was at the verge of letting my tears out

"how are you" I felt somehow relaxed ,he wanted to know about my well being

"I'm fine papa ,I miss you"I coughed and the tears came down, And started crying ,I looked down on the shirt Alex gave me,my tears dropped on the shirt one after the other

"I wish I could say the same, since you have proven me useless in your life , I no longer hold any importance to you" his words broke my heart but at least we were talking and that's all that mattered to me.

"no papa its not like that, I call  you everyday but you never pick my calls and I was planning on coming home but work" having a conversation with my father excited me ,it felt like forever since I heard his voice

"well good for you, since you were planning I think you should be home very soon"

"but I haven't finished my work"I said looking out the window ,the sun  has set and the sky was now a mixture of pink and orange , I was about to get up from the bed when I felt pain on my leg, that's when I remembered I  had an injury ,I let out a sigh knowing I can't move around freely,

"You are catching the next afternoon flight tomorrow"and he hung up before I could protest.

I can't even think,my dream come true has ended and now it's like waking up to reality tears of failure,distress ,anger, and hopelessness .

If only I had known, this dream wouldn't last . I cried and cried but i knew nothing,nothing at all would change my fathers mind .

I picked my phone which was in my nightstand and called my boss

"Good evening mr Pearson " I greeted the moment it connected my voice was barely audible because of how drained I am

"Amila honey,how are you"his voice filled with concern

"I'm not fine"

"Ohh why is that,do you need a break"he was worried,but I couldn't let that get to me because I have to tell him ,more tears formed in my eyes ,I had to look up to prevent them from coming down I folded my lips into my mouth to control my nerves and to make my voice okay,

"No sir , I just called to tell you that I can no longer work for you"I said after clearing my voice and gathering courage

"And why is that Amila? Are you not comfortable
Should I change the hotel,are you stressed please tell me"his voice coming out a little louder ,this was harder than I expected

"No I'm very much comfortable and relaxed,i can't work for you anymore not because i found a new job or because i don't like working with you ,it's because of some personal issues and I don't think it will be resolved anytime soon" I wiped the single tears that came down and sniffled

"It's okay Amila ,I understand and I do hope what ever it is will be resolved and you will be fine ,everything happens for a reason just trust God"

"I will ,thank you for understanding and I'm really sorry"

"It's fine ,though it won't be easy losing a person like you ,but whenever things are fine and you feel okay your place in this company is still intact and come back soon"

" I will Mr Pearson take care"

"You too ,goodnight"

"Goodnight"

The moment I hung up the door opened slightly and jasmines head popped ,she smiled and walked in then sat down close to me on the bed

"I heard everything Ami,and I'm really sad,I don't want you to go,why do you have to leave me ,I thought this was our dream to travel round the world together" jasmine held my hand her body trembling

"I don't want my best friend to leave me,Amila please ,please ,I am begging  you , don't do this to me ,don't leave, I love you so much and I don't think I will want to do this if you aren't with me"her eyes were filled with tears causing mine to automatically mirror hers ,her words ran through me and I could feel nothing but pain,I don't want to leave ,I want to stay and fulfill our dreams but reality,oh reality

I threw my hands around her and we both cried in each other's embrace my nose was running but i didn't care

"Jasmine ,listen" I sniffled and wiped my tears ,I let out a breath through my mouth

"look at me"my voice was thick and filled with tears

"We will still travel,and I'm sorry my brother put the blame on you ,I'm sorry ,I don't know what happened before I got here but jasmine after this Norway ,you are coming back in less than two weeks ,we will be together, I promise" she nodded

"Yes and we are gonna  beat cole's  ass black and multicolored"we both burst into laughter ,a single tear rolled down and I quickly wiped it

"Yes we will" we were both smiling knowing that wasn't possible and we weren't going to attempt it.

We both sighed still looking at her I smiled "I'm going to miss you soooooooooo much jasboo"

"You are a silly girl ami ,I'll miss you more at least we will have food"she said chortling

"Oh wow look the two fools were bonding hmmmmn what should we do to them Nina"Jess stood by the door with Nina and Kylie behind her

"Hmmmn" they all pretended to be deep in thoughts

"WATER FIGHT"

"NO ,NO ,NO,Jess please not again"
But it was to late because they all dashed out ,awww my poor room

"Let the war begin"and before you knew it my bed ,the floor ,curtains our clothes and bodies were wet. Everyone was throwing and pouring water on each other

And that's how we spent the rest of the night talking,playing games and by 4 am we were all out on my bed.

After 5 hours which was 9 am I got ready and packed ,my flight was by one and I needed to be at the airport two hours before time.

All my luggage's were in front of the door ,i called the porter to carry them,
He carried my luggage's on the luggage cart and took it to the reception the girls were all going to escort me to the airport so we all left together.

"I wish I could bash your brother in the face on the wall so he can turn ugly , so I would stop crushing on him" Kylie said  pouting with a cute frown one her face

"I'm sorry Kylie I think it's for the best"I said laughing and she turned to the side looking upset we all gave her a pointed look

"You guys should chill"

I shook my head I went to check in completely, though i had already Checked-in online

"Good morning" I greeted the lady behind the counter

"Morning" she replied ,as I handed her my passport and boarding ticket

After a while I received my boarding pass and my luggage's were weighed , then I went back to say goodbye

"So girls I guess it's time"I jumped a little startling them .okay that was really dumb of me considering the fact that my leg was still injured and hasn't healed ,I winced whispering ouch

"Yayyy" jess squealed

"Ami please don't go"Kylie and Nina said in unison

" I don't want to but I have too"

"ATTENTION PLEASE THIS IS A BOARDING ANNOUNCEMENT FOR....."the lady in the speaker announced my flight

"GROUP HUG!" And they all came to me and  we hugged each other tightly ,after what seemed like forever
We broke the hug and I walked to my boarding gate and showed my pass to a flight attendant ,my seat was in business class ,I saw my seat and sat comfortably ,shutting my eyes

Thinking about what would happen if I get home ,will my dad tell me why he was acting the way he was . A strong musky smell hit my nostrils,i didn't want to open my eyes to see who cause I was sleepy, but I knew it was a man .

I fastened my seatbelt ,the screen in front of my seat started playing flight guidelines as the lady appeared explaining what to do and stuff I looked beside me to see the man

And to my surprise Alex was seated beside me ,as if he knew I was staring he turned to look at me with this very gorgeous smile .damnn.

ALEX

"Hello Sir,I investigated the issue and I found out Mr park ,in the foreign affairs department issued a private meeting with the German investors and diverted the whole project to the other rivalry investors"

"Do you know which companies he has been in contact with"

"No sir,but I'll look into it right away"

"Good"

"You have some new investors coming tomorrow morning scheduled for 7am to discuss the new proposal they are making"

"Dammit I forgot ,you sure it's tomorrow"

"I'm very sure sir"

"Thank you peter I'll be there soon"I hanged  up  max turned  with an arched eyebrow

"Mr park from the foreign affairs department issued a private meeting with the German investors without my permission and has been leaking the information on the new project to other companies and I have a meeting first thing tomorrow morning" I was getting frustrated the work was increasing my absence not helping and the new project ,coming all the way to Norway to meet Jayson was just .argh

"That's messed up what are you going to do"

"I'll find out when I get there,book me the closest flight back right now I'm going to get my stuff" I said and turned to my room

"Sure"

"Good afternoon sir please come this way" a man dressed in a navy blue and red suit  took me to the private lounge and checked me in

He came back shortly with my boarding pass
"Sir your  flight is ready for take off and the boarding gates are closed

"Let's go"

"But sir" he started but I had already started making my way to the boarding gate the moment I got there a lady stopped
"Excuse me sir the gates are—"
"Call the pilot"

"But sir"I was already getting irritated

"I said call the fucking pilot if you can't open the gates"she was about to reply but the look I gave  he'd made her shut her mouth and she said something to someone and opened the door

"Welcome on board sir,I'll show you to your seat"she showed me my seat there was a woman seated but her face was turned to the window that wasn't my problem I sat down and the lights became dim ,after I fastened my seatbelt and relaxed a little .

A lady on the screen came on talking about guides , I felt someone's gaze on me and turned to the person beside me and to my surprise I saw Amila ,a smile automatically found it's way to my lips

She also looked surprised but gave me a very wide smile and at that moment she looked extremely cute not feisty just pure cuteness

"Hey Alex"
"Hey how are you?"

"I'm good you"

"Same"

"Your leg?" I said looking at her bandaged leg her ankle looking swollen and crimson

"Oh yeah ,this"she chortled
"It's not getting better, all because I had been moving on my feet in that airport except the part where I climbed the escalator but it still counts "

"Ohh that's not good,sorry and I hope you get better soon"

Thank you she had replied with, an air hostess came and handed us hot hand towels.

It's been three hours since we took of and I had been working non stop trying to see how I would trace the companies he had been working with but how would a guy in that department know so much information and that too about a new project, Amila  fell asleep not long after we took off

"Alex" her voice

"Yes"I quickly turned and relaxed a bit

"I need to use the rest room"

"Do you need help"

"If you don't mind"

"Sure come on"I dropped my laptop and helped her up ,I'm sure she didn't expect it because she let out a gasp when I picked her up bridal style

"What are you doing"she whispered

"Helping you"I stated flatly

"When I said help I didn't mean it like this"

"What did you mean then"I said dropping her by the toilet

"I meant. Never mind"she shut the door .she really is something
