Alex and I were both seated in the waiting area as instructed by a very pretty dark skinned   Nurse .hospitals are actually not bad ,apart from the  fact that the angel of death is always visiting sick people and taking them with him .but the one thing I hate about it ,is the extremely sanitized smell not that they smell like a toilet cleaned with disinfectant well some do but it just smells like drugs and I can't just start imagining those who seat for hours perceiving this..

I glanced at Alex who was tapping his feet on the floor he looked worried like he was in a rush and desperately needed to be somewhere.i tapped him "are you in a hurry?,is there something you have to do or somewhere you want to go?"he sighed

"I have a meeting by 8:30 and it's already 10minutes past 8"

"Then what are you waiting for"

"You need to see the doctor"

"No it's fine the meeting is more important I can see the doctor alone"

"Are you sure because I don't think you can walk to that door"he said pointing at the door that says consultant room 4

"Hey!, what do you take me for, you can clearly see that I am an independent woman"I said flipping my ponytail turning my head in a dramatic way
He chuckled and rolled his eyes
"Yep it's crystal clearrr"he said dragging the clear word .i smiled and gave him a little nudge on the shoulder
"Get out of here man"
"Thanks and take care.bye"he stood and gave me one last smile before he left .

Minutes later a nurse approached me "miss  Acevado "
"Yeah that's me"
"Please come in"i stood up  and gave her a smile that said please  help me.she nodded and helped me to the door then sat me down on a the chair opposite the doctor
"Hi I'm Amila"

"Hello miss Amila I am doctor Tim"
I shook his hand and smiled he returned the gesture

"So miss Amila what is the problem"

"A table fell on my toe,earlier"

He nodded then stood up and asked the nurse to take me to the examination bed when I was seated on the bed he drew a short stool and sat close to it,to examine my toe "tell me if it hurts"he said looking at me and back at the toe after I gave him a nod .

After the series of ouch ,oh my God,wait wait ,he requested that an X-ray should be done .after the the x-Ray he said i have a toe fracture that he would prescribe an ointment for the pain and I should put ice on the toe daily to help reduce the swelling and to reduce my movements he said there wasn't a need for surgery for my case but I should take some antibiotics "there wouldn't be a need for cast so I'll give you a special foot wear for the swelling I put a guaze there so that should help ;that's it I think you're good for now and if there is anything please do come back"

"Thank you doctor Tim"

"You're most welcome Amila do take care"he shook my hand and smiled once again.

9:49am

It just dawned on me that my purse is in Alex's car and I don't have my phone with; ohh My God ,what type of life is this I'm just seated by the entrance of a hospital cashless,phoneless and foodless this has to be the best trip ever....

I arrived at the office by 8:37am, I am seven minutes late,shit shit I started looking for the files and I saw Amila's purse on the passenger seat Shit ,how is she going to go home and her phone is plugged ,shitttt you Alex ,I quickly entered the building I hope this meeting ends fast so I can go pick her up it's weird that she's just a stranger but you know what fuck it I can't start imagining being in her place regardless if I live here or not .

It's been an hour since Jayson arrived and yet he hasn't even said anything serious or even business related everything he talks about sounds like shit ,
I don't even know why my heart is beating a bit fast and why I'm constantly glancing at my wrist watch "Erm so about the partnership I think it will benefit both our companies if you use your technology it will boost the business and your companies shares may increase by 10%"

"Hmmmn and what happens to the remaining 90 Mr.johnson ,is your company going to get that or what exactly do you mean"Jayson said smirking
"Funny ,mr Williams I suppose you know how partnership works and this is not the first time you are offered a partnership deal"

"I was only suggesting since their would be a need for new cars with an improved technology to make life easier and transportation comfortable"

"Yes of course but my company's shares doesn't have to increase by 10 how about 40 and yours 60"

"I suggest you stop acting unprofessional mr Williams because my company won't give your shares 40% rise"I said already getting pissed with his immature choice of words I wonder why his father chose him for this why didn't he come

"I'll think about it"

"Fine then we shall discuss this when you make up your mind"I said and shook his hand .donkey ass

10:26am

Driving back to the hospital with a huge bucket of chicken and fries I packed in front of the building I was walking through the parking lot when I saw Amila seated talking an old man I quickly went to her "hey"I said a little bit out of breath

"Oh my goodness Alex I'm so happy you are back I don't know what I would have done if you didn't come back ,dude I've been seated here for almost two hours my phone was in your car and and I didn't have your number I couldn't even stop a taxi with this dumb leg and some people don't speak English somehow and and..."Amila was ranting

"Okayy Okayy Amila calm down"she sighed then I smiled at her

"Now take a deep breath" I said holding both sides of her arms she did as told
"Are you hungry?"I asked
"Yes!"she answered with so much enthusiasm like I just mentioned the most important thing,yes food is important I know

"Okay then come on"I said and helped her up then carried her and before shaking hands with the old man and smiling then headed towards the car but some group of girls suddenly appeared in front of me
"Hi Alex I am angel,I'm Kate ,Chloe,Natasha...."they started introducing theirselves like I asked them to ,I just nodded and gave them a polite smile ,I just wanted to leave this place the sun was shining very bright Amila's Head was on my shoulder probably trying to protect her self from the bright light of the sun
"Is she your sister?" The blonde asked

"No"i replied shortly

"Cousin,aunt,neighbor,friend,girlfriend"I was about to say none but if I did they would like to be friends with me and we don't want that to happen

"Fiancée actually"they all gasped and Amila did also ,raising her head from my shoulder and gave me a hard glare ,I looked at her trying to make her understand and just go with the just flow look then she placed her head back on my shoulder this time very close to my neck ,I could feel her breath and it left a tingling feeling "yeah and now I need to take my soon to be wife home ,it was nice meeting you all"they smiled at me but I didn't miss the bad eye they gave Amila

"Boy oh boy somebody is going to be the new headline ohh you poor Amila now all the girls hate you"Amila

I laughed at her silliness but she was right this is going to be on tabloids and it's going to be huge

"Don't worry"

"Says the person used to shits like this"she said sarcastically. I unlocked the car and opened the backseat for so she would be comfortable.when I was sure she was comfortable I passed the fries and chicken to her she grinned at me then she started eating with so much joy acting like she wasn't in pain.

"So where to"I asked when I started the car

"To my apartment"

"Alright"i said then drove out of the hospital
