//Dean's POV

"Uh Dean. You're Rupunzel. I'm the theif." Cas stated with an amused smile.

Dean's eyes widened as he grabbed the back of his head.

He moved his hand lower and lower until he couldn't reach.

Oh damn it.

Dean looked behind him to see his hair, now a brighter blonde, flowing everywhere.

Dean huffed and looked down at his clothes. He was wearing a pink/purple outfit. At least it wasn't a dress.

Dean groaned and began walking forward when he was pulled back.

He looked behind him and saw people stepping all over the hair.

"Damn it."

Cas laughed and walked over to pick it all up.

They carried it around.

"Hey over there." Cas smiled, pointing at a group of small girls braiding each others hair.

Cas whistled, causing them to look over. The girls gasped with wide smiles.

Dean and Castiel walked over to them and the girls began braiding quickly.

They jumped over hair and flipped over more hair until it was all up in a braid. The bad part was...

They stuck flowers in his hair as well.

Dean looked at his hair. Well it turned out okay.

"Thanks girls" Dean smiled at them. They smiled and skipped away.

Dean turned to Cas and rolled his eyes.

"What?"

Cas smiled and shook his head.

"Well Dean. Maybe we should make the most of this you know? Have some fun for a while. It's not everyday you get to be Rupunzel eh?" He shrugged.

Dean narrowed his eyes. Should he have fun? They did have to follow the plot anyways.

"Ah fine Cas. Whatever." Dean huffed and began to walk away. Cas, a horse and chameleon following behind.

They walked through the town and passed a few shops.

Dean looked around. He was there to see the lanterns for the princess right. But...wasn't he the-

"Here Dean. I got you this." Cas waved a cupcake in front of Dean's face.

Dean looked over at Cas. Why did he feel weird? All tingly inside with the way Cas looked at him?

Dean couldn't talk. Was this how the girl acted?

Dean took the cupcake, causing their fingertips to brush against each other.

He blushed darkly as he took the sweet in his hands.

Cas seemed to notice because he leaned next to Dean's ear.

"You look cute when you blush." He whispered.

Dean looked away and walked faster.

Why was he being so flirtatious all of a sudden?!

Cas grabbed his hand and pulled him into an alley.

"Gaurds..." he whispered.

Oh yea...Cas was the wanted thief.

The watched the guards walk by. They turned to each other and smiled.

Dean walked out and looked around again.

Cas lined up to buy some food, Dean stood behind him.

He turned to look around as he was in the line and saw a giant mural of the king and queen and their lost prince.

There was a little girl at the bottom settin a flower down.

"It's for the lost prince." She smiled at a baby next to her.

Dean left the line and stared closely at the mural. He began to walk back towards Cas when a few people walked by, playing instruments.

Cas was right. They might as well have fun.

Dean walked along with them until the y stopped in one spot to keep playing and Dean began to dance.

// Castiel's POV

Cas purchased a loaf of bread, cheese, and a few other things. He thanked the woman before turning around to find Dean dancing around. He was pulling people into the whole thing with him.

By the time the got close enough, Dean had pulled in a crowd of people. People were dancing with each other, while Dean just twirled around, occasionally twirling someone else around with him.

Dean looked over at Cas with a wide smile and beckoned him into the dance.

Cas shook his head and watched. Before he knew it, the white horse had pushed into the group.

Castiel glared at the horse before his hand was grabbed by some lady and he began dancing with everyone.

He twirled around in time with the music and everyone around him. Castiel caught a glimpse of Dean dancing with another woman. He seemed to be enjoying himself.

After dancing with a few people, Dean reached out towards Cas, trying to dance with him.

Castiel also reached out towards him but they were both taken away buy other people.

The looked at each other and smiled. God did Dean's eyes look beautiful. So big and bright and green! Those were the eyes Cas fell in love with. And he was just beginning to love him even more.

Castiel watched as Dean was left to twirl alone. He had his eyes closed. He was smiling slightly, twirling around on his feet.

He needed to get to him.

Cas spun out of the woman's grasp and brought Dean into his arms as the music ended and people began to clap. He held him by his waist and hand. Only then did he notice, he was looking down at Dean. Cas was the taller one in this story.

Dean looked up at him, panting slightly, and smiled.

"To The boats!" Someone yelled and people began scattering thought the town.

They let go of each other, blushing madly before walking towards where everyone else was headed.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dean sat at one edge of the boat, looking around at the night sky as Castiel sat at the other side, rowing the boat.
"So...do you think we'll find Sammy?" Dean asked worriedly.
Cas looked at him and smiled.
"Of course we will Dean."
"Well I might as well get rid of these flowers." Dean sighed as he began taking them out one by one and Cas helped.
After a while a lantern began to float by itself in the sky.
Dean stood up quickly and ran to the mast of the small canoe, nearly tipping Cas over into the water.
Hundreds of lanterns began flowing into the sky.
It was beautiful. The sky was full of them.
There was music playing but no one was singing.
Dean just watched as the lanterns flooded the night sky, changing everyone orange and yellow.
Then something very strange happened.
Dean's mind was flooded with memories of him with Cas, and just Cas alone.
All those good times they shared together...
Dean remembered Cas was sitting behind him.
He slowly turned around to face him. Cas was holding two lanterns.
Dean sat down across from him and took one.
They let them go into the sky and watched as they never left their side.
Dean was now quietly humming the song he was supposed to be singing.
So was Cas. Dean looked away again and saw a lantern beginning to fall.
He reached out and brought it up again.
And then Castiel took his hand.
And they both knew what they were supposed to be singing.
"And at last I see the light." They sang.
"And it's like the fog has lifted," Cas sang staring into Dean's eyes.
And at last I see the light
And it's like they sky is new
And it's warm and real and bright,
And the world has somehow shifted...
Then Dean realized.
He had fallen in love with Castiel.
"All at once...everything is different...now that I see you..." They sang leaning closer.
"Now that I see you..." Cas sang as he placed a hand at the back of Dean's neck and leaned in.
"Whoa whoa whoa boys! Hold the phone! I can't have you guys smooching so quickly! Oh no I can't. I'm speeding forward."
