Sokovia

It took Bucky almost three days to decide that we were heading back up North, and it took another day to get there. It wasn't as cold as I thought it would've been though, but that wasn't a problem.

Bucky and I were trotting down the main road looking for food. It didn't seem like there was much to go around in this small town.

Bucky seemed to agree, "I don't think we're going to be able to get any food from anyone," he informed.

I nodded, glancing at a couple kids who were scarfing down some bread.

Bucky turned and headed back the way we'd come, it didn't take long for us to be surrounded by trees.

"We can eat like our ancestors did," I told him, ear twitching as a startled rabbit took off.

He flattened his ears, "That makes us more like animals," Bucky commented absently.

I sat down and looked at him, "I guess it does, but I don't want to take food from these people. They're starving," I told him I twitched my ear as he huffed.

"You stay here and I'll be back," I told him with a nudge before I trotted off into the brush. I heard him huff again just before he was out of earshot.

I came back about half an hour later carrying two rabbits. He wasn't there when I got back to the spot.

I dropped the two rabbits on the ground before sniffing the air with a whine. I got a huff in reply as Bucky stepped out of the brush.

My tail wagged a little, "I caught one for each of us," I told him proudly.

"I found somewhere for us to stay," Bucky informed as he grabbed a hold of one of the rabbits legs.

I let him take that one before he led me off to the safe space he'd found. It was a couple fallen logs leaning against a rock.

I sat down with the rabbit laying on my fore paws, Bucky jumped on top of the rock and did the same.
