Scotland

We arrived in Scotland late the next day.

Bucky seemed wary of Thorondor, but also appreciated the easy transportation.

Scotland was peaceful.

Bucky and I roamed the streets in our canine forms.

Quite a few people stopped to give us pets, but I usually blocked them off from Bucky and took all the touching for him. It seemed to make him happier, so I kept doing it.

We'd been in Scotland for a few days before we found somewhere safe to stay. It was in an old shed in a park.

Bucky said he thought it was used to be for park maintenance.

It was cold though, so Bucky and I were still curled up waiting for morning when we'd heard a couple teens outside we could smell cigarettes.

"It's so cool! The Avengers were in Sokovia fighting HYDRA," one of them was saying.

Bucky and I lifted our heads to stare in their general direction.

"I just hope whatever they're fighting doesn't end up here," the other said.

Bucky heaved himself to his paws and approached the wall the teens were on the other side of and let out a deep growl.

I could practically hear the two stiffen.

"What the hell was that?" the first asked.

Bucky let out a snarl, which caused the two to let out a squeal and take off running.

I got up and rubbed my head against his side, "Let's go find out what they did now hm?" I suggested.

He relaxed with a sigh. "I guess we should see what Steve's gotten into now," he agreed.

I squeezed through a hole in the side of the shed, the teenagers were still running.

Bucky and I found ourselves sitting in front of an old man who was reading the paper that had the Avengers on the front page.

I was reading it while Bucky kept watch.

Bucky was laying on the ground near the man's feet and gave a chuff, "Are you done yet?"

I tapped his muzzle with my tail, "Give me a second,".

He huffed a breath and laid his head on his paws.

I got up and started walking off when I finished.

Bucky was instantly trotting behind me. "What did you find?" Bucky questioned as he slowed to walk beside me.

"That they raided the HYDRA base in Sokovia, they didn't release any more details than that," I told him briefly, glancing around at the road signs.

"Do you think we should look over it?" Bucky asked as I turned onto one of the roads, cutting through an alley.

"I don't know, it's whatever you want to do Bucky," I told him as I sat down and stared at the back door of one of the restaurants in the alley expectantly.

Bucky huffed and laid his head on top of mine as the door opened, revealing the owner's wife.

"Oi George!" she yelled, turning her head back to the restaurant.

There was a heavy sigh, "Yes dear?" the husband just looked over her shoulder before giving another sigh and turning back.

The wife always demanded that he feed us when we showed up since he wouldn't let her 'keep' us.
