"Princess! I'm so sorry! Please, look the other way. I can't let you see me like this!"

He quickly tried to turn around on his bed, with flushed red cheeks he flinched and failed to turn.
I walked in quickly grabbing a cloth and wetting it.

"Just let me help you Jack!"
I go over and start cleaning up the blood on his chest.
"Now you're going to tell me what on earth happened!"

"I-I was walking to my room when I tripped and fell.
I had a tomato and knife in my hands, To umm....make you this."

He holds out a tomato cut professionally by using culinary expertise into a rose on this little dish I would usually use to carry sauce in.
I smiled widely at the skill it took to create the rose.

"That's very sweet of you but it still doesn't explain the blood."
I look into his eyes waiting for a reply.
"I dropped the knife and went to pick it up.
I fell out of pain bending over and I fell on top of the knife.
Luckily the blade was sideways so it didn't puncture me.
I just got a couple scratches that's all." He said as I cleaned the rest of the blood off his chest.

"This looks a lot worse than a couple of scratches Jack."
I laughed a little.
"You sure aren't very careful with knives."

He grinned and laughed a little then tensed for laughing hurt his chest.

"It's not too bad.
I'm still living and breathing right?"
He looked directly into my eyes as I once again started to bandage him up. "Or maybe I'm just in heaven because I have the most beautiful view."

I smiled at the comment.
"There, all finished."
I took the knife from the ground and cleaned it.
"You best be careful next time you decide to impress me."

He looked up with a smirk on his face.
"So I did impress you?"
He asked.

"Maybe, maybe just a little."
I tried my best not to just lean forward and kiss him but...I started leaning in anyways.

"Princess stop. You can't do that."
He paused for a moment.
"As much as I'd like, no, love for you to kiss me right now, you can't.
It's not right."

I looked at him with a burning sensation inside me.
"I-I'm sorry, I don't know what came over me. I should go."
I started to exit the room.

"Princess wait!"
He tried to stand and succeeded.
"Here." He handed me the rose carving

I couldn't help but smile while looking at it.
"Thank you."
I said softly and left.

I went over to Nate's room and decided it was time I checked on the man who disappears early at dinner and is quiet all the time.

Knock knock

He opened the door wide expecting a maid I assume by the way he was standing, comfortable and casual.

"What did you nee- Princess!"
He quickly became stiff and bowed then stood up straight and tall.

"Relax, I'm only here to see why you're so mysterious."
I beamed.

"Well then, come right in my lady."
He gestured with his hand and I walked in.
