Sneaking Out

Rose's pov

The house is cleaned and I found some ingredients to make a stew, so I started making dinner.
All that's left is for it to simmer until he comes home.
I wonder when he'll be back.
Should I sneak out?
Might as well.
What's the worst that could happen right?
I go to the door of the bunker and it won't budge.
I'M LOCKED IN?!
What if there was a fire or who knows what!
Wait a minute...water has to go and come from somewhere.
I find a sewer grate.
Eww, it smells awful, I thought to myself as my nose cringed in disgust.
Well here goes.
I drop down into the sewer.
Luckily not into the green and brownish looking water.
I land onto the stone floor that lines the stone walls throughout the tunnels.
It sure is dark in here.
I climb back up and create a torch.
I light it and go back down.
I take a left then a right then a right then a left then a right.
Soon I find a light not made by my torch and head out of the sewer.
I look around and I'm in a village.
From afar, there is a huge castle.
It looks so familiar.
I felt drawn to it for some reason.
I start heading through the village only staring at the castle.
A young man selling bread looks at me with his head cocked to the side in confusion.

"Excuse me, who are you?"
It caught me off guard.

"Oh! Umm, hi. I'm-"
How on earth did I forget my own name?
"-I think I have forgotten.
I'm sorry, but I'm lost.
I'm looking for something, but I don't know what I'm looking for.

"Come, I think you need some rest and a warm dinner."
He seemed genuinely sweet, so I followed him into his house.

"Thank you for your kindness.
I'm not exactly sure who I am or where I came from.
Apparently I'm engaged to this very serious guy and it just seems off.
I don't think I'd ever or want to marry a man like that, but I mean I can't hurt him.
I have no memories of anything before now."

He looked at me with a curious eye brow.
"Well you certainly are of great beauty.
Any man would be lucky to have you, but that's not what caught my eye.
It just so happens that you look a lot like the Princess who lives up in the castle."

I almost start to laugh.
"Me, look like a princess?"

I studied the fabric I was in along with how dirty I was with as layer of dust fresh on my skin.

"Well you sir, must be joking."
I laughed once again.

"I'm not my lady, for your hair, your eyes, even your stature are all of the Princess' looks as well.
You could be twins!
I must take you there tomorrow at dawn if that's alright with you."

He really wasn't joking.
I looked like a princess?
Of that huge castle?

"I think my fiance would be worried as to where I have gone.
Now that I think about it, I really must be going, before he finds out I'm gone.
He scares me."

The man looked at me with concern. "Well how about I walk you there. Just to make sure you're safe.
My name is Eric by the way."
