Second Day/Nate's Back?
Jack's pov
I woke up bright and early the next day, smiling because of what the princess told me last night.
It was time to get going again.
I started helping the guards pack up camp when I noticed something.
"Excuse me?
Umm, where's the princess?"
My biggest fear really had to come true?
Where did she go?
Was she kidnapped?
Is she hurt?
Is she okay?
All of these questions went spinning around and around in my head.
I started searching throughout the whole camp and even out a little farther.
Still no sign of her.
Where on earth could she be?
"Princess?!
Where are you?!"
I started calling out and that's when someone came up behind me and covered my eyes.
As startled as I was and worried it could've been danger I flipped the person and my hand went straight to their neck ready to press down hard. Except it wasn't a him, it was a her? JACK YOU JUST FLIPPED AND TACKLED THE PRINCESS!!!
YOU IDIOT!!!
I quickly got up and help my hand out for her.
"I am so sorry!
I thought you were an attacker or John or something.
We still don't know where he is and you were gone and I was worried and-"
She took my hand and I pulled her up and she placed her finger on my lips.
"Shh, it's okay.
I just went down to the river to bathe this morning.
There's no need to worry.
I'm sorry, I should've told someone before I left but I honestly thought I'd be back before anyone noticed I was missing."
I finally got calm.
"It's alright, but yes, please tell me if you are ever to go anywhere.
Now come on, we need to get back to the others."
We walked back to camp and after we saddled our horses we were off yet again towards the Eltsac Kingdom.

Nate's pov
I left around the same time as this young girl named Roseanna. Apparently we were headed the same way, so as she rode along I caught up with her and asked for the reason she was at the castle.
I was told everything that had happened and was going to happen.
I could now not turn my back on the princess and just leave.
I must go back, but not yet, I need to hurry home and bring an army.
Once Roseanna's path went left and mine went right at a fork in the road, we said our farewells.
Quickly, as fast as my horse could carry me, went back to my kingdom. Once I arrived, I got a small army of sixty men with horses, weapons, and supplies.
It was four days later when the army and I arrived back at the palace.
My army stopped for camp a few miles west of the castle, outside the village.
I walked inside the castle and it was full of servants carrying flowers and food and decorations and so much more.
I was curious as to why there was such a clatter that has arisen here.
I decided to see Jayden, as told by Anna, he would be here.
I had no idea where he could be, but I decided to check his room, or at least the one he was supposedly staying in when I left.
No luck for me was found there, so I decided to see the king.
"Excuse me sir, do you know where I might find the king?"
I asked a young man as he past by.
I was assuming he was a guard.
"At the moment he is in the grand hall, eating lunch with his future son in law."
I smiled.
"Thank you very much."
I bowed and walked off towards the grand hall.
I knocked on the door, as the doors to the grand hall were closed.
"Enter!"
I heard a voice call out, and so I did without any hesitation.
I saw Jayden and the King both sitting down at the table with a white cloth over it.
"What are you doing back here?" Jayden stood up immediately.
"Umm, actually to come and speak to you.
Excuse me your highness but may I borrow your future son in law for a moment?"
The king heartily laughed.
"But of course you may, and afterwards I would be delighted if you would join us in our little feast of a lunch we are having."
Once again with a smile I nodded. "Thank you sire, I'll only be a moment."
As Jayden and I walked out of the room and into a more private place I started talking.
"I have an army right outside the palace and I will stay here with the king.
You can catch up to the princess if you hurry and leave now!"
Jayden's pov
"Wait really?
Thank you Nate!
But, what will we tell the king?"
I was so excited!
I could be with Rose and make sure Jack stays away from her.
I don't know why I still see him as a threat.
He's never done anything against me and I'm sure he's an honest man.
"We shall tell him that you need to go back home to care of some things and that you will leave me in your place while you are gone.
Oh, and by the way, what is with all of the rushing servants everywhere?
It would seem you were putting together a party."
My whole face lit up with a smile.
"Oh! I was actually planning our wedding.
Umm, Rose's and mine I mean."
I saw Nate's eyes fill with horror.
"Without her?!
Well I must say, you are one brave man.
No man I know would ever plan a wedding when the bride is gone, but hey, more power to you.
I just hope you know what you're doing."
I was a little shocked by his statement.
Nevertheless, I replied calmly.
"I know she'll love it!
It's everything she always dreamed of when we were little.
I'm sure her thoughts on things haven't changed, but I guess I'll just have to postpone it."
My confidence held high throughout all that I had to say.
"Well, as long as you truly believe this is what she wants, then I'm sure she'll be thrilled.
Just make me a list and I'll finish what you started.
Anyhow, let us go tell the king the news."
