Jayden's pov

I saw Jack walk outside.
She loves roses!
How could I forget that?!
I quickly went out into the rose garden, going a different way than Jack did of course.
I started picking dozens of roses and I created a giant bouquet for her.
I walked to her room and as I knocked, I heard her singing.
It was so beautiful, a song from the past that we used to sing together.

"Just a moment please!"
She called out.
"You may enter."

I smiled and opened the door.
"Well hello there, I brought you these."

I then handed her the lovely bouquet I had just made.
With a beautiful smile she took them and smelled the lovely flowers.

"Thank you, Jayden!
I can't believe after all these years you remembered."

She set the bouquet down inside a vase on a little table in the room.
She took the old ones out and carefully set them down in a bin to take outside.

"You're the greatest Jayden!"

I heard her say, as I then got arms wrapped around me giving me a hug. As she was hugging me with a giant smile on her face, my least favorite person just had to walk in.

Jack's pov

I saw them... together, like that.
She was hugging him with a huge smile on her face.
How badly I wanted to be the one was hugging, but nevertheless, I am here for something much more important than my feelings.

"Rosey!"
The little girl ran up and hugged her sister and she quickly backed away from Jayden to inspect who it was that had ran up and hugged her, which to be honest, I was kind of glad she had backed away from him, but the smile on her face was far greater than anything.
I guess I'd have to thank him for whatever it was that made her so happy.

"Excuse me?
Jack, who is this?
Do you have a little sister?"

I quickly looked at the girl.

"Well actually she-"

The girl immediately cut in.
"I'm your sister and mom is still alive, but won't be if you don't help me!"

Rose's pov

"What?
I'm sorry, but my mother passed away years ago...they found her body. She's buried in the catacombs."

My face full of sorrow, my smile had left and a tear drop found its way down my creek.

"My father's name is King Jonathon.
I have many brothers and one is supposed to be here with you!
My older brother was supposed to be the one who came but he did instead. His name is John, like my father.
He's you're brother, well not really related...but kinda!
His step mom is our mom."
She tried explaining to me.

"Wh-What?
But John he, he tried to kill me!"
I tried processing all of this.

"My brother, well your brother too, his name is Philip and he was supposed to come and since it was your eighteenth birthday, take you to see our kingdom and meet everyone.
But Rosey, dad is always mean to mommy.
I think he hurts her sometimes and I don't like it.
He treats all of his sons really nice but I don't think he likes me too much. Mommy likes me though.
She tells me stories about you all the time.
I've always wanted to meet you. Anyways, the reason I'm here is because my dad says that he's going to kill your dad, and take over this kingdom.
He's really mad at John.
He thinks that John is against him and instead is trying to become your husband so he can over power him and get your mother, our mother back."

I was in utter disbelief.
How could John possibly be a good guy?!
He tried to kill me!

"But, it's not possible!
He tried to kill me and he killed Eric!"

Tears started escaping my eyes, flowing down my cheeks.

"Look, I don't know who's good and who's bad but Philip and mom are both good people and I think my dad is a bad guy.
He always told me that our mother ran away to be with him but our mother says that he kidnapped her because he needed a queen and mom is really beautiful.
He forced her to love him and well, I was born.
She says that he uses me as ransom so she can't leave him or he'll hurt me.
I trust mom and believe her.
I ran away to get to you because I heard about John going crazy and trying to kill you so I got here to warn you, Simon, he's father's oldest.
I think he's coming to reclaim John and kill you."

I saw Jayden just stand there.
It's almost like he already knew that my mother was alive and being held against her will.

"What's your name?
I'll believe you once I know your name."

The girl, my sister, looked at me with truthful eyes.

"My name is Roseanna.
Just like yours is Rosella, and mom's is Rosalinda.
It's funny, mom told me that you'd believe me one you knew my name. Well, now that you know I'm telling the truth.
We have to go save mom."
She simple said with a straight face.

"Jayden, Jack, call the guards.
We have to go save my mother.
Oh and Jayden?
I want you to stay here and protect my father.
If anything were to happen to him, I just couldn't live.
Jack, you're free, you can go home if you'd like.
This isn't your fight, it's mine."

Jayden looks over at Jack,
"Go home, you're not in this fight.
As for staying with your father, I'd rather fight.
Can't the guards do that?"

Jack with a genuine smile then said, "I'm sorry, but I can't take my leave until I know that everyone is alright.
I am indebted to serve you princess, until you are married."

Always this guy drives me wild.
So loyal and sweet.

"Alright then, it's settled.
You're helping me and no Jayden, you're staying here with my father.
I can't have the future king of the kingdom out getting himself into danger."

I saw Jayden smirk.
I knew calling him future king would get him to agree staying.

"Well, aren't you going to go?!" Roseanna practically screamed.

"Oh right, excuse me ladies."
Jack bowed and exited the room.

"Umm, Jayden?"
He then kissed my cheek out of no where.

"I'm going, don't worry, and when this is over with, I swear I'll make you feel like a queen."
