Rose's pov

"It's been very nice meeting you Eric but I'm sorry, I must go now, alone."

"Wait," he said pleading.
"Please, just meet me tomorrow down by the river.
I have to take you to the castle.
They'll want to see how much you resemble the Princess and maybe they can even tell you who you are.
A relative maybe?
I don't know.
Just, please come."

I smiled at him softly.
"I shall try. Goodnight Eric."

He smiled at me satisfied. "Goodnight."

I then left and hurried back through the village and sewer.
Once I climb up through the grate I look up at burning hatred eyes staring right at me.

"What the hell do you think you were doing?!
Did I not tell you not to go out?!
Did I not tell you to stay here?!
Did you talk to anyone?!
Say anything?!
I want answers!
I want them right now!"

He screamed as he pulled me up off my knees by my throat.
He tossed me like I was a piece of trash across the room.
I landed really hard on my right leg.
Tears started falling from my face.

"Please, you're scaring me, go away."

He looked at me with fury.
"Go away?!
You disobey my only orders and you want me to just go away?!
Come here!"

He grabs me by my hair and throws me into a cage I never saw.
Hidden behind a shelf and barrels.

"You could've been treated nicely but you just had to do this to me.
You shall sleep, eat, and stay in there until I feel like you should be allowed to come back out."

I was too far gone in my screaming and crying that I didn't even care how long I stayed in.
I curled into a ball and closed my eyes crying softly.
Scared and wishing I would've ran and never came back.
He screamed a bunch of things I'd rather not hear.
He punched the wall and it made me open my eyes.
I watched the punch and my mind started spinning.
I fell into darkness and started dreaming.

A man started to walk off but John punched him in the chest.

"Where do you think you're going? You stole her from me!"
John screamed.

Quickly the man stood back up after taking in pain.
"I-I didn't do anything.
I'm sorry but you-you need to leave."
The man stuttered out the best he could right before he ran upstairs as quickly as he could.
John then uttered a few unheard words then walked off.

I woke up with tear stains covering my face, hair, and dress.
That was a really odd dream.
It seemed so real.
Like it happened and I was watching.
My whole entire life right now was in a psychopath man's grasp, who's keeping me prisoner.
I fear I'll be trapped down here forever.

"Are you ready to come out and listen to me Rose?"

Oh yeah, Rose was my name.
I should've asked Eric what the Princess' name was.

"Y-yes, I'm ready."
I replied very shaky.

It had been almost twelve hours inside that cage and I did not want to go back in there again.

"I'm s-sorry, I'll never, ever disob-bey again."
I said, wanting nothing to ever happen to me again.

I was so scared.
He took my face in his hands.

"I'm sorry too, I shouldn't have yelled at you.
I just got very upset."

He then leaned in and kissed me and I didn't know what to do.
Was I supposed to kiss back?!
