Farewell

Rose's pov

I woke up bright and early.
Time to start traveling to Johnathan's kingdom.
Also known as the king of the land, my sister's father.
As it turns out I have many brothers, blood or no blood.
My mother has raised them and therefore, I will call them that.
It turns out there are seven of them. Simon being the eldest, followed by Mattias, Triston, Wesley, Philip, Derek, and then lastly John.
John being the prince who came to marry me.
According to my sister, Triston and Wesley have taken a great liking to my mother and are on our side and will most likely try to help.
Simon and Matt are much older though and are at the King's right hand.
We will either have to try and convince them to help us or we will have to take them down as well. Simon is twenty-seven,
Matt is twenty-six,
Triston and Wesley are twins, they are both twenty-three, Philip is twenty one, Derek is twenty, and John is eighteen, as we already know.
Triston is married to Yvaine, a beautiful girl with silver-blonde hair, and Wesley is engaged to a girl as well.
Both men will be taking over kingdoms far away from there homeland.
Simon and Matt both have stayed close to there father.
My sister suspects that they are going fight over the throne.
Since Simon is first in line for the throne, he decided that he would just stick around until his father passes. Matt being second in line decided to stay as well and might possibly claim the land if tragedy befalls Simon. Derek was young enough at the time to be cared for by my mother that he is her favorite son.
I'm sure he will take my mother's side over his father's even though he is the king.
This is all I know about them.

I have exactly fifteen guards and two handmaids with me on this trip, as well as Jack.
Jayden constantly insisted I use a carriage but I have been horse riding since I was a little girl, so no matter how much he said I should, I decided I was going to use a horse.
After saddling up, it was time to bid Jayden and my father a farewell.

"Until next time father." I hugged my father goodbye, until the next time we meet.

"Until next time my daughter."
He hugged back.

I could hear the sorrow in his voice. "Please take care of her young man. She is worth more to me than all the riches in the world."

Jack stood behind me onto my right.
"I will protect her with my life your majesty."
He bowed then stood upright.

"Very well, I shall see you before the sun sets on the last day of the month."
My father then partly smiled and left the room before he started crying.
I could tell he was worried that something bad would happen to me, just like my mother.

"Farewell my future Queen."
Jayden said, as he went up to my cheek and kissed it.

"Farewell Jayden." I replied.
My smile sweet and kind.

"Farewell Jack, please do your best to take care of her."
Jayden, while shaking his hand firmly said.

"You know I will. She's worth the greatest man alive.
I just hope that's you."
With a genuine smile Jack simply stated.

"We must leave now."
I caught both of their attentions.

"As you wish princess."
Jack said, as he took my hand and walked me out of the room.

Once we were on the road, it was like all my worries slipped away and I got to relax for the first time, since before the prince contest.
It was so nice being outside the palace.
Even if I did have the royal guards behind me.
I asked them all to keep a fair distance and that they were to treat Jack with the same respect as they did me.
My two handmaids were Sasha and Christina.
They were sisters who have worked in this castle for about three years. They were both very nice to me.
I would've brought Melinda instead but my father needed her greatly if I am to be gone so long.
Neither of them knew that my mother might possibly be alive or that we were out to bring her home.

So Jack and I started our journey towards the Eltsac Kingdom.
