Jayden's pov

"Wait what?!
Why are you scared of me?"
I asked, very frustrated as to why she didn't want to go with me.
Who chooses a commoner over a prince?

"Eric, can't I just stay here with you? I'll do anything!
I just don't want to get married!"
Rose pleaded.

Why didn't she want to get married? Oh wait...bad history at the moment. Eric looked at her earnestly.

"I'm under the service of the princess. Whatever you say, goes, my lady."
He smiled, and it sickened me.

"Well now what am I supposed to do?! I came here to marry her!"

Right before Eric was going to answer the door swung wide open introducing the furious Prince John with a gun in his hand.

"If I can't have her no one will."
He aimed the gun at Rose who was frightened.

"No!"
Eric yelled as he stepped in front of her, right as the bullet was shot.
His lifeless body dropped to the ground.
I quickly turned to chase after the man who had shot, but he had disappeared.

Rose's pov

I stood there shocked.
I couldn't believe what had just happened.
I went into shock and started crying.
I knelt down over Eric's dead body screaming for him to come back.

"You can't just leave me here alone! Where am I supposed to go?!
Who am I?!
Eric!"

After several minutes of me screaming and crying I passed out of exhaustion.
When I woke up I was in a huge bed and not alone.
I woke up to see Jack, Nate, and Jayden?
I slowly sat up.

"She's awake."
Nate said calmly.

"Wh-where am I?
Agh, my head."
I placed my fingers on my forehead trying to ease the massive headache.

"You're in the palace, safe now princess.
You've been out for about three days." Jayden said to me.

"Why, what happened?
The last thing I remember was...going back to get my rose."

I didn't know what was going on. Why is Jayden here?

"Rose?"
Nate asked curious.

"The one Jack made for me last night...or I guess a few nights ago."

Nate looks at Jack a 'What?' look on his face.
Jack just shook his head.

"Well I want to know one thing...why are you here Jayden?
I thought my father wanted nothing to do with your kingdom last time I checked.

"Well you see, your father set out a price on you.
Your hand in marriage to whomever could find you and bring you home. So, here I am, and I have brought you home."

He looked at me with his champion smile.
My face in utter shock.

"Wait a second, my hand in what?!"
