What's Wrong with You!?!

A day later, Lukas still wasn't talking to me. Either he really thought I was one of his illusions, or he was just mad at me for leaving. I figured though after another day or two, he'd realize it really was me. So, instead of focusing on myself, I decided to snoop around the base, see how much it changed after 4 months. So, first I began to check on Petra.

I went over to her, expecting her to be hanging out with Jack, but no, she was talking with Jesse. They didn't see me, so I eavesdropped on their conversation from the corner. "Petra, I just wanted to say... you're a really great friend, and, it's just..." Jesse went quiet, the Petra continued for him.

"I know what you're trying to say, and I feel the same way. You're my best friend, and, I don't want to lose you," Petra smiled at him putting her hand on his shoulder.

The two smiled at each other; until there was a voice that came around the corner, and I quickly ducked behind the wall hoping the person didn't see me spying on Jesse and Petra. "Well, isn't this sweet. Hey Petra, I was hoping, maybe we could go and adventure down in the mines or something," Jack asked coming into the room, luckily not noticing me snooping.

"Sure Jack, I was just talking with Jesse," Petra replied pointing at Jesse.

"Bye Jesse," she waved farewell walking out of the room with Jack by her side.

I watched this happened, and thought nothing of it until I saw Jack and Jesse make eye contact. I could tell there was some tension between them. After the two left the room, Jesse sighed and turned to leave in my direction. I pressed my back against the wall as he passed, and I was glad he didn't see me, but for some reason I wanted him to so I could ask him about Petra.

After that, I decided to check in on Ivor. He was always so awkward, but he's really funny. I wanted to see him again cause he had such an ego, and it is hilarious. After a good 5 minutes of searching for him, I couldn't find him. "Typical Ivor," I thought with a smile.

Since I couldn't find him, I went and asked Jesse, he was the leader after all. "Hey Jesse, do you know where Ivor is?" I asked.

"He's on a da- an adventure with Harper," he hesitated.

"Harper?" I questioned.

"Ya, before we met you, we met a woman named Harper, and Ivor grew a liking for her," Jesse explained, as he did paper stuff.

"Aw," I cooed, Ivor finally found someone.

Most people find it disgusting when people date when they're over 50 years old or something, and I usually do too. But Ivor, and I'm assuming this Harper character, have such a young heart that strives for adventure. I smiled at the thought and went on my merry way.

Next, I went to go and check on Olivia and Axel, they're technically dating, it's just no one has said anything. While I was walking along, I saw the two on the couch. Axel's arm was resting on Olivia's shoulders, and the two were talking about something. They always spend time with each other, even though they're completely the opposite, but like everyone says, opposites attract.

After a while, I decided to go outside for a walk, I was going to and talk to Radar, but I couldn't find him. Plus, Nurm had gone with Jack and Petra on their adventure, poor guy, he was stuck being the third wheel. Also, I think Luna went to go and visit the new city called "Champion City."

I rolled my eyes, I heard of the lady, who runs the place; I think her name was Samantha or was it Stephani? I pondered and pondered, trying to figure her name until I came to the edge of the town. People were laughing and having fun, since yesterday Jesse announced that everything was ok, and allowed freedom and building in the town.

I looked far out from the inside the walls, over to Champion City. 'Oh yeah, her name was Stella,' I finally remembered. I listened closely, and heard a bunch of faint cheers and yells, then seeing fireworks and beacons in the distance, coming from the city. "Ohmagosh, championcity," I mocked in an over exaggerated voice slightly high pitched, then turned to walk back to the base, a quick walk was all I needed.

But on the way back, I could feel eyes staring me down, and I was kind of freaking out. Though I wasn't too scared, considering that I was a well-focused fighter, I could probably take anyone in the town down. As I continued, I felt something about the place I was in familiar, and when I passed an alleyway, someone jumped out at me.

I didn't take the time to look at them, and I immediately grabbed out my sword and shoved the person to the ground. I put my sword up to their throat, and whoever they were, they looked awfully familiar.

"It's you!?!" the guy gasped looking at me in shock.

"Sorry, do I know you?" I asked confused, lowering my guard.

"I'm uh... *****" the guy said quietly, seeming unsure to tell me.

"What? Dude, it's not like I'm gonna kill you," I joked, him not really sure if I was or not.

"I'm scared if I tell you; you'll want to kill me," he murmured putting his arms on the ground and lifting his top half off the ground.

I peered at him, trying to jog my memory, and then hit me. He was one of the first people I 'met' in Beacon Town, it was Aiden.

I then glared at him, proving his point. I put the point of my sword on his chest, resting it, then pulling out my old iron one and facing it in the other direction. "Where are your goonies?" I demanded to look around at my surroundings for his 'friends.'

He looked at the ground, sad and annoyed, then looked back up at me angry and said, "They left the group, they're in Champion City now."

Something in me didn't trust him, but my heart told me he was telling the truth by the look he gave the ground. I put my iron sword down but left my diamond one on his chest for more questioning. "Do you just jump all the girls from this alley?" I asked chuckling; realizing this was the alley Lukas had rescued me from.

"NO!" he yelled with a whine and embarrassed voice.

I rolled my eyes, and smiled to myself, realizing this guy really wasn't a threat, he was just lonely. I put my sword into my inventory and helped Aiden up. "Where did you learn to fight?" he asked in shock as he faced me, trying to make small talk.

"After I left Beacon Town, I went with this guy who taught me how to fight and keep my balance," I answered him crossing my arms.

"So, are we cool?" he asked, rubbing the back of his neck shyly, realizing he made a mistake of trying to jump me.

I looked at him kind of flabbergasted, he just tried to... whatever it was, and he expects me to be his friend. I sighed, realizing maybe if he just had a friend, he'd find a better hobby then, jumping people in alleyways. "Fine... sure, we can be friends," I smiled at him and giving him a fist bump.

After our awkward talk, he just stared at me, confused and frightened. "What?" I questioned, wondering what in the world he was thinking.

"I've never been attracted to any girl more than I am with you right now," he commented without hesitation.

I chuckled, and lightly blushed, but mostly because I was embarrassed for him. "Dude, do you realize what you just said?" I asked.

"Ya, and I meant it," he replied still a little shocked and confused.

We stared at each other, him looking at me with a stupid expression, and me with an amused grin. I couple seconds later, I hear someone yelling my name and running up to us. "Eden, Eden, Eden!!!" I hear them call.

I turn around to see scrawny Radar running at us really fast, then coming up to me with a quick stop alerting me, saying, "Eden *pant* it's Lukas, he's gone crazy."

My face turned into a scared, confused, and concerned expression. But before we ran off, Aiden stated, "I knew it was about time Lukas would go crazy, *chuckles* I mean, one time-" but before he could finish, I and Radar both gave him a death glare, and then he backed up slowly.

We picked up our feet and ran as fast as we could, but I couldn't hear Aiden say his last sentence. I don't know what it was, but it sounded something like, "what a gill..." or something like that.

We finally made it to the base and ran inside, but once we did, I could feel something was wrong. I didn't know where we were going, so I just followed Radar, and he led me to the door of Lukas's room, which was being blocked by Axel, Olivia, and Jesse. "What's going on you guys?" I asked confused on why they were blocking the door because it was obvious no one here would try and go in there, "also why are you guys blocking the door, I don't think anyone wants to break in."

Everyone became hesitant, and Axel told me, "it's not what we're trying to keep out; it's who we're trying to keep in."

Ok, that frightened me. Was Lukas really acting so crazy that he needed to be barricaded in his room? "Can I see him?" I asked them, it was kind of a rhetorical question though.

"You might want to listen through his door before going in, just in case, you uh... change your mind," Jesse stated, seeming freaked out.

"O.K..." I hesitated, but moved towards to the door, and placed my ear on it.

What I heard though terrified me, I heard a bunch of things being thrown and broken, and Lukas yelling in anger, something about the Admin. "WHY!?!" is all heard before taking my ear off the door, well, before being followed by something smashing against the wall.

"What's wrong with him?" I questioned, scared for him, wondering what could've caused this.

"We didn't tell you this, but after you left, Lukas had nightmares about you being tortured and killed, he hasn't slept for weeks," Olivia answered.

Everyone probably expected me to run away, or say, "Poor Lukas," but no. I said something that sounded mean, even to me.

"This is getting ridiculous, no one acts like this and is normal, did he ever get therapy?" I asked crossing my arms.

The three of them stared at me slack-jawed, thinking how I could be so cruel. "Sorry, I guess spending so much time with Kedar made me think differently," I apologized.

The three of them accepted my apology and moved aside from the door. I grabbed my sword out, and they all immediately looked at me terrified. "What?" I asked before walking in.

"What are you planning on doing with that?" Olivia questioned me pointing at my sword.

"Self-defense, what else?" I answered.

The three of them took a breath of relief, and it took me a moment to realize what they thought I was gonna do. "Did you guys really think I would kill Lukas?" I questioned.

"Well, you've seemed to change ever since you left, so we kind of assumed..." before Axel could finish his sentence, I rolled my eyes, and opened up Lukas's door with my left hand, and my sword in the other.

I could feel Jesse, Axel, and Olivia staring at me intensely, and before they had any ideas to follow me, or pull me back, I shut the door, with me inside. I saw Lukas holding something in his hand, and before I could see what it was, it was thrown at me. I quickly ducked, and luckily I was able to do it just in time. "LUKAS!?!" I screamed in shock realizing he had thrown his sword at my face.

He didn't answer and continued to make a mess of his room. My brain thought of different tactics I could use to knock him out of his delusions, and the first one I thought was stupid. I quickly ran up to him and slammed into him giving him a hug.

And, I would love to say that it worked, and he became happy again and boda bing, boda boom, Happily Ever After. But no, he fricken punched my stomach and kicked me back against his wall by the door. "There obviously something wrong with you..." I mumbled while wiping the spit that had flew out of my mouth off my face.

"No really?" I heard Axel say sarcastically from the other side of the door.

"Eden, you want us to let you out?" Olivia asked concerned.

"Give us a minute," I told them sounding really scary.

I couldn't see their faces, but I could totally tell they're staring at each other, scared. But I couldn't tell for whom. "Come here you son of a biscuit!!!" I yelled diving after Lukas, making Axel, Olivia, Radar, and Jesse wonder if I had mental issues too.

I pounced on Lukas, and shoved him to the ground, wrapping, and then pinning his arm around his back to keep him from getting up. "Lukas, what's wrong with you?" I demanded to know.

Instead of getting an answer though, I got growls and other inhuman noises. "Ok, this isn't you, their obviously something weird going o-"but before I could finish, I spotted something in Lukas's hair. It was faint, and I parted Lukas's hair aside to get a good look at it.

The thing was familiar, and it looked like something in the treasure room. It was a mind control device, only smaller. I panicked and quickly tried to pull it out, but I think when I did, I triggered something. Lukas yelled in pain and anger and his eyes went red. He got up, and I don't even know how and knocked me off his back. My mind raced to think of how to get the thing of his head, and then I realized as Radar gave me a tour of the treasure room a little while back, he told me that the only way to get rid of the thing was to put water on it. "Wow, this might be easier than I thought it would be," I talked to myself, looking around for water.

I eventually spotted a chest, and ran under Lukas, opening the chest to see a bucket of water. And before anything else could happen, I placed the bucket down and it flooded the room. It was a nice room, and I was a little sad to mess it up with water and stuff, but Lukas had already teared up a lot of things, so I wasn't too sad. Lukas screamed in pain as he began being electrocuted by the circuits of the mind controlling device. He eventually lay on the ground, a little smoky, but ok. I stomped on the small version of the mind controller and then helped Lukas up. "What? What's going on?" he asked putting his hand up to his throbbing head.

He looked around, and then looked at me. He blinked once or twice, I'm assuming his vision was blurry, and then asked, "Eden? You're back!!!"

He gave me a big hug, and I kind of returned it, but I was mostly glad that he actually knew I was a real human. "Hey, Lukas!" I replied as he sat me down.

"What happened to you? Why did you have a mind controller on your head?" I asked, cutting our reunion shortly.

His mind went blank for a moment, and I'm pretty sure it was because he was thinking. "I-I think it was after you left, and then..." he went silent until his face went dark, and he stared into the distance with disgust.

"Romeo..." he growled.

I lightly stepped back, a little scared. I kind of assumed though Romeo had done this, I wasn't sure. After a minute or so of dead silence, Lukas's face became paralyzed in shock, and he looked at me. "Eden, I almost killed you," he stated with fear.

I think he half expected me to start yelling at him, but I didn't, because I was just glad he was ok. "Lukas, it's ok, you didn't have control over your own body. I forgive you," I gave him a big smile, and then hugged him.

He hugged me back, and I was sure he knew I had forgiven him. We looked up at each other, and something strange began to happen. Lukas began to move his face closer towards mine, and I panicked. "CRAP, CRAP, CRAP, what's happening, what's going on, frick, frick," I ranted in my head as I realized Lukas was also about to close his eyes too as he got closer.

I adjusted myself backward, not totally sure what Lukas was doing, and I got out of his arms, and he just kind of stood there for a moment, his eyes closed and his lips a bit puckered. He opened his eyes noticing I had left, and luckily Olivia, Axel, Radar, and Jesse came in so things didn't become awkward.

I gave them all an innocent and cheesy grin as they ran past to check on Lukas as if he didn't just try to kiss me. They all went and checked on Lukas, and they were all relieved to hear that all this time it was just a mind controller. "Wait, when did Romeo get to you to put that on your head?" Axel asked.

"I think it was about a day or two after Eden left, I was out in the forest looking for her, and the Admin caught me alone and attached it to my head. He said I wouldn't think Eden was real, and that I wouldn't have control over myself right before he placed it," Lukas explained, "and I think after I came back, that's when I became kind of psychopathic."

"Kind of?" Jesse questioned, looking around the room Lukas had torn to shreds.

"Well, ok, maybe really crazy," he admitted rubbing the back of his head shyly.
