Lucas

"So you're staying at your sister's all weekend?"

He sighed. "Yes. Luke, how many times do I have to say it?" He mumbled as he threw his duffle bag onto the bed.

"Well that sucks. I heard that Lily was going to all of them." I looked at him.

"As good as that sounds, Mils wouldn't let me." He sighed and slumped in his chair.

"Are you always going to listen to your sister?" I raised an eyebrow.

He gave me the Are-You-Serious look. "Luke, come on. You know my sister and she's usually right about everything."

I nodded that is true...and strange. It's like she knows everything before it happens. "Maybe she'll let you go if you tell her why." I smiled hopefully.

"Pfft... Yea right." He rolled his eyes.

"It was worth a try." I shrugged and he cut his eyes at me. "Oh! Did you ask your dad about joining him?"

"Yes and I get an outright no." He said angrily. "Why?"

"He said that I wouldn't know how to act and I'm too wild." He muttered.

"Well that's not fair! If he's killed, who's going to take over?" I asked.

"Elliot since he's like another son. And 'more responsible' as my dad would say." He spun in circles in the chair.

A slow smile crept onto my face. Well that helps things a little. "Well what would you say if I got you into another gang?" I whispered.

He stopped spinning and faced me. "Meaning?" He raised an eyebrow.

"I can get you in with the Wolves." I smirked. "WHAT?!"
"Shhh...." I said warningly.

"You're a Wolf?" He asked quietly and I nodded. "So you can get me in with them?"

"Yea. Just tell me when." I smiled.

"...I'll think about it..." He said thoughtfully.

Elliot opened the door. "Milan is here, Michael." He said. Mikey nodded and picked up his bag and walked out.

"Did you get to him?" Elliot asked and I nodded. "Good job." He slapped me on the back.

"Thanks." I said quietly. Part of me feels like yes! And another part of me feels horrible. I caught up to Mikey. "You think she'd give me a ride?"

"One way to find out." He mumbled. She opened the trunk for him and he threw his bag into it and as soon as he git in the passenger seat I got in the backseat.

"Hey Mikey and what is he doing in my car." She turned around to look at me.

"Hey, baby girl. Is that the way you talk to your future husband?" I smirked.

"If you were my future husband, I'd have to be desperate and lonely and you'd be the last man on earth." She rolled her eyes.

"Seems like I'll have to start a world genocide." I said with a grin.

"Why...why are you still friends with him...why..." She shook her head as she put the car in reverse.

"You guys are entertaining. I like it when you and Luke argue." He chuckled.

She huffed and drove off. Milan has always been like an older sister to me.
Flashback

"How was you guy's first day of middle school?" Milan smiled as she opened the door.

"I had a good day, but I can't say the same about Luke." Mikey said.

I glared at him as I limped in behind him. Milan gave me look of concern. "Mike, don't tell me you didn't help him." She placed her hands on her hips.

"Mils. He didn't know. They jumped me by myself." I said quietly.

"Cowards." She hissed under her breath. "Go start your homework, Mikey. And come on, lets get you an ice pack."

I followed her into the kitchen and sat on one of those barstools while she came back with a ice pack. "You know next time they try to jump you, remember this," she said as she put the pack on my eye, "dodge, go for the weak spot, and go ham."

"What if that doesn't work?" I grabbed held onto the ice pack as she removed her hand.

"I'll handle it." She sat on a stool next to mine and picked up an apple.

"What can you do?" I asked bluntly.

Her silver eyes lit up with mischief. "More than you think." She smirked. I just quizzically raised an eyebrow and she laughed which made me more confused. She hopped from her seat. "Trust me." She kissed me on the cheek and walked away.

My hand reached up to the spot where she kissed me.

It's decided she's going to be my wife...
End of Flashback

After that day, she kept her promise. Those kids never bothered me again.

"Lan may I-" "Go to a party? No. You know the rules. No parties while Miguel is out of town and we all remember what happened three years ago." She said curtly.

"That was one time! One time!" He whined.

"One time too many." She muttered.

"If it makes you feel any better, I'll be there with him." I smiled.

"That makes me feel so much better." She said sarcastically.

Before I could respond, Mikey poked her in the side. "Oyé! Don't touch the merchandize!" She looked at him.

"Don't be rude to Luke." He countered.

Then they got into this shouting match in Spanish. Want a translation? Well too bad because I'm asking for one too.

"Hey! I wanna make it home safely! I don't want to die in here with you two." I muttered.

She pouted and looked at me through the rearview mirror. "We're supposed to be together, Luke. Through sickness and in health. Til death do us part." She batted her eyelashes enticingly.

"Baby, as much as I love you, I didn't say those vows yet. And on top of that I'm still illegal." I smirked. "But give me one more year and I'm all yours."

She shook her head. "Here's your stop. Get out." She said bluntly.

"May I stay with you? Please?" I begged.

"Lukas, I am already watching one child. What makes you think that I want another in the apartment?" She pursed her lips.

"Can I at least come and visit?" I waggled my eyebrows.

"Que sàs." She shrugged.

"You said perhaps. So that's a yes!" I kissed her cheek and got out. "Bye, Lan!"

"Bye, Luke. Better not cone too late or too early because you'll  never hear the end of it." She warned.

"Yea, yea, bye." I waved. She blew a kiss and drove off.
