Backstory: Angelique was born to a Canadian-born father, Leon Marchessault, who is a florist and a Dominican-born mother, Victoria Hernandez, an orthodontist. Angelique is an only child, and spent much time with her grandmother, who also came from the Dominican Republic with her mother. With her grandmother, she would watch professional wrestling, and found a passion for it. However, she felt as though her parents would discourage her from becoming one, so she fell head first into school. In high school, she became Vice-President of the Student Council and part of the school's cheerleading team. In college, she also became part of the Emory University cheerleading team, became a writer for The Emory Wheel and met Jamie, her first serious relationship. The relationship didn't last very long, as the distance between Dallas and Atlanta was felt greatly. When she graduated fro university, she moved to Boston, where she met Patrice. He encouraged her to follow her dream of becoming a professional wrestler, and she began training at a school in Boston. However, Patrice found someone else, and left the relationship. She then became friends with Reilly when Angelique accidentally spilled coffee on him. However, Angelique found a higher-paying job in South Florida, moving there in early 2015. Coincidently, Reilly was also traded to the Panthers at the same time as Angelique's move, and they finally began a relationship in 2016. At the same time, Angelique lost her love for genetics, and became a full-time professional wrestler soon after her relationship with Reilly began. As her matches got more attention, WWE signed her to a developmental contract in 2018, and she currently performs on the NXT brand.
