Terms:

- I am the only judge.

- I have a Discord server where I give updates on this contest and all my future contests, along with talking about writing and sharing stories with one another. The link is in my bio, if you're interested in joining.

- This is geared more toward small writers, though there will be some categories, like fan vote, that are more geared for larger accounts.

- English stories only. It's okay if other languages are in your story as long as it is primarily English.

- There are only two quick payments.

- If you do not do the payments before submitting the form (you don't even have to click off the book to do them, folks, please just do them prior to submitting the form), you will be delayed. I will not accept your form, even if you do the payments right after doing your form, for 24 hours.

- Ongoing, completed, fanfic, crossover, lgbtq+, mature, and original stories are accepted. Pretty much anything is accepted aside from a few restrictions I will list later.

- There will be a category for poetry, scripts, experimental fiction, etc., though the majority of entries accepted are standard books. There is a second category for poetry called "Record Of The Year" that is poetry-only.

- The work must have been written by you.

- Please refrain from asking me about when judging and prizes will be completed. As I am the only judge/host, it may take me more time than average, but I always get things done and keep you updated. You are more than welcome to ask questions about my judging process and what prizes are, though.

- Read the mission statement at the end of this chapter as it is extremely important.

- No hate or disrespect is tolerated here toward me or other participants.

- While a participant in this contest, you cannot sign up to my review/interview shops. If you are a past participant of the review shop and/or are waiting for your review, you can still sign up for this.

- Participants of my past contests can sign up here, even if they are past winners. I also don't care if you sign up to other shops/contests while in this one.

- You can edit and update your story while in this contest, but please do not change your title/blurb/cover/username when I am judging your category (I will announce what category(ies) I am judging when judging starts). You can change them when I'm not judging your category, though please inform me about any title or username changes.

- I do not give harsh feedback. My feedback is still honest, but it is not harsh. For examples, please see the Padauk Mini Awards and/or the Fairy Night Awards, both available on my profile.

- Every participant will get a prize of some kind. Please read the prizes chapter to see what all participants will get, regardless of if they win or not. So just by signing up, you're getting some cool prizes with a chance for even bigger ones!

- Please do not call me dear/sweetheart as they make me uncomfortable. My name is Raven, so you are more than welcome to call me Raven, author, host, Jiminbiasnim, Ravendipity, Rave, or whatever casual name you want, just not a sweet name like dear/sweetheart.

- As long as you have at least one core story chapter, you can apply. Things like prologues, aesthetics, prefaces, etc. do not count. Oneshots are allowed.

- You can submit up to four times with four different books in different categories. So if you have four books, you can submit four times, once per book. If you have one book, you can only submit once. One category/submission per book.

- Please don't get discouraged if you don't win. For starters, I cannot count how many times participants have lost in one category and then won in another. However, even if that's not the case, please don't get discouraged. At the end of the day, no matter what, you'll still get prizes just for signing up, and you'll get a chance to engage with fellow writers! My contests tend to inspire a lot of discussion, so I hope you'll join in. Remember that not winning in a contest does not mean you're a bad writer by any means. This is all for fun, please remember that.

- Do not attempt to bribe me. Unless you have 4K ultra HD seven-hour-long videos of Park Jimin in his 2023 blonde hair wearing that beautiful leather jacket fit from the WHO MV confessing that WHO was written for me and I'm his real muse with a white rose bouquet and a ring pop he's offering me to take my hand in marriage, then don't bother as I will not accept it.

Conditions:

I will not accept your story if it has any of the following:

- Glorification/romanticization of dark topics such as, but not limited to, r/pe, k/dnapping, ab/se, st/lking, p/dophilia/gr00ming, etc. It's fine to have these elements in your story as long as they are not romanticized. I repeat: mature stories are fine, but not if they are romanticized/glorified.

- If you won one of the Wattpad awards (ONC, Wattys, Ambys, etc.) in any year, please do not sign up with any book. This applies to your entire account, not just the book you want to submit. Shortlisting is fine, but not winning.

- Excessive (80-100%) smut. Smut is fine, but not in extreme excess, and not if the sole purpose of the story is to be sexually stimulating, which is against Wattpad's ToS, btw. If the majority of your book is smut, do not submit that book and submit a different one.

-- This applies to oneshots too, even if you are not submitting the smut chapter(s). I will be required to report your story because if you have even one smut-only chapter in a one shot compilation, that is against Wattpad's ToS.

- Any story that violates Wattpad's ToS.

- Any story with graphic r/pe. I am not comfortable reading those types of scenes. Stories with mentions of r/pe, loosely described r/pe, or implied r/pe are fine to submit as long as it is not glorified.

- Any AI-written or plagiarized content. Please keep in mind I actually work in the AI industry and can recognize AI writing, so I also understand that AI detectors are often inaccurate. No, you will not be kicked out over a single AI detector saying part of your text is "AI-written." I will do thorough screenings and will speak with you privately if I suspect that your book was written by artificial intelligence. You will get a chance to prove your work is not AI-written, so I will not just throw you out immediately if I have suspicions.

-- With that being said, AI assistance, such as using AI to help with grammar, vocabulary, and brainstorming, is fine. I am talking about stories where the AI actually wrote it.

-- Editing tools, such as Grammarly, do not count as they are not AI. Unless you're using the actual AI attached to the editing tools, of course, but the software is an editing tool, not AI.

-- If you would like tips on how to have evidence to prove you wrote your book and not AI, feel free to reach out to me publicly or privately, and I will give you all the tips I have. My Discord is ravendipity

-- In general, feel free to reach out to me at any time. I pant and bark like a hyena for a man eight years older than me living 7,000+ miles away who doesn't even know I exist. I'm really in no position to judge anyone, so seriously, if you have any questions, need any help with writing, or just want a friend, please feel free to reach out!

--- A lot of people are scared of me since I seem strict, but I guarantee you I'm the opposite, just ask Seamlesslove and she'll tell you I'm actually insane.

- If you have bolded dialogue, you will still be accepted, but please inform me in your form that your dialogue is bolded. Bolded dialogue fries my eyes, so I need to read on a different device to protect my eyes.

- I would prefer not to read male preg stories. I won't reject you if you submit one, though if you have other books without it, I would appreciate it if you submitted them instead.

If your story does not have any of the above, you are good to submit.

MISSION STATEMENT:

If you are new here and are not familiar with my profile, that means you likely did not see the badge next to my name (especially since the badge doesn't show up next to my name in comments due to my user being too long): I am a Wattpad Ambassador. I feel it is imperative to be transparent about this fact, and I will explain what it means for this contest.

I, in no way, shape, or form, would ever use my Ambassador status to assert power or control over any individual. I love Wattpad and am absolutely honored to say I am an Ambassador; however, that does not give me a free pass from criticism, suggestions, and user interactions, and it certainly does not give me the right to assert power over others in any circumstance.

You will never, and I mean never, receive any reports made on my behalf because you say something I don't like, you criticize me, you make suggestions, etc. My job is to protect Wattpad, not censor it, and I want to make that clear because there is a feedback track where I ask for your suggestions for future contests. Please do not be scared to give me honest feedback (as long as it is not rude or hateful, of course).

If you ever feel anything I say or do is limiting you or making you uncomfortable, please tell me. I will help you. If anything I say in my reviews makes you uncomfortable, I have no problem changing the wording as the goal of this contest is to inform and have fun, not to bully. That is why I have never, and will never, give harsh feedback.

That being said, sometimes things that do not sound rude/harsh to me are rude/harsh to others, which is why I encourage you to ask questions and raise your concerns with me, whether that be in public or private.

Secondly, this contest is not affiliated with Wattpad; it is a contest I am running in my free time as I adore running contests and reading new works. Please do not mistake this with an official Wattpad contest.

With that being said, please keep in mind I will be reading your book, and if I find it violates ToS, it is my requirement as an Ambassador to investigate it further. Please closely read the Wattpad ToS before submitting here and before publishing books on Wattpad.

Also, keep in mind that by signing up, you are consenting to me reviewing your work, which will include quoting your text and commenting on the quotes I pull from the text. You will, of course, be credited as the source material for any and all quotes I may pull from the text to review. If you are not okay with me quoting your text in the reviews, please do not sign up for this contest.

Lastly, as I am an Ambassador, it is impossible (as far as I am aware) to block/mute me. I have had someone in the past block me over reviews, but that is no longer possible. For that reason, if you have any issues you need to resolve with me or no longer wish to be in contact with me, please talk to me about it. My goal is to make you as safe and comfortable as possible, but I understand that sometimes people just don't click, and that's okay. However, if that happens, let's solve it together.
