EXPERIMENTAL - INTRO

Hello, everyone! Welcome back to another set of intros & results! We're continuing with the core categories, this time with the most unique category in the contest celebrating all non-traditional works.

Please welcome the esteemed participants of the "Experimental" category!

They are:

EsmeraldaDryden with the work Queen, which is a poem series following, you guessed it, a queen! Esmeralda recently scored well in the Rock category for Arcadia, which is a flash fic with a dark twist. Queen is completely different, showing Esmeralda's versatility as a writer. Esmeralda is both a writer and a poet, and Queen is an excellent series with only six parts out right now, but all six are worth your time. It's a quick read, and we've already seen with Arcadia that Esmeralda is quite talented, so I hope you guys check it out!

TEJALKAUR4554 with the work I SAW YOU WITH MY EYES CLOSED. You'll recognize TEJALKAUR4554, or Piecesofeunoia, from the ROTY category with Feelings meet fictions. I SAW YOU WITH MY EYES CLOSED is a poem dedicated to the love of God, and it's a sweet, eye-opening (no pun intended) poem with a lot of intrigue. Also, I'm still itching to read WHO IS MY HEART WAITING FOR?, which is a Jimin fanfic. I mean, I am Jiminbiasnim, after all. Lol, BTS aside, it's great to see you back in another category! I enjoyed my read of your poem, so I'm really excited to post my review of your work! Thank you for being here!

VeraChendra with the work Dear Journal. Now this is a unique entry since it's entirely epistolary, with the full story being told via short letters from the main character's, Alex's, point of view. It's a fascinating narrative that won't take you too long to read, so if you're looking for a new epistolary work, especially one with an entertaining main character, then Dear Journal is for you! Vera also has nine other works to choose from, such as Marvel fanfics and fantasy adventures like The Court of Midnight, which is all about faeries, adventure, and a hint of love. Thank you for signing up, Vera, and I can't wait to post my review of Dear Journal!

aweirdoonearth01 with the work An Online Mystery. Aweirdoonearth01, or simply Rose, is a writer with six works available currently. Rose has multiple one shots, so if you're looking for bite-sized reads, then I hope you check them out! An Online Mystery is exactly what it sounds like: a mystery revolving around a strange boy in the protagonist's messages online, and Rose, who hunts down internet predators, is determined to find out what this stranger's motives are. If you're looking for an online mystery full of texts, then this is the perfect story for you!

Sahityasikharghosh with the work Withered Roses. Sahityasikharghosh, or Sahitya, is a wonderful writer, poet, and person. I've been on record many times saying Sahitya is an awesome person who deserves all the support, and I want to reaffirm that now. Withered Roses is a beautiful poetry collection, and it's such a unique one since it isn't just poetry. I don't want to spoil what's inside, though, so I think you guys should go take a look and see for yourselves what the surprise is ;). While you're there, please support the rest of Sahitya's work, as he absolutely deserves all of the support! As always, it's great to have you here, Sahitya!

hanaonthenet with the work Overreacting or okay?. hanaonthenet (which is a cool username), or Haniya, is a poet with a dark academia vibe (great choice). Haniya also seems to be a fellow Timebomb shipper (literally one of my favorite ships)! Always great to see fellow Arcane fans. As for Haniya's writing, Haniya has four works available, and the one submitted here is a wonderful poetry collection all about emotions and how they can overwhelm you, hence the title being Overreacting or okay?. It explores how deep feelings can go in fun ways, seeing as the structure of the poems is always being played around with. Thank you for signing up, Haniya, and I can't wait to post my thoughts on your work!

Mochi711 with the work Letters Across the River. Mochi, or Esi, is a frequent participant of my contests, and she does well in my contests for a reason: she's a good writer, and Letters Across the River is no different. It's a perfect fit for this category since it's an epistolary story, and a pretty emotional one at that. Esi is known for her short stories that will either make you laugh, make you cry, or give you a wholesome feeling inside (did that rhyme? Did I do it right?), so if you're looking for a good read, Esi's profile is for you!

GoldenieTwilightie with the work Unwavering Spirits. Goldenie, or Tejashree (TJ), is a writer and fellow Wattpad Ambassador, and this work she submitted is a wonderful poetry collection. Something interesting about this work is it started in 2022 and received updates until mid-2025, when it was completed. That means you'll see a wide variety of poems and styles from TJ! This poetry collection is about exactly what the title implies: inner strength and courage. So, if you're looking for a positive collection that will make you smile, then this is the perfect work for you!

wenshi_nykx with the work Oblivion: A Wave Of Poems. You may recognize Wenshi from the Best Music Video category, and she had a great trailer for Nemesis: A Tale of Vengeance. Now, Wenshi is back with a poetry collection with a super unique premise. It's split into different sections, and the poems in those sections cover specific, interesting themes, such as the beauty of art or the afterlife. If you're looking for an engaging, fresh collection, then I strongly recommend Oblivion to you!

ivyB4winter with the work Letters To No one. You'll recognize ivyb4winter, or simply Ivy, from the ROTY category! Ivy is a talented writer, and we're seeing more of Ivy's portfolio with Letters To No one, which is a beautiful collection of varying unsent letters covering different, emotional topics, making it a perfect fit for this category. Ivy has also published K-Pop Demon Hunters: Soulbound since the last introduction I've posted, so if you're a fan of the movie and want to check out Ivy's writing, then I suggest you check out Soulbound!

WHITELION692 with the work FIRM. White Lion is a writer and poet with sixteen works available! FIRM is a wonderful, educational poem that tells a story about bullying and its real impacts on the youth. It's an important poem and one that deserves support, so if you have a spare minute to check it out, I strongly recommend it! White Lion also has other works, such as DREAM OF DEATH, which is nearing a thousand reads, so I hope you guys check that one out as well! White Lion, it's great to have you here, and I can't wait to post my thoughts on FIRM!

Sohinigoswami with the work Recreating Life. Sohinigoswami, or Eerie Haven, is a very talented writer and poet with an impressive portfolio. I've read Recreating Life before, so I can speak from experience when I say it's solid, and it's a worthwhile read. Something I've always appreciated about her writing is how she isn't scared of taking risks, and Recreating Life is proof of that with how often she plays around with structure. Quite literally this collection is full of challenges, and every poem is bite-sized but impactful, so if you're looking for a great poet to follow, then I strongly recommend Sohinigoswami's profile!

SeraDrake with the work Excavations. I'm sure most recognize SeraDrake by now, seeing as Sera is a frequent contest participant and judge. Excavations is a poetry collection full of style, unique themes, and good writing. SeraDrake is best known for Ancilla, and their work is always risky and breaks the norms of Wattpad, making Sera a perfect fit for this category. I believe we should celebrate the ambitious, experimental works, seeing as they tend to fall behind in the algorithm on any writing platform, so if you're looking for engaging, unique works unlike what you normally see on Wattpad, then SeraDrake's whole profile is for you!

Last but certainly not least is Seamlesslove with the book Phantasmagoria. You'll recognize Seamlesslove, or An, from the previous category, Rock, where she took home first place for her work Succinct Tales, specifically the Cruor chapter. Phantasmagoria is one I've read before and enjoyed, so I'm excited to reread it and give my updated thoughts! It's hard to say much about it without spoiling anything, though just know it's a very experimental work that will keep you on your toes and have your jaw dropping at times, so if you're looking for a surprising, engaging work, then Phantasmagoria (which also has a pretty title) is for you!

Total participants: 14.

Thank you guys for reading! This is a pretty big category with 14 participants. Though, that said, I'm almost done with this category. All the reviews are written, but I need to edit them and create album scorecards + format everything, so it will still take probably at least another day or so.

I'll be transitioning into Disco after this category is done. We're close to finishing this contest, so let's hope we can do so soon! The only issue is SOTY will take a hot minute, but I hope to have at least the other categories out at a good rate.

Thanks for reading, and see y'all soon!
