I knew the talk with my mom would be a long one so I went to bed early. I woke up around 7:30am and got ready to head to my mom's. Arriving at my mom's house I see my stepdad James leaving for work, we hug and say good morning then gets in his truck and leaves, walking into the house I see my mom drinking coffee at the table so I walk over kiss her cheek and say "good morning". My mom looks at me and says "what brings you by so early" and I saw "I think it's time to start looking for my dad" she smiles and says "I will tell you everything I know about him babygirl, grab something to write on" so I get up and grab a paper from the printer and a pen. After I sat back down she says "his name is Johnny Cappelletty from Toledo, Ohio and he has a son who should be 24 now named JP and he was once married to a Mary. When we were together he was going through a divorce but I loved him so I didn't mind. When I got pregnant with you I was so excited, we always talked about having kids together. Then one day Johnny got a call, he stayed on the phone for hours and when he got off he was in a different mood. He was quite and when I asked him something he was snappy, then all of a sudden he stood up and said I'm out and left. I've never seen or heard from him again. I tried, I tried for years to get in contact with him to tell him about you but he changed his number. I know your childhood was hard without him around and I'm so sorry for that. I love you" and I said "yes my childhood was hard without him but you did everything in your power to make sure I had a good life. I love you" by the end of our talk we both had tears in our eyes.
