"Jungkook?"
She looked around the room, but saw no sign of him.
Eileen got out of bed, and walked along the creaking wood. She opened the door that leads outside and noticed Jungkook speaking to Jin.
"Of course, I'll tell her."
Jungkook smiled at him, heading back over to me.
"What is it?"
She asked, yawning.
"He said we should take a walk around town, you know, get to know the place?"
He slipped his raincoat on.
"Are you sure?"
She stuck her hand out into the pouring rain.
"Listen, I really want this to work. Plus, we need to find out where we can buy food and clothes."
"Fine."
She sighed, grabbing her raincoat as well.
They locked the door behind them and stepped into the muddy ground. It was strangely gloomy ever since they've been here. It's as if the sun touches every place but this one.
"Is there a map or something?"
Eileen asked, hugging her body from the freezing rain drops.
"Damn, I forgot to ask."
Jungkook sighed.
"We can just ask anyone we see."
She offered.
"Do you really think other people live here?"
Jungkook asked, shoving his hands in his pockets.
"Well, Jin did say that his neighbor was an artist. Let's go ask him."
They walked until they reached the doorstep to the painters house. His door was also painted black, just like most the doors I've seen today.
Jungkook knocked on the door, stepping back next to me. We waited for a couple seconds, but no one came to the door.
"Maybe no one's home."
Jungkook assumed, knocking
on the door again. He moved
back when he heard running.
Jungkook peaked inside the glass window, looking inside the vintage home. He noticed the record machine was playing classical music, while the sounds of running were still present.
"Should we l-
"Jungkook.."
I pointed to the man at the window.
His face was covered by a white mask.
"Hello?"
Jungkook waved from outside the house.
As soon as he did so, the man ran towards the door, almost child like.
He opened the door and stood at the frame.
Jungkook gulped, while preparing what to say.
"We moved in with the landlord next door. He said you designed the room."
Jungkook tried to smile.
There was an awkward pause of silence. Eileen looked at Jungkook who swung his hands back in forth, anxiously.
"Want to see my room?!"
The man yelled in an excited way.
"Uhm, sure."
She smiled, walking inside with Jungkook.
"Take off your coats."
He suddenly ran next to them, whispering in their ears.
"Boris won't like it."
He grinned, running into his kitchen.
"Who's Boris?"
Jungkook asked, hanging up his coat. His eyes widened when he saw a tarantula crawl up his left arm.
"Oh my-
He was lost for words when he saw ten of them crawling on the patterned carpet. Eileen quickly put her feet up on the couch, avoiding the spiders.
"I have tea."
He came back into the living room wearing a different outfit. His clothes were vintage, with earrings that touched his shoulders.
"So, are you a fashion designer?"
Eileen asked, grabbing the cup from the tray he carried.
"I'm spontaneous."
He spread his arms out, laughing afterwards.
Jungkook and Eileen playfully laughed along, but it was clear that Jungkook was more uncomfortable than she was.
"Thank you for the hospitality, but I was wondering if you had a map you could lend us. We're just trying to get to know the town better."
Eileen asked what Jungkook was thinking.
The mans eyes widened.
"A map?"
"That's what she said."
Jungkook sternly spoke, getting irritated from his immaturity and childlike behavior.
"I have something better than a map."
He giggled, almost jumping out of his chair.
"W-what?"
She tried to smile, but his oddness was getting to her as well.
"There's one fellow who knows this place better than anyone I know."
He leaned in while speaking.
"Who?"
"I'll give you his address."
He ran over to another room, grabbing a fountain pen.
"Woah, that's so cool."
Eileen smiled, pointing to the fountain pen.
The man got exited, grinning as he enjoyed being complimented on his unique style.
"I haven't seen one of those since the 1800's."
Jungkook joked, flipping the pen in his hand.
"Don't touch it."
He yelled, shocking them both.
"Sorry..?"
Jungkook quickly dropped the fountain pen, raising his hands in surrender.
The man crossed his arms, lowering his head in a pouting motion.
"Okay, were gonna leave now."
Jungkook got up, signaling Eileen to
leave as well. He went to pick up his
coat and he man lifted his head again.
"Your friend is mean."
He whined.
"Jungkook? No, he's just joking, that's all."
Eileen reassured him. He picked up the pen and finished writing the address down.
"Thank you for your help."
She took the paper from his hand and left with Jungkook. He slowly shut the door, and the classical music was turned on as soon as they left.
"What a psycho.."
Jungkook muttered as they walked away from the fading music.
"He's just trying to help."
She jokingly pushed his shoulder.
"Throw that away, we're not talking to anyone that lunatic knows."
He pointed at the paper in her hand.
"This is our only hope. It's getting late."
She looked at him with pleading eyes.
"Fine."
Jungkook agreed.
"But let's at least take some
photos while we're at it."
They both took out their cameras, to turn them on and adjust them.
A bright flash went off and Jungkook frowned.
"That's not fair, I wasn't ready."
"What are you talking about?"
"That picture you just took of me."
He crossed his arms.
"I didn't take a picture of you Jungkook. My camera's dead."
