Aderonke tried hard not to cringe in her husband's embrace when she woke up in the morning. She wriggled herself free of her husband's hold and she stood in front of the window, thinking and wondering how her husband got involved in this mess. Hearing that Bimbo was pregnant before she died broke her heart enough but knowing that the man she married and still loved was keeping secrets from her.

Tears clouded her eyes and they began to fall on her cheeks.

“R–Ronke, w-why are you c-crying?" Wale asked, rubbing his drowsy ey

“N-Nothing."

“A-Are you sure?" Wale tilted his head.

“Yes, I'm sure." she shook her head.

“You know that you can talk to me." Wale continued.

“Of course.....I know that...you are my husband." Aderonke continued.

“If there's anything....."

“I am fine, Adewale." Aderonke snapped.

“If...this is about Bimbo, I am...."

“It's not. I have moved on over that." Aderonke responded.

“Are you sure?" Wale asked.

“Yes." Aderonke smiled briefly.

“Then I'm happy you're making progress." Wale replied as he got up and left for the bathroom.

Aderonke scoffed. Progress? He wanted her to move on over her daughter's death. She felt drained and disappointed.

                               ********

An hour later, Aderonke went downstairs after Wale had left for work to eat. She was about to call Sewa when she heard yelling from outside the house, she hastened her steps and stepped outside.

She saw a angry Abike attacking Uche who was trying to block the gate.

Aderonke shook her head angrily and walked towards them.

“Who is that dog that is barking so early in the morning?" Aderonke yelled.

Abike turned,“You are the dog, Ronke. You are a demon. Because you lost your daughter, you made me lose mine. You are wicked."

“It's not my fault that you had a miscarriage so stop accusing of what I did not do." Aderonke shrugged.

“Are you even listening to yourself? You are so insensitive. So so selfish. You caused it."

“Me? Insensitive? Then what are you? I lost my daughter and you told me...that I'm not the first to lose a child neither would I be the last." Aderonke replied.

“Madam....please leave." Uche cried.

“I am going to sue you, Aderonke. I will sue you for this. You will not rest. I won't allow you to go scot free." Abike ranted.

“Go and sue me. I don't care. What I care most about is that you leave now before I do what you'll hate." Aderonke hissed.

“Do what? Do your worst then." Abike retorted.

“Ehehn?" Aderonke shot up a brow.

“Yes, do your worst." Abike said.

Aderonke made a sorry face and turned around and started screaming, “Randy, Olso. I have a juicy meal for you "

“See this mad woman? Who are you calling?" Abike held out her hand.

“My dogs na. They are always eating bones and this is a great opportunity for them to eat meat. You are fleshy everywhere so you are enough for them." Aderonke replied.

“Are you in your right senses at all? You are calling me dog food?" Abike shouted.

“As a matter...of fact, I'm not in my right senses at all so you better start running before they pounce on you and shred you to pieces." Aderonke warned.

Abike began walking backwards and snapping her fingers, “I'm coming back and I will bring my lawyer with me....just wait. I am coming for you."

“Better watch your steps before you fall down." Aderonke mocked.

“Stupid woman." Abike hissed, she left after giving a heavy knock on Uche's head.

Uche knelt down on his knees like a dinner seeking repentance and began to run both palms together.

“Madam, honestly....I don't know how she entered....I swear to Almighty God, Allah and Sango." Uche pleaded.

“How many do you serve? Are you a Christian, Muslim or Traditional worshiper? Anyways that's not my concern. How did she enter the house?" Aderonke yelled.

“You see, ma....I was bathing and I think the gate was unlocked...I had no idea ma.... please forgive me. The Bible says......"

“Spare me that. Don't dare quote Bible verse for me. I won't say anything but your day of reckoning is coming." Aderonke hissed and walked into the house.

Aderonke walked upstairs angrily to her room, angrily. She was about to turn towards her room when she heard rustling sounds from Bimbo's room.

Could it be a that a big fat eat was residing there?

She walked slowly and catiously towards Bimbo's room. She gulped and stepped into the room.

Her mouth flew open on noticing that it was Sewa. Sewa's head was dipped inside Bimbo's wardrobe as if she was searching for something missing.

“What...are you looking for?" Aderonke found her voice.

Sewa froze.

                                 ******

Sewa retreated slowly from the wardrobe with a couple of clothes in her arms.

“It's not like that....ma. I just wanted to wash them." Sewa pleaded.

“What do you mean? Did I send you work?" Aderonke retorted.

“I...am so so...." Sewa did not get to finish her statement as Aderonke yanked the clothes off her hands. Aderonke was about to hurl insults at her when she noticed something strange.

“What...is this?" Aderonke muttered as she scanned the clothes she was holding.

These weren't Bimbo's clothes.

It looked like Wale's clothes.

“What...are this clothes doing there? Can't you answer me? What are my husband's clothes doing here?" Aderonke barked, holding the clothes out.

“Ma....you see. How will I explain now?" Sewa grumbled.

“You better explain fast... before I throw a dirty slap at your face." Aderonke shouted.

“Ma....I was looking for oga's clothes." Sewa cowered in fear.

“Why and how did you know it was here?" Aderonke asked.

“Ma, it's because you are... always travelling. Oga sleeps here everytime in the night." Sewa confessed.

Aderonke's brows twitched in confusion.

“And so?"

“And everytime, Bimbo....is always screaming in the night...I don't know whether oga is beating her or playing with her. I don't know ma." Sewa shook her head furiously.

Aderonke tried not to let the tears fall. Sewa's statement meant something, something trivial. Something important.

“Get out of here." Aderonke screamed.

“Yes ma." and Sewa scampered away.

Aderonke fell on the floor clutching her husband's clothes to herself. She looked erratically at her surroundings with one question blazing in her head.

Was Wale having sex with Bimbo?
