“Mika, I need to speak to you!” dad called from the kitchen.

“Coming dad!” I called back. “Come one Halia”

My ninkin barked as she followed me to the kitchen.

Dad was cooking dinner when I walked in.

“Yeah dad?” I asked.

“Sit down” dad said as he indicated to one of the stools.

I sat down and frowned at dad.

“What is it?” I asked curious and worried.

“I don’t know who to say this, but we’re moving” dad said.

I froze.

“…What?” I asked.

“We are moving from the Rock to the Leaf. It’s already been decided so you can’t change my mind” dad said.

“What about me? What if I don’t want to go?” I asked standing up.

“Your coming Mika. Even if I have to carry you the whole way” dad said as he set the knife down.

“What am I going to tell my friends? My sensei? My TEAM? My boyfriend?” I asked.

“Your sensei knows. Start packing now. We leave not tomorrow but the next day. You have tomorrow to say goodbye to your friends and to finish packing” dad said as he went back to cooking.

“I hate you” I said before I stormed out of the kitchen and stalked to my room.

I slammed the door shut and sat on my bed.

Halia whined and jumped up onto my bed.

“Why is he doing this girl? Does he hate me?” I asked as I patted Halia’s head.

Halia whined again and my wall broke.

I broke down crying.

Halia barked and I looked at her.

I got of my bed and scrambled to my desk.

I unlocked the bottom draw and pulled out two headbands.

Both belonging to the leaf.

“Maybe there is something in the leaf. Dad was, after all, from there. Maybe mum was too” I said.

Halia head butted my shoulder.

I looked to her and she nodded.

“Fine then. But I still hate dad for making me do this” I said standing up.

Halia whined and I rolled my eyes as I walked over to my closet.

“This will be fun” I muttered sarcastically as I looked at all my clothes.

NEXT DAY

I was silent as Halia walked up to the team.

“You’re so quiet Halia. I don’t like it” Hiro said as I slid of Halia.

“I have something to tell you guys” I said looking at Hiro and Daichi.

“What is it?” Daichi asked frowning.

Aki sensei looked sad.

“I found out last night that I’m moving. To the LeafVillage” I said looking between my teammates.

“You can’t leave! I still haven’t made chunin!” Hiro said.

“And I wish I could be here to see you become one, but my dad is set with the idea. He already told me I have no hope of changing his mind. I leave tomorrow” I said.

Hiro shook his head, tears threatening to spill.

“Don’t cry Hiro or you’ll get me crying” I said as I hugged him.

“Please don’t go. I need my best friend” Hiro whispered.

“We’ll write to each other. We can visit all the time” I said.

“But it won’t be the same” Hiro said as we pulled back.

“I know but it’s the best I can think of at the moment. Take care of your little sister and tell her goodbye for me. Same goes with your parents” I said.

Hiro nodded and quickly wiped away a tear.

“It will be different without you on the team” Aki sensei said.

“I am awesome and the pride of this team” I joked.

Aki sensei smiled at me.

“Hope to see you soon” Aki sensei said.

I nodded before turning to Daichi.

I bit my lip waiting for him to say something.

“We’ll leave you two alone” Aki sensei said before he ushered Hiro away.

“I wish I could go with you” Daichi said as he hugged me.

“You need to stay here and keep Hiro in line. I’m going to miss you so much” I said as I closed my eyes.

“Promise me you’ll come back” Daichi said.

“Of course I’ll come back. Promise” I said.

Daichi pulled back and kissed me.

“We’ll write all the time. I must go find Ai and Sophie” I said as we pulled back.

“I’ll be there to see you off” Daichi said.

I nodded before I walked over to Halia and got on.

“To Ai” I said.

Halia whined as she set off.

Ai and Sophie’s teams were together.

“MIKA!” Ai said as she ran over.

“Hey Ai” I said as I wiped a tear away.

“Daichi didn’t break up with did he?” Sophie asked as Ai, Halia and I walked over to the teams.

“No, he didn’t” I said as I got to my feet.

“Then what is it?” Ryuu asked confused.

“I’m moving to the leaf. I just told my team” I said.

“The leaf? But that’s days away” Sophie said sad.

“I can’t change dads mind. He told me yesterday. I leave tomorrow” I said.

“You can’t go! We need to celebrate your 16th birthday!” Ai said.

“I’ll come and visit so you can throw the party. I know you and Sophie have been planning all year” I said.

Ai nodded as she hugged me.

“We’ll be there when you leave. Promise” Sophie said as we hugged.

“Ok. I have to go finish packing. Have fun without me. Just not too much fun” I said as I got on Halia.

My friends nodded and Halia ran home.

“I hope you’re happy” I said to dad as I passed.

NEXT DAY

I cried as I hugged Daichi.

“We need to go Mika” dad said.

I pulled back from Daichi and kissed him.

“Stay safe” Daichi whispered.

I nodded before I hugged Ai and Sophie.

“You better make friends. But none as awesome as us” Ai said as we pulled back.

“Ok” I said with a laugh.

I hugged Hiro and then Aki sensei.

“Good luck” Aki sensei said.

I nodded before walking over to dad.

I waved to my friends before I started walking.

“Don’t worry Mika. You’ll see them again” dad said.

“I know I will” I said.

Dad sighed.

AT THE LEAF

“Go ahead on through” the gate ninja said.

Dad nodded and led me through a lot of streets.

We got a few stares but I ignored them.

Dad led me to a house.

I was a little confused at the smile on dads face as he knocked on the door.

“I’m coming!” a female voice yelled.

A few seconds later the door opened.

“Kiba?” a female adult, older looking than dad, asked shocked.

Dad nodded.

The lady pulled dad in for a hug.

“I’m happy your back” she said with her eyes closed.

She opened them and saw me.

“Is this Mika?” the lady asked as she let dad go.

“Yeah. Mika, this is your Aunt Hana” dad said.

“I’m Mika” I said.

“Hana. I remember when you were just a few weeks old” Hana said.

I nodded an uncertain smile on my face.

“Come on in. Mum’s watching T.V” Aunt Hana said.

Dad let me go first.

I followed behind Halia.

“Who is it?” a ruff female voice from a lounge room.

When I walked I stopped and blinked.

Sitting in a chair is what I would call a some what version of my dad.

“Mutt?” the lady said as dad walked in.

“Hi mum” dad said a little awkward.

“YOU LEAVE WITHOUT TELLING ANYONE AND YOU COME BACK WITH A ‘HI MUM’?” the lady screeched.

“You are just like dad” I accidently said out loud.

Everyone turned to me.

“What?” Aunt Hana asked confused.

“When ever I would go out with friends or my boyfriend without letting dad or Akamaru know, dad yells at me when I get home. Just like she did” I said pointing to the lady.

Aunt Hana cracked up laughing.

“I told you!” she gasped as she pointed at dad.

“You must be my granddaughter. Same you look like your father. I’m Tsume” the lady said.

“Mika” I said a little confused.

Grandma Tsume shook my hand.

“Is this your ninkin?” Grandma Tsume asked spotting Halia.

“Yeah. Her name’s Halia” I said.

“Oh Kiba! You gotta go see the Hokage to become a leaf ninja again” Aunt Hana said randomly.

“Oh yeah. Come on Mika. Let’s see if I can talk the Hokage into letting you become a chunin” dad said.

“I’m already a chunin so you don’t need to talk the Hokage into letting me become one” I said.

“Just come on. Mum, Mika and I are staying here until we find a place of our own” dad said before he grabbed my hand and pulled me out of the house.

Halia and Akamaru were right behind us.

I heard Grandma Tsume mutter unintelligent things.

Dad let go of my hand and led me to a big red building.

There were a lot of stairs.

Dad knocked on the door and a male voice bid us entry.

Dad walked in first.

There was a man behind a desk, a man standing on the other side with two boys.

Everyone turned to look at us.

“Kiba? The man standing up gasped.

“Hey Naruto, Hey Shikamaru” dad said casually as we walked up.

“It’s been a while Kiba” the man behind the desk grinned.

“It sure is good to be back in the leaf” dad said.

“I knew it” I muttered.

“What was that?” dad asked.

Everyone’s attention was now on me.

“I knew you had lived in the leaf before” I said louder.

“And how did you figure out that?” dad asked a little angry but mostly curious.

“I found these” I said as I pulled out the two leaf headbands.

Dad’s eyes went wide and he snatched them off me.

“Where did you get these?” he asked angry.

“I found them in the shed. I went out looking for something and I saw them. One smelt like you so I figured you must have lived here” I said.

Dad looked at me before turning back to the man behind the desk.

He then sent a sideway glance at the other three males in the room.

“What’s going on here?” dad asked.

“One of Shikamaru’s students quit being a ninja. Her parents didn’t like it and made her. They need a new teammate” desk man said.

“Mika’s a ninja. She could be on the team” dad said pointing to me.

Desk man thought about it.

“Mika, what rank are you?” he asked.

“Chunin” I replied.

“Oh Mika, this is Naruto Uzumaki, Leaf Village Hokage” dad said.

I nodded.

You’ve got a new student Shikamaru. Here is your leaf headband Mika” Lord Hokage said handing me a headband.

“Thanks” I said.

I tied it around my neck because my rock headband was on my forehead.

“You can take her now Shikamaru. I got to go visit everyone else” dad said.

“Gee thanks dad” I said sarcastically.

Dad smiled at me, ruffled my hair and left.

I growled as I fixed my hair.

“Let’s go” Shikamaru sensei said before walking out.

I followed the boys out.

I was led to a clearing.

“I know we did this when we first became a team but Mika is new. Tell her who you are and something about yourself. Mika, when they are done, you do it” Shikamaru sensei said.

I nodded.

“I’m Minato Uzumaki! I LOVE ramen and pulling pranks!” the blonde one said excited.

“Hi…” I said a little creeped out.

“My name is Itachi Uchiha. I like to train with my father to become stronger” the guy who looked like an ass said.

“Ass” I muttered.

Halia snickered.

“Mika…” Shikamaru sensei warned.

“You’re as bad as my dad” I said.

“Just go” Shikamaru sensei sighed.

“Fine. I’m Mika Inuzuka. I am very blunt” I said simply.

Halia barked.

“Right. This is Halia and if you insult me she will rip your arm off” I said.

“Very blunt…” Shikamaru sensei mumbled giving me a strange look.

“Yes?” I asked.

“Team, today I want to test your combat skills” Shikamaru sensei instructed.

“But sensei…! We did that weeks ago!” Minato complained.

“I want to assess Mika’s skills Minato. Itachi can spar with Mika. You can just watch” Shikamaru sensei said.

“I don’t fight girls” Itachi said.

“Scared you’re going to lose?” I asked with a smirk.

Itachi glared at me.

“Just do it Itachi” Shikamaru sensei said.

“Whatever” Itachi said before he walked a few feet away.

He got into a fighting stance.

Shikamaru sensei and Minato backed away as Halia stood next to me.

“Ladies first” I said as I bowed slightly.

Itachi growled before running at me.

He pulled out a kunai and threw it at me.

I noticed his eyes had changed as I blocked the kunai with my own.

“Halia!” I called.

Halia barked and launched herself at Itachi.

She got Itachi’s arm in her jaw.

I smirked and ran forward.

Pulling out a paralyzation tag, I stuck it on Itachi’s back while he fought to get Halia off.

“Retreat!” I yelled.

Halia let go and ran to my side.

Itachi glared at Halia with hatred.

“Seems like you’ve made an enemy” I told Halia.

She barked and I grinned.

I ducked and the shuriken flew over my head.

Something collided with my back and I went shooting toward a tree.

I was going to fast to move so I hit it full force.

I heard something crack but I ignored it for now.

“You…ass” I snarled as I stood up.

My left arm was on fire.

I ran forward but Halia stopped me.

“Mika, I think you’ve dislocated your left arm” Shikamaru sensei said as he walked over.

He picked my arm up carefully and I bit my lip to stop from crying out in pain.

I tasted blood in my mouth.

“Come on. Let’s get that healed” Shikamaru sensei said.

“Halia?” I asked.

Halia came to my side and I got on her.

I glared at Itachi the whole way to where we were going.

“Mum, mum, mum! Big brothers home with a girl!” some yelled.

“He also is with his sensei and his teammate Kayo” a female voice said.

I looked up to see a pinked haired women with a male in her arms.

The male looked like Itachi.

A female version was standing next to the little boy in, who I’m guessing, his mother’s arms.

“Who’s this Shikamaru?” the women asked.

“MIKA?” I heard dad yell.

I heard him running.

“What happened?” dad asked frantically.

“I’m fine dad” I said.

Dad gave me a look and poked my left arm.

I almost shrieked.

“Don’t do that!” I yelled as Halia stepped away from dad.

The women rushed forward.

“What hurts?” she asked.

“My whole left arm does” I said.

“I’m going to heal it, ok?” he women said.

I nodded.

“What happened?” dad repeated.

“Why don’t you ask the Uchiha ass over there” I spat.

“Itachi, what did you do?” another male adult voice asked.

An older version of Itachi came into my view.

“I told her I don’t fight girls” Itachi said.

“Sexist much?” I said disgusted.

“What are you talking about?” Itachi snapped.

“It’s obvious. You think you are the strongest person on the team. You think girls are weak. That reminds me. Activate!” I said.

I made the one handed ram sign.

The tag on Itachi activated and his body froze.

Itachi fell to the ground because his body couldn’t support him.

“Mika!” dad said sternly.

“Your arm is all healed” the lady said.

“Thanks” I said as I rolled my left shoulder.

The little boy, who I’m guessing is Kayo, poked Itachi and giggled.

The girl rolled her eyes and crossed her arms.

“You deserve it Itachi” she mumbled.

I looked at her.

“Yes?” she asked.

“I like you” I said.

“Should I feel special?” she asked.

“I don’t like many people and I am incredibly fun to hang with” I said with a smirk.

The girl smirked as well.

“Nao Uchiha. Itachi’s older sister” the girl said holding her hand out.

“Mika Inuzuka. Sadly, Itachi’s new teammate” I said as I shook her hand.

“Be nice Mika” dad warned.

“I am. I just made a friend. Happy?” I asked a little annoyed.

Dad sighed.

“We’re not going back” dad told me.

“I’m going back for my 16th birthday. Ai and Sophie have been planning my party all year” I said.

“No; you’re not Mika” dad said.

“Whatever. I do not want to talk about this now.” I said.

I turned to Shikamaru sensei.

“Can I leave?” I asked.

“Shouldn’t you ask your dad?” Shikamaru sensei said confused.

“I meant training. You’re my sensei. Can I leave?” I asked,

“Yeah. We’re done for the day” Shikamaru sensei said.

“Thank you. I’ll be back fro dinner” I said to dad before I walked away with Halia.

THIRD’S POV

Kiba sighed as Mika walked away.

“Kiba?” Sakura asked.

“It’s been a while Sakura” Kiba grinned.

Sakura smiled and hugged the Inuzuka male.

“Nao, take your brothers inside” Sasuke said.

Nao sighed but she did anyway.

“You’re free to go Minato” Shikamaru said.

The blonde nodded and left.

“Not happy about the move?” Sasuke guessed.

“Yeah. I did spring it on her last minute though. I fell kind of bad. But it’s what her mother said to do” Kiba said.

“When was the last time you heard from her?” Shikamaru asked Kiba.

“Two years after she left. I worry but, Mika’s mother is strong. Just like Mika” Kiba said.

“Does Mika know?” Sakura asked.

“No. I don’t mention her mother and I haven’t told her anything. She knows nothing about her mother” Kiba said.

“Are you going to tell her?” Sasuke asked.

“I was going to wait until her mother came back so she could help me explain” Kiba admitted.

“Mika won’t be happy” Sakura said.

“I know. But that’s what her mother told me to do. I will not screw it up” Kiba sighed.
