"Eunhi, I-
I have superpowers."
The voice rang in her head as she suddenly woke up, sweating.
This wasn't a dream.
This has happened.
Last night...
She saw that in her dream too. Her fiancè, Ji Hoon has some sort of superpowers, which she wasn't known to till now.
"I- what do I do?" She scratched her head. Wiping off the drops of sweat from her forehead, she stood up and started walking here and there.
She didn't knew what she should do. He told her to promise him, that she won't tell this to anyone, not even her father or Yoongi. And she was terrified, yet she made this promise that she won't tell anyone.
Last night, when they got attacked, her father reached at the spot near the forest as soon as he got informed. Ji Hoon simply told him that they probably attacked them because they seemed to rob them, nothing much.
They arrested the goons, but that was still haunting Eunhi. This didn't seemed real. Ji Hoon had powers. She could have denied, but that happened in front of her eyes and now, she knows that he isn't lying.
If he has superpowers, that means he surely has enemies. And if he has enemies, that means Eunhi isn't safe with him.
But what can she do now?
He told her that he will protect her at any cost, but that still creeped her out. It wasn't that she had known Ji Hoon for too long, she just met him yesterday for the first time and such a tragedy occurred. Damn.
"I have to leave tomorrow. But, I can't even sleep. What should I do?" She looked at her sweaty palms. It wasn't even hot anymore but she was burning.
She laid in her bed again, and closed her eyes in an attempt to fall asleep. After a few minutes, she was finally able to sleep, but not for too long. It was already 3 in the morning. And she has to get up at 6.
--------
"Eunhi? Wake up! It's already 6!" Someone shouted and Eunhi slowly opened her eyes.
"Okay dad. I'm up." She said and sat straight, rubbing her eyes.
"It doesn't even feel like I had slept" she mumbled.
Getting up, she stretched her arms and looked out of the window. It was still dark. The weather wasn't good enough.
She went to the washroom to fresh up. After a good bath, she had put in a turtle neck, because it was really cold in the morning. And jeans, of course.
"Come. Breakfast is ready." Her dad smiled as he sat at the dining table, with a cup of coffee in his hand.
She sat next to him and started eating.
"Everything's okay?" He glanced at her. "Yes" she nodded.
"Flight is at 8. Hope you have packed everything?"
"Yes, I have."
"Eunhi, are you really alright? I think you are terrified after what happened last-"
"No dad. That was just our bad luck. And it happens. It's okay and I'm alright. Don't worry." She flashed a smile at him and he nodded.
"I wasn't meant to send you alone. If Yoongi was her-" he suddenly cleared his throat. "I mean.. I would've sent someone with you. I have an urgent meeting today. So..."
"It's okay dad. If I won't go alone somewhere, how would I be able to travel alone in such case?" She stated while sipping on her coffee.
"You're my brave girl." He smiled and patted her shoulder.
She chuckled and got up. "I know dad. Don't worry. I'll take care of myself very well."
Then she took out her luggage and walked out.
"Finally, I'll have some freedom." She said to herself. She looked at her hand and said," oh no, my ring!"
Sprinting inside, she went to her bedroom and picked up the ring from the table.
"I almost forgot.. I'm taken." She looked down and wore the ring.
Finally, reaching downstairs, she looked around and said, "I'll miss my home."
"And your dad?" Someone chuckled behind her.
"I'll miss you even more." She hugged him and he kissed her forehead. "Me too."
He helped her putting all the luggage in the trunk. As she sat inside, her dad glanced at his wristwatch, "I'll come with you to the airport. I have much time."
He sat at the passenger seat and Eunhi sat on the back seat. He told the driver to drive and Eunhi looked out of the window.
Promptly, she spotted someone at a distance. With a black cap and a white mask. It didn't took her long to recognise that it was...
Yoongi.
He waved at her and she hollered at the driver to stop. Quickly jumping out of the car, she ran in the direction where her brother was standing. Her dad kept sitting in the car as he smiled when he saw Yoongi, in quite good condition.
Yoongi glanced at his father too and he bowed politely. Spreading his arms, he embraced Eunhi with a big, tight hug.
"Oppa!" She snuggled into his chest as he hugged her. "Eunhi.. I'm here to wish you luck."
"I missed you." She said, a tear rolling down her cheek. "Me too. But don't cry. We'll meet soon." He wiped her tears with his thumb.
"Study hard and enjoy. It's the golden time in one's life so don't waste your time. Have fun." He smiled, gums showing.
"Yes, I will. But if you get time, please come to meet me there." She sniffed. "I will, surely."
"Okay Eunhi. You'll get late. Go now." Yoongi patted her shoulder. "I love you." He added.
"I love you too oppa." She smiled and waved at him as she sat in the car again.
Stuffing his hands in his pocket, Yoongi smiled at her. His dad nodded. "Take care!" He shouted and Eunhi giggled. "Yes! Bye bye!"
------
After reaching the airport, she looked around. Her dad helped her and told her how to book the tickets for the flight. She understood well because she knew, when she'll come back, she will be alone and has to do everything on her own.
After everything was done, she finally hugged her father for the last time.
"Take care are study hard. Fighting!" He chuckled.
"Yes dad. I'll miss you. Take care too." She smiled.
"Me too Eunhi. Call me when you reach there." He said and she nodded. "Bye!" They both exclaimed to each other.
Her dad kept staring until she disappeared in the crowd. He sighed and turned back on his heels to head to his meeting.
------
"Seat no. 87" she told the air hostess.
"There you go mam, that is seat no. 87." She pointed at a window seat where there was apparently no one.
"Okay, thank you." She muttered.
Carrying her bag on her shoulder, she pushed through the crowd to get to her seat.
"Excuse me... excuse me please give me some way..."
Finally reaching the seat, Eunhi settled down and sighed.
"This was just the beginning and yet it felt too difficult..how am I going to manage there?" She thought.
Glancing out of the window, she smiled as she saw how high she was. The plane was about to take off, and the air hostesses were giving instructions on what to do during an emergency, and how to wear the belt and oxygen mask.
Eunhi understood everything and putting on her belt, she checked out the magazines in the side of her seat.
"The plane is about to take off. Everyone please sit down." One of the air hostess announced. "And please switch off your mobile phone for some time."
Eunhi did as she was told. Switching her phone off, she put the phone in her bag and stared out of the window in amusement, like a little child.
As she felt the plane finally moving, her heart did a little jump. She closed her eyes and waited for the plane to fly, so that when she opens her eyes, she would find herself in the clouds.
The plane started floating in the air swiftly, and it was when Eunhi slowly opened her eyes to peek out of the window.
As she did, she was stunned.
The sun shone bright in front of her eyes. She was above the clowds and the buildings seemed to be so tiny, slowly disappearing beneath the clowds.
She awed and smiled as she saw down. "Finally, I'm travelling alone." She said to herself and an elderly woman sitting beside her chuckled.
"You're travelling alone for the first time?" She questioned.
"Yes.. and it's exciting." She smiled.
"Me too. I used to travel with my son. But he is married now, so I have to travel alone." She told her.
Eunhi had found a good company with her. They both kept talking and Eunhi felt comfortable with her. They chatted about various things and the woman told her about herself and her family. She seemed to be such a sweet lady.
Eunhi also chimed with her as she thought that she's doing a good companion for the journey.
After a while, the woman fell asleep and Eunhi smiled. "She must be tired."
She looked out of the window again. Thinking about her upcoming life in Busan, she smiled and said to herself,
"You can do it, Eunhi!"
