Chapter 7

Pushing the door open, she was welcomed by someone greeting her "good evening." It was the owner of the cafe. She bowed to him.

Looking around for a good seat, she walked through the passage, where there were coffee tables and chairs on both sides.

There were some couples sitting there, all lovey-dovey. They were holding hands and Eunhi glanced at them, who were talking lovingly while sipping coffee.

She walked to the end, and sat at the seat at the furthermore corner. The heater inside the shop made hee feel warm, so she took off her coat and put it aside. She stared at the clock, which was now showing six-thirty. She wondered where her fiancè is.

She had never came to a cafe alone, she went to some cafe's with Yoongi or her dad, probably three or four times. She looked around awkwardly, all she could see were four-five couples, and the waiters serving them.

She started scrolling through her phone. It was being late. She has to leave tomorrow. Has to get up too early. She yawned as she stared outside the window.

"Why is he taking so long?" She said to herself. "Did he forgot? But dad had already told hi-" she was just wondering when she heard the ringing of the bell, signalling someone has entered the shop.

She looked up and saw a man, wearing a black shirt and jeans, and was wearing a hat. His face was hidden beneath the big-sized hat, so she couldn't see him.

He observed inside the shop, eyes looking for someone. He looked at the back and waved at Eunhi. She stiffened and sat straight, slightly waving back at him.

As he walked through the passage, the girls started staring at him, intensely.

The tattoo on his hand caught Eunhi's attention, which she hadn't seen before. As he wore a t-shirt, the tattoo was visible. It was starting from his elbow, going down his wrist, covered half of his hand.

Some girls focused on his height, he was really tall. Atleast 20 cm taller than Eunhi herself. Guys glanced at him too, and were amused how they would look short beside him.

As he walked to her, she felt her adrenaline pumping faster, and her heart started racing. He took a look at the seat and sat on the front seat, facing Eunhi.

"Hi" he said.

"Uh, hello." Eunhi managed to say.

"I'm a bit late, sorry." He continued. "I was busy with some personal work, hope you won't mind."

"No, it's okay." She nodded, not looking into his eyes, but on the table.

"So, should we order something?" He asked. "Yeah.. whatever you like." She replied.

"Would you like a cappuccino?" He gazed at her. "Yeah", she said, now looking at him.

The waiter came to take their order, and after ordering, they both sat stiffened. Both didn't knew how to start a conversation. The atmosphere started becoming awkward.

Eunhi was nervous. She bit her lower lip, and started to look around. She was hoping that Ji Hoon would start the conversation, but he was himself feeling nervous.

He fixed his gaze at Eunhi. When she didn't had the courage to look at him, he caught her sight as she sat there awkwardly. He admired that she is actually beautiful.

He stared at her dark brown eyes, and her soft tender lips, which formed a small pout and he found it adorable. Her chubby face, and her long brown hair, made him undergo some kind of strange feeling.

"Uhm" he cleared his throat, coming out of his imagination. "It's awkward, I know." He chuckled. "But, we've met so it shouldn't be awkward.. I guess."

"Y- yeah. But we didn't met like this. I don't know how to start a conversation. I'm just nervous." Eunhi responded.

"It's okay" He smiled. "But where are you looking?" He laughed and Eunhi turned to finally look into his eyes.

His black eyes looked so fascinating. They both looked into each other's eyes for some time, but then she looked away again, slightly blushing.

"I- I can't make an eye contact with strangers." She stuttered, cheeks flushing red.

"Stranger?" He raised a brow. "How am I a stranger?"

"Well, because I still don't know you. That's why. We're still strangers to each other. Don't you think?" She said.

"Uh, so we should get to know each other. Right?" He looked at her, and she nodded. "Yeah, of course."

"So I heard you're leaving tomorrow?" He asked.

"Yes."

"You're going to Busan?"

"Yes."

"Okay, have you done all the preparations?" He asked.

"Yes, almost. Some things that are left, I can buy them there." She stated.

"Oh, well that's great. Hope you have an amazing time there." He smiled.

"Thank you. I will be going for atleast one and a half year. The course is short." She told him.

"That's good. Are you... going to live alone there?" He cocked a brow.

"Of course. I'll be living in a hostel." She said.

"Hmm.."

The waiter brought their drinks. Eunhi smiled as she saw the hot cup of coffee. It was cold and she was craving for it for a long time.

"Uh so-" Ji Hoon said but suddenly stopped, as Eunhi picked up the cup and she blowed at it, and putting her lips at the edge of the cup, she slightly started sipping.

Ji Hoon chuckled. Eunhi blushed as she realised that it was too quick. "Oh, I- I'm sorry.." she whispered and placed the cup back in the saucer.

"No no. Continue. It was adorable." He said as he placed his chin between his hands, staring at her and smiling.

"Adorable?" She gaped at him.

"Yes. I'll have mine too." He said amd picked up his cup. "Cheers" he said, bringing it close to Eunhi's. She blushed and picked up her cup too. "Cheers."

They started becoming comfortable with each other. They talked about various things, about families, likes-dislikes, hobbies etc.

While drinking, Eunhi suddenly remembered something. She laid her eyes on Ji Hoon, "may I ask something?"

"Yeah" he replied while putting the cup back.

"At that day, when we first met, what were you doing in the bushes?" She questioned.

His eyes suddenly widened. He looked here and there. "I- I was just... talking to someone on phone."

"Are bushes a good place to talk to someone?" She jokingly asked.

"It was important." He said with a serious look on his face. "It was dangerous and I didn't wanted anyone to hear."

"Da- dangerous? What do you mean?!" She stammered, amazed by his response.

He chuckled. "It was an important business call. It was confidential so..."

"Okay, I got it." Eunhi's lips formed a thin line, as she finished her coffee and put it back in the saucer.

"And about that..when you saved me from that accident..how did you do it?" Now there were so many questions rising in her mind.

"I just saved you. I don't know how. Aren't you just thankful that I saved your life?" He said aggressively.

"Yeah I'm thankful but-"

"Can we not talk about that.. please?" Ji Hoon raised a brow.

"But why? I want to know. I know you're hiding something from me." She gazed at him.

"It is personal. I can't tell you. But I promise, I am not a bad guy." He said, looking into her eyes.

"Huh?"

He stood up and went to the counter to pay, leaving Eunhi sitting back in amusement.

"What does he mean?" She muttered.

He came back after paying, and called Eunhi. She stood up and wore her coat back.

"Should I drop you home?" He asked her.

"Uhm, but I told my driver.." she said but he interrupted, "it's my responsibility. We'll get some more time together. Right?"

"Okay as you say." She picked up her bag and they exited the coffee shop, and stepped in the cold atmosphere outside.
