There was a knock at the door

Without looking out I shouted who is it

I wasn't expecting anyone at all

Certainly not the to voice that I heard

Two years

Not a word

Now without a call

Knocking at my door

If only I hadn't asked "Who is it"...

I opened the door

Not only had he not called first he had brought someone with him

As awkward as it was I talked to him through the security door

I justified not letting em in by saying that it was late

I suggested that he maybe call before driving all the way out next time

It will probably be even longer before I hear from him again

The people with keys to my house call before they come

So how can someone without a key expect to get in without calling
