Chapter 4
Previously on Chapter 3
I smile at her and grab my backpack. I make my way out of the house. Hopefully, I'll be able to save Will and help the others. They will be in a lot of trouble. With those bad people around.
-Guarding Mission-
Y/N P.O.V
I keep following the group. They're following a compass. Smart move. They've figured out how to find the gate. But it's going to be very dangerous for them if they ever make it to the gate. So I have to keep an eye on them, to make sure they stay out of trouble.
I watch as the girl keeps on wiping her nose, letting me know that she's using her power to divert the boys' direction. She's doing the right thing. But if the boys' find out, they're going to be very angry at her.
I'm too far to hear what they're talking about. But I can see the curly haired boy seem to realize that they are circling back home. I can see them arguing with one another, which leads to one of them getting sent flying into the bus and fall onto the ground.
He's not moving an inch, letting me know he's hurt from the impact. I'm sure it's the girl's doing. I still can't put a finger on who she is. But I do know that he's also from the bad place, the same place I have been trying to escape a few years ago. The other two boys' rush to him. They desperately trying to get the unconscious boy to wake up.
I outstretch my hand, focusing on the boy. I feel my blood dripping down my nose, as I focus on healing the boy. The boy slowly regain consciousness. I wipe the blood from my nose. I watch as the boy storms off from the place.
I start to sway a little as I fall on my knees. It's been a while since I used any of my powers, I forgot how draining it was. I move to sit down under a tree. I lean my back against the tree, trying to regain my strength.

I wake up a while later, still in the same spot. I get up and dust my pants, trying to get rid of the fallen leaves. Once I make sure I'm clean enough, I decide to walk around for a bit. The boys' probably head home.
I wonder where the girl went, remembering how she ran off. Hopefully, she'll be alright. If she's from that place too... why can't I remember anything about her? Maybe because it's been a while since I've been in that place.
I make my way home. I enter the house. "Mom, I'm home..." I said, drowsily. I hear footsteps and my mom walk towards me. She wraps her arms around me.
"Oh, thank God you're okay!" She said. I just lean my weight on her. "What happened? Are you hurt?" She said. I shake my head. "No... I'm exhausted. It's been a while since I used any of my powers..." I said. She lets out a hum. "Go and get some rest then... off you go" she said, shooing me to my room. I just nod my head and turn around. I walk upstairs to my room.
I throw myself onto the bed and lay down. I stare at the wall for a couple of seconds. I close my eyes and slowly drift off to sleep.
Dream
I open my eyes and realize I'm back at the darker version of Hawkins. I rush towards the makeshift fort. I need to make sure Will is okay.
"Will?" I called out. He's laying on the makeshift bed, shivering. I kneel down next to him and make a fire in my hand. He looks sick. So I place my hand on his cheek, willing my power to heal him.
He opens his eyes and looks at me. "You came back" he said. "I promised I would, didn't I... your friends are so worried about you, Will. You have to hang on" I said. He just nods his head and closes his eyes again.
End of Dreams
I slowly open my eyes and sit up on my bed. I lift my hand and wipe the blood that drips from my nose. I let out a sigh. The boys' are going no where. If they want to save their friends, they have to do it faster. It won't be long until the shadow monster decided they want to hurt Will.
I can't do much for now. I barely have any energy left in my body. I have to rest for a bit, before I can help them any further. I decided to take a walk for a bit. I need some fresh air.
"Mom?" I called out. "In here, honey" she said. Her voice comes from the kitchen. I make my way there. She turns to look at me as I enter the kitchen. "I'm going to go for a walk, mom..." I said. "Okay. Be sure to come home before dinner, okay?" She said. I nod my head and kiss her cheek. I turn around and make my way out of the house.
'I wonder where I should go to...' I thought to myself. Maybe I can go to the Quarry. I've never been there, I heard that's where they find Will's 'body.' Which I know for a fact that it's fake. The real Will is stuck in the darker version of Hawkins.

I finally reach there. I can see 4 boys there. I watch from the distance. It's Troy and James, along with the two boys. I let out a sigh, knowing they bullies are trying to mess with them again.
I watch from a far. Troy seem to be urging one of them to jump off the cliff. He's going to die if he fall from that height. But he didn't seem to have a choice because Troy have a knife pointed at his friend. This makes my blood boils in anger. Why did he keep on bothering them.
The boy jumps off the cliff. I rush out to help, but as I look over I see the boy floating. This lets me know that the girl is somewhere nearby. I turn my head to see her walking towards them.
"Are you out of your mind, Troy?!" I said. They turn to look at me. The girl finally reached us. She tilt her head and a loud snap can be heard. "My arm!! She broke my arm!" Troy wailed. "Leave... now" I said, to James who's just standing there. He turns around and runs off.
The girl falls to the ground. I rush to her side and kneels down. I place my hand on her cheek. "Hey, wake up..." I said, secretly using my healing power. I don't want the boys to know what I'm capable of. But I know for a fact if I continue to get involved with them, one way or another... they will know what I can do.
I just have to be extra cautious if I want to keep it a secret. I don't know how much longer that will work though. I can tell they're starting to suspect me.
The girl opens her eyes. She starts to cry as she looks at the boy. "I'm sorry, Mike..." she said. The boy I assume to be Mike frowns at what she said. "Why are you sorry?" He asked. "The Gate... me and my sister opened it. We're the monsters..." she said, in a weak voice.
"No, El... you're not the monster. Neither is your sister. You saved me. Do you understand? You SAVED me..." Mike said. He helps El to sit up. He gently hugs her. The other boy hugs them too.
I move back a little, giving them space. I furrow my eyebrows when I heard what she said a few seconds ago. Sister... I remember I have someone I consider a sister back in that horrible place. My eyes widened in realization. This girl is... 011.
