Previously on Chapter 13

His warmth and scent calm me down. Eventually, I start to feel sleepy again. I start to yawn. I snuggle closer to his side and close my eyes. I feel his arms tightening around me. Then I fall back to sleep.

Y/N P.O.V

"Hey, Y/N!" Someone called out. I turn my head to see Mike and the others. "Hey, Mike..." I said. I stop to let them catch up with me. Mike stands next to me, wrapping his arm around my shoulder. I wrap my arms around his torso. He smiles at me. I smile back. We make our way inside the school ground.

"Why is everyone glaring at me?" Mike said, looking around. I look around as well. Indeed everyone is glaring at Mike, mostly the boys. Dustin and Lucas lets out a chuckle.

"What do you expect, Mike? You're dating the most popular girl in school. Not to mention... she rarely talks to anyone. But she talked to us and actually become our friends. Look... they're glaring at me too" Lucas said, noticing one of the boy's glare at him.

Dustin nods his head in agreement. "Yupp... oh, look. Now they're glaring at me. So we better get used to it..." he said. Mike lets out a sigh at their responses.

"Sorry, guys..." I said. They turn to look at me. "Why are you sorry?" Mike said. "Well... you're in trouble because of me" I said. "Oh... don't be. They're just jealous because we're actually friends with you..." Dustin said, earning nods from the other three boys. "Best friends..." I said, making them grin at me.

After school, we decided to go to the arcade to play some game. But first, we'll go to my house because I don't have any change. We get on our bikes and start cycling to my house.

"So... what game are you going to play later, Y/N?" Dustin asked. "I don't know... guess we'll see. It's been a while I go to the arcade" I said. He nods his head in agreement.

A while later, we finally pull up by my house. I get off my bike and told the others to wait. I rush inside and grab my small purse. I open it to check how much I have. I give myself a curt nod and leave my room.

"Sorry for making you wait" I said, once I walk out of my house. "It's alright, Y/N" Mike said. "Let's get going?" Lucas said. "Sure..." I said, nodding my head. I turn around and walk to my bike, but stop.

"Hey, Mike?" I said. He turns to look at me, while already seated on his bike. "Yeah?" He said. "Can I ride with you? I don't feel like biking..." I said. He smiles and nods his head. "Sure..." he said. I grin and walk towards him. I get on behind him. I wrap my arms around his torso. He starts to cycle his bike.

Out of the corner of my eyes I can see Dustin and Lucas making kissy faces. I roll my eyes and flip them off. They burst out laughing. "What are y'all laughing at??" Mike said. "Nothing~" Lucas said. "They're teasing us" I whispered. He let out a scoff. I can practically see him rolling his eyes, despite being seated behind him.

A While Later

We finally reach the arcade. Mike stops his bike, so I can get off. He parks his bike on the bike racks. He walks towards me and gently grabs my hand. We wait for the others and make our way inside the arcade.

I start to look around the place, wondering which game I should play first. Eventually settled on F/G. Mike stands next to me as he watch me okay the game.

"Wow... you're really good at this game" Mike said. "Thanks. Guess I still have it in me..." I said, still focusing on the game. I rapidly press the button, trying to avoid getting killed.

"Yes! A new high score!" I yelled out, happily. Mike grins and pulls me into a hug. "Congratulation, Y/N! Now come on... your turn to watch me play" he said. I nod my head. He grabs my hand and starts to pull me to his favorite game.

Mike ended up gaining a new high score as well. We celebrate our victory. He hugs me tightly, and twirl us around. I let out a giggle while clutching onto his shoulders for support.

"Okay, I'm getting dizzy, Mike. Put me down" I said, patting his shoulder. He lets out a laugh and gently place me back on my feet. He keeps me in his arms, to make sure I won't fall over.

"Mike! Y/N! It's getting late! Let's go home" Dustin said. "Okay! We're coming!" Mike said. "You go on ahead. I need to use the bathroom..." I said. He turn to me and smile.

"Okay" he said, nodding his head with a smile. He place a soft kiss on the side of my head. I give his cheek a peck in return. He turns to the boys and walks out with them. I smile at them and turn around, making my way to the bathroom area.

When I'm done, the arcade is almost empty. Well, it's already closing time when Dustin calls us out. I make my way out of the arcade. I look around in confusion when I can't spot the boys.

"Mike? Guys?! Where are you?" I said. I can hear a sound of distant screaming. Then muffling sounds. I furrow my eyebrows and follow the voice. It leads me to the back building of the arcade. My eyes widen when I see the sight in front of me.

Mike and the other boys have their mouth taped up. Their arms are tied behind their backs. A group of people holding them in place. I clench my hands tightly as soon as I realize who they are.

"Let them go!" I yelled. A man walks forward. "Oh, we'll let them go alright... on one condition" he said. "What condition?" I said. "Come with us" he said. I can see Mike shaking his head, looking at me with pleading eyes.

"Either you come with us... or we're gonna have to take these boys. They'll be yours and your sister's replacements..." he said again. My eyes widened as I stare at him in horror. I shake my head.

"No! Just. Just let them go... a-and I'll c-come with y-y-you..." I said. He smirks and nods his head in satisfaction. He move his head, gesturing towards someone.

A black sack covered my head, instantly turning my sight into total darkness. I feel a hard hit on the back of my head. The last thing I remember is the sound of distant screaming. A tear escape my eyes as my eyes flutter shut. After that, everything turn into complete darkness.

I'm sorry, Mike...
