Chapter 32: Grandparents

"Grandpa?" Jungkook asks. The man nods with a huge smile on his face.

Jungkook looks at him in disbelief. It has been so long, almost 10 years since he saw family from his mom's side.

"Yes, yes I am! Remember me? I used to take you out for ice cream and watch over you when your parents were gone and when your other grandparents couldn't. It's me Jungkook! Choi Kyungho," the man smiles as tears start to pile in his eyes.

"I-I do remember you papa kyung," Jungkook calls him the nickname he used to call him when he was little. His grandpa nods. "You remember! My boy you have grown so much, it's one thing to see it in pictures, but it's another to see you in person. Look at you, so handsome," his grandpa goes ahead and caresses his hair and touches his cheeks.

"Papa, is it you? After so long?" Jungkook asks again, still in disbelief. He begins to tear up as the man nods. Jungkook then goes in and hugs him very tight.

"I promise you that it's me, big boy! It truly is me, it's not a dream or an illusion. It's been so long since we saw each other that is all," his grandpa replies, hugging back tighter. He then breaks the hug and takes another look at him.

"Gosh you've grown so much. You were still so young when I last saw you! Now you are tall, handsome as always, yet still so cute looking!" His grandpa chuckles a bit and ruffles his hair.

Jungkook gives him a small smile.

"Your grandma will be so surprised when she sees you.

"Wow you look a lot like your dad, but I see some of your mom's reflections on you too," he smiles, wiping his tears and wiping Jungkook's away.

"You still live around here papa? I thought you had moved. Or so Dad said you guys had moved overseas," Jungkook wipes his tears, he looks at his grandpa with a dear expression but filled with questions.

"No! We've always lived here. We never went overseas, I mean we did a couple of times, but we've always lived here my boy," His grandpa replies as Jungkook tilts his head confused. His dad must have lied.

"However, do you have some time? Your grandma would love to see you, and we could catch up, if not for how long are you staying in Busan for?" His grandpa asks.

"I do, I have plenty of time today and I don't leave Busan until the end of this week. I have a few more days!" Jungkook replies sniffling and tightening his grip on his backpack.

"Then would you like to come to our house? We have remodeled some of it, and it looks a little more bigger and modern, but it's still filled with love!" His grandpa enthusiastically asks, hoping the boy says yes.

"Of course, let me just message my friends that I will be getting home a little late, I came with them to Busan," Jungkook agrees as he pulls out his phone to text the group chat that they have.

"You came with your friends? It makes me so happy to hear that! I was worried you would have stayed lonely because you deserve to have people around you! Introduce us to them before you leave! Let us treat them to a meal!" His grandpa comments as they begin to walk to the house.

"Yeah I do! It wasn't until recently though," He smiles. As they head their way his grandpa asks some basic questions that he responds to but vaguely. His grandpa would love to go more in detail over the questions, but he would rather ask them all in front of his wife since she probably had the same questions in mind.

"We are here!" His grandpa stops and says after the 5 minute walk.

Jungkook looks up to see the familiar house. It's now two stories up and a little more bigger, but everything else seems the same as he remembers. The color was a whitish gray.

"I'm nervous," he says.

"It will be okay! It's going to be okay! She's going to be very happy! She's probably in the kitchen right now so I'll call her over and you stand by the door hiding where I tell you, okay?" His grandpa enthusiastically suggests.

"Okay," he smiles. It all honestly felt weird too.

The older man unlocks the door and both take off their shoes. His grandpa quietly signals for him to move to the left where they had some boxes.

"Honey, I'm home and I have a surprise for you!" Mr. Choi says happily.

Jungkook quietly looks around. Things have changed, the colors are now a little more bright, but not too bright, and there's some slight modifications to the house, like the fact that there is more natural light coming in, and the furniture being more new, but for the most part, it is just as he can remember.

"Took you a while this time! What's the surprise you have for me? Our anniversary isn't until 4 months from now!" The older female woman who doesn't look a day over 55 walks in with a smile to see her husband.

Jungkook pauses at the sound of her voice, it's still as sweet and warming as he remembers.

"Something you and I have been wanting for a very long time now," his grandpa says smiling ear to ear while trying to not cry.

"You are making me nervous just show me or tell me already!" The woman lightly slaps his chest.

Taking it as his cue, Jungkook slowly steps out and walks to the living room. "Long time no see grandma," Jungkook quietly and nervously says as the woman widens her eyes at the sight of the boy.

She brings her hands up to her mouth. His grandpa smiles going over to him and putting his arm around him before walking him close to the woman.

"I'm back," Jungkook says as tears fill his eyes.

"No way, no way!" She shakes her head in disbelief.

"Jungsuk? Jungsuk my baby is that you? I mean Jungkook? This is our grandson?!" She asks without believing it, she gets closer and tries touching him to know he's real, but doesn't know how.

"Yes it's me," he smiles, letting it slide that she just called him Jungsuk.

It was that name again.

"Oh my boy! Can I touch and hug you?" She asks as he nods. She touches his face and caresses his hair. She cries as she goes to squeeze his shoulders.

"Our first baby youngest! Oh my gosh! It really is you, I can tell by those eyes. My look how big you've gotten bunny, so handsome! It's really you!" She goes in and hugs him as she cries, he hugs back as the tears fall from his eyes.

His grandpa then goes in to hug them both.

Suddenly Jungkook feels a warmth he hasn't felt in a couple of weeks. A warmth of family love, of being cared for.

He hasn't seen his grandparents in so long but he knows his heart knows them. He can truly remember small memories of them. He starts to lose the small yearning he felt.

"I'm so happy to see you again. You have no idea how long we've waited to see you, how much we've missed you and your sister, my boy!" She goes and kisses his head.

"I've missed you guys too, a lot," he closes his eyes as he hugs them tighter. They slowly pull apart as both grandparents begin to wipe away his tears.

Jungkook sniffles. His grandma smiles, wiping her eyes. "I never thought that by coming to see the old house I'd see you guys again. But I'm happy, you have no idea how much I've needed you guys," Jungkook shaking says again trying to be strong for them.

"We've missed you a whole lot too, bun. We've missed you and your sister so much, it makes us so happy to see you again. See you so grown up and handsome! Let's sit! We have a lot to catch up on, do you have time?" His grandmother asks.

"I do, don't worry about time," he smiles, sitting on the couch next to his two grandparents.

"Let me give you something to drink! Do you still drink banana milk?" She asks as he nods.

'I still do," He smiles.

" I will get it for him dear!" His grandpa says when he sees his wife look in the direction of the kitchen where the fridge was.

"Sit, sit!" She gestures to the couches. Jungkook nods, putting his backpack down and sitting down. His grandma is sitting near him.

"How have you been, Junglookie? Have you been well? Have things been going okay?" She asked as he looked down at his hands and frowns for a slight second.

"I've been okay," he keeps it at that.

His grandma nods, understanding that he didn't want to go further into the topic.

"What about your sister! How is she?! I've seen her on some social media places and magazines, and gosh she's so beautiful! You both have good looks! Except you look so much more like your dad! She looks more like your mom, but yet you both have some reflections of both. Anyways, how is she? Is she doing well?" She smiles.

His grandpa comes in giving him the milk with a smile. "Thanks, papa!" the boy happily tales the milk that already had the straw inserted. Jungkook takes a sip before talking.

"She is doing well! She is helping dad with the company while also doing some fashion design things on the side. Since she, as you know, has always had a liking for fashion too, though she loves business more. She just got engaged not so long ago to a great man! His name is Minjun and he takes care of her very well!" He smiles as he talks about his sister, suddenly missing her a little.

"Really? She's getting married? That makes me so happy! I am so glad that she has a good man too! She deserved to be happy! When is the wedding?" His grandma asks excitedly.

"I think she plans to get married early or mid-next year!"

"What about you? Have you found any potential person to be with or who you are with?" His grandpa asked with a smirk. Jungkook looks down as he shakes his head.

"No. Not at the moment, but it is okay because I like it that way for now. I am not ready just yet for a relationship. Of course, I want one, but maybe once I am closer to finishing my degree," He smiles tightly, hoping they don't go further on the topic of love.

"Well you are still young! There is no need to rush. I am sure you will find one at some point!" His grandma caresses his knee.

"How's school? What are you majoring in? All we know based on what your dad tells us is that you are doing great and that you are majoring in something that he believes isn't the right thing. What's that about if you don't mind us asking?

"First of all, Dad has contacted you guys? Two, I am majoring in Performing arts. That's why he says that I'm majoring in something not worthy. It would be completely different if I said I was majoring in business, law, or anything that doesn't involve music," he asks and then responds.

"Ah yes, actually we've been in contact with your father through all these years. We will give you more explanations in a moment, but I'm glad you are pursuing something in music! I knew that at least one of you would get that musical bone!" His grandpa smiles at him.

Jungkook smiled, he was glad that at least his grandparents supported his passion for music. Though, he guesses it would have happened seeing as how his mom is a professor in the area.

"Two, your dad loves or loved music, he's always loved it ever since we knew him. That's one thing that brought him and your mom together," his grandpa started as Jungkook tilted his head confused.

Did he hear that right? His dad loved music? Since when? Surely it must be a joke. Though it would make sense with the lyrics he had found back at the house.

"I know that face means you don't believe us or that it's hard to believe but it's true. Your dad did love music and he also liked money and business but more so music," His grandpa smiles for a quick second.

"Had someone told him you would go into music once grown up, in that time, he would have been happy and supported you until the end. However, that changed after your mom left, he at some point disliked and tried to distance himself from whatever he and she shared, I guess it's why he doesn't want you in it. Maybe it reminds him of her, he could have other reasons too, but we wouldn't know of them," his grandma explained as Jungkook tried to process it all.

"So he loved music but hated it after mom left? That's why he's so against me and pursuing it?" He asked, trying to make sense.

"I guess," his grandpa looks at him with a frown.

"The rest is better if he explains, because even if we don't know, truly. As to your dad, yes we've been in contact with your dad all these years one way or another. It was in the pact we had made with him," his grandma comments.

"What pact?" The boy asked he didn't know.

"If you remember, even after your mom left we would come visit and see you guys right? Even two years after you guys moved to Seoul, remember?"

Jungkook nodded. He did remember that, he was small though so after a while, he wondered what happened to his grandparents, but eventually forgot.

"Well, your dad was okay with us seeing you both. Eventually, though, we don't know, we guess his heart makes more resentful seeing as how your mom never returned. Well, he stopped letting us see you guys because he said it's just become painful for your sister and you because we always reminded you both of her. So, he told us if it was better we came to see you guys less often because it was truly becoming an emotional issue I guess, us feeling very guilty he exceeded after some protest from us to get us to agree," his grandma looked down in guilt.

"We didn't want to accept, but we thought it was the right thing. So he said, he would just call us and send pictures of you guys or have us call you guys. After a while, though we realized doing so was hurting us so we told him we wanted to see you both again, but it didn't go so well... we went to Seoul to see you both but he didn't let us because he didn't inform us that you moved houses. It's been a battle honestly, because he had the power. But we always wanted to see you and your sister Jungkookie. However, your dad is a resentful man and made it impossible!" She says with desparte eyes.

She then looks down, " And-and we are sorry. We should have tried harder than that, but that's how we are in contact with him," his grandma finished off apologizing.

Jungkook shook his head and looked to the side as he smirked. He found it ridiculous and irritating to know his dad had gone so far as to even have his own grandparents stop from seeing them.

"For a while though, he didn't give us any updates. All the updates we got were from the news and magazines. However, it wasn't enough because it didn't have you in it. We didn't know he changed your name either until a year ago, no– 6 months ago. We guess that's why he told you we had gone overseas," his grandma explained further.

"You guys don't have to apologize. I'm upset about it, yes I wondered what had happened with you both. But I'm not upset, I'm upset at him for keeping noona and me from you guys when we needed your love and care! Maybe you guys did remind us of Mom, mostly Eunjae, but that didn't matter! If anything I'm sorry my dad did that, I get him being angry and resentful to her but you aren't her! You guys still stayed!" Jungkook angrily spoke as he even stood up.

"You didn't have any fault!"

"Guess my dad just loves having us, mainly me miserable, by keeping you guys away," he looks to the side as he sips on his banana milk that was almost at the bottom.

"Your dad doesn't like making you miserable kookie, he loves you and your sister so much, he is just a hurt man who has been hurt for so long and doesn't act the way he should," his grandma defends his dad. Jungkook didn't know why. Maybe she didn't know all the issues they've had.

"Why do you guys defend him? Shouldn't you guys be mad at him? Two, I find it very hard to believe that, I'm sorry, I find it hard to believe that he loves me at least. I know you guys don't know, but I've cut all contact with him to the point that I've left the house and went to live in the dorms. All these years he's made me miserable in so many ways that I could talk about, but honestly, I don't feel like doing so because it makes me feel bad," he turns around and looks down. He was too mad and upset to talk more about that part of the topic.

"It's gotten that bad between you two?" His grandma asked as Jungkook nodded.

"Yes, it has. Noona wouldn't say the same though, he's kept a good relationship with her all these years but we've clashed. He pushed me to the side for many years, my major has been the main driving factor though, maybe he likes me a little but he doesn't love me," Jungkook breathes in and lets it out.

"He may not show it, but he does love you Jungkookie. He's just been hurt and probably has taken it out on you which isn't right, and that does upset us, a lot. But he loves you, ever since he came to know about you he's loved you. He was so excited when he was told he would have a boy, and he was just as excited with your sister too, but he loves you both equally, it's hard to believe but he's cared, even now he speaks of you highly even if there's a rift," his grandpa says as Jungkook stays quiet. Wanting to believe it, but he needed to hear the words from his dad, not from them. He also didn't want to raise his hopes.

"Have you thought about talking to him again? I'm not saying that things could magically heal themselves if you say things have gotten very bad, but have you decided to talk?" His grandma now asks. Jungkook goes to sit down again.

"No, but I plan to when I come back to Seoul. Mainly because I need answers, I need a lot of answers. You guys only gave me one though, you just explained why my name was changed. But I need answers even if he and I don't resolve anything. I need to know his side about what happened after Mom," he explains.

"I'm guessing you guys know by now about what happened between her and me recently, no? How she isn't just my professor but my mother too..." he looks at them with scared eyes as they nod.

"Yes, we didn't want to say anything because we didn't want to bother you about the topic. I mean we barely just have you again with us. Plus, We know it's very fresh so we didn't want to pressure you," they look at him.

"We know because she called us yesterday crying on the phone explaining everything to us, how she's afraid that she's lost you and your sister for sure, how she's scared that you won't even want to hear her out. How it's hurting her not knowing what's going on in your mind at the moment, she knows she doesn't deserve it, but she can't help but still have hope," his grandpa explains.

"You know when I first met her, I didn't feel anything towards her but kindness. She seemed to be a good professor who cared and loved every student. It wasn't until she approached me and began to talk to me that I felt more connected to her, little by little. We started to get close and somehow I didn't mind. I found it odd that I didn't mind because I'm usually off with people older than me and in general," he explains as he looks back at the memories.

"Soon enough, every time I had a worry I would go to her because she helped calm me down, and brought me peace. She became someone I trusted a lot and very easily too. I felt warmth when I was with her, I couldn't understand really but I didn't mind it, her hugs were everything to me because I felt protected," he smiled unconsciously.

"However, in the back of my mind I still didn't know how I could get along so well with someone. However, everything fitted, of course, I felt warmth and connection. She was my mom...and as my friends say blood calls," he looks down sipping his last bit of banana milk before putting it on the table.

"However, when I found that letter, and those pictures, and learned the truth, I felt so betrayed. I felt lied to because I never thought she would be my mom. I was blinded by rage and disbelief. Even now it's still crazy to me how my professor is my mom though it makes sense. She should have told me. If it wasn't because my dad coming that day I would have found out later on or never, it's funny that I wasn't even so mad over the fact that she left, more so that she hid it from me, didn't dare to tell me when she started getting suspicious," he looks up at his grandparents as he speaks. He sighs, shaking his head.

"Are you still mad now though? How do you feel about her son? Do you still feel betrayed? Do you still feel mad about her leaving?" His grandpa asked.

"I don't know, I truly don't know yet. I guess my thoughts are a little clearer, my feelings are still a little all over though. I still wished she would have told me, regardless of how I'd react. When it comes to her leaving, I'm not mad, not anymore at least because I know she regrets it. I'm just hurt, and truly confused as to why. Hurt, mistrust, and confusion is what I feel now, however, I can't deny that I miss her?" He asks his grandparents who smile at his comment.

How much they wished too that things would have been different from what they were.

"It's only been a few months and only one week and a half since I left Seoul, but I miss her," he gets teary not over the thought of the feeling of missing her, but how overwhelming everything has been.

"But it feels so hard to trust now, and I know I need to talk to her as well but I'm scared. Everything is just so overwhelming now. I still feel overwhelmed and I just I don't know.." he choked a little as he looked to the side trying to not let the tears go down.

"Going back to the house was hard, but it felt so right. There are so many memories there, so many good memories and I just...I stopped to think for once that I wish things hadn't changed, that's when I got a little more hurt over her leaving. We had good memories, we loved her. Why couldn't it be enough?" He asks to let the tears flow because he can't stop them.

"Then I think about my father too and the horrible relationship I have with him and it's just everything is a mess. I know what I need to do, but it's hard," he cries as his grandparents move in to comfort him.

"It's okay my boy, it's okay, let it out! It's okay to feel everything you feel. We understand it's not easy. You are not in a good position right now. Also, it's okay to miss her, you've been missing her all this time, it's natural you miss her again now that you've found each other again. She's your mom after all," his grandma hugs him. He lets her as he wipes his eyes.

"We wish we could tell you her reasons, but she should do it because she knows more. It's her mentality after all, however, I do want you to know that your mom has always loved you and that you both have always been enough. You, your sister, and your father were her light and still are. I also promise you that she will never leave again. She knows better now. If you let her in, we can assure you that she will be with you both for the rest of her life. She's grown up and she faces her consequences, even if you guys don't accept anything back, she will still be there even from a near distance," his grandpa caresses his hair sweetly.

"Is it okay if it takes me even after this week to talk to her?" He asked them.

"Of course it is. Talk to her when you are ready kookie, she understands and we understand, it's okay sweet boy. Not everything falls into place overnight," his grandma wipes more of his tears as she caresses his cheek.

He smiles.

"Does your sister know by the way?" His grandpa asks.

"No," Jungkook shakes his head.

"I don't think Dad has told her either or else she would have called me by now and she hasn't. I need to tell her though, I don't want her to be in the dark because she's her daughter too. She has just as much right as I am to know what's going on, so once I get back to Seoul I'm first going to talk with my sister, then dad, and lastly Mom," he replies as he wipes his nose.

"That's the best thing to do," his grandpa comments.

"Anyways, I think that there were enough questions on my end, thank you for telling me what you can," Jungkook smiles at both.

"Of course. We will always be here for you Jungkook. Even more, now that we've been able to contact you directly. You won't see us let you both go anymore!" They say.

"Anyways, I made some food, want to eat and take some to your friends? I promise my cooking has become a lot better!" His grandma asks as Jungkook chuckles.

"Your food has always been good Grandma. Sure, anything to spend a little more time with you both," he looks at them warmly. His grandpa ruffles his hair in endearment.

Jungkook keeps his smile, at least he still has his grandparents.

                                                                      __________________

"I wonder when kookie will be back. I hope he's okay," Namjoon says as he's checking the time. It was now 6pm and Jungkook had left at 1pm. Although the younger texted them that he was going to take a while longer, he didn't specify in what or why. So, the boys decided to stay at the house for the day to chill and finish any last details on baepsae.

However, now that they had finished the musical production, they couldn't help but feel a bit worried about Jungkook. They know he's old enough to be alone, but he was going to his old house, alone, who knows what he would have found and how he would have felt.

Although Jungkook was getting better at communicating his feelings with them and opening a little more, he still was somewhat reserved and hid his feelings.

"I'm sure he will come home soon! If not, we can call him, he's gotta be okay," Yoongi says as he plays on his phone. Namjoon nods.

Suddenly they hear the door opening. The youngest had finally arrived.

"I'm home! Sorry, I took long hyungs! I just—well I'll explain, but here's some homemade food!" Jungkook comes in smiling with some food containers.

"You are finally back! Where do you get this food?" Jin asks as he goes to help Jungkook with the containers the younger male takes off his shoes and puts on his sandals.

"I got it from my grandparents..." he reveals as they all look surprised and happy with him.

"Grandparents? I thought you didn't know where they were or if they were still overseas," Namjoon asked, confused. Seeing the younger walk in and sit on the couch.

"Hmm I didn't, but after I went into my first home, I heard someone call me Jungsuk, so I turned around and saw someone that looked familiar. It was my grandpa who passed by the house here and then. He told me who he was because I was trying to confirm if it was him who I was seeing in front of me and it was. He then invited me to their house, and then I met my grandma too. It was very emotional, I still can't believe that I saw them after so many years," Jungkook says as he thinks back on the moment. He smiled though, he felt happy to see them.

"Really? Awe, I bet it was so sweet. I am guessing you guys catched up and talked?" Jimin asked. Jungkook nods.

"Yeah, we did. I ended up getting a few things cleared up, not everything but at least I know a little more, as to my home, I didn't find much except for a song sheet and some family pictures," Jungkook replies as he goes into his backpack and takes out both things.

He hands it for the others to see. They all take turns looking at the items.

"Wow, your dad and mom truly haven't aged as much, they look so good looking in these pictures, and in love. Obviously they look younger in the pics, but the aging hasn't been much," Jimin points out as they look at the picture of the happy couple.

"You also look very cute in this family picture, it's nice to see how you looked when you were young," Hobi coos at the pictures as Jungkook blushes.

"Look at his cheeks and cute toothy bunny smile," Taehyung smiled too and made the younger blush.

"Anyways, what did you learn from your parents?" Jimin asked to give the picture to the others who hadn't seen it yet.

"Long story short, turns out my grandparents never moved overseas, my father just got them to stay away from us claiming it will hurt us because they are a memory of mom. They felt guilty, so they followed along and they tried at some point to change his mind since they couldn't stand such a situation, but my dad being the stubborn man he is, didn't budge," He expresses somewhat angrily. He still couldn't fully understand how it all helped.

"He only has sent them pictures and a few things during the years. They also cleared my name thing up a bit, and yeah, when I was born my name was Jeon Jungsuk until my dad changed it. Why he changed my name I still don't know. I also got it somewhat confirmed that he was into music and that some of his ill feelings have to do with mom, which I think that the music sheet is his. The lyrics show to be his handwriting," he explains as the others look at the lyrics and as they take in what Jungkook said.

"So your name originally was Jungsuk?" Tae asked, looking at him. The boy nods.

"Do you plan to go back to that name? Do you like it?" Taehyung follows up as Jungkook thinks.

It was a nice name, he wouldn't lie, it meant goodness and loyalty, but he didn't see himself keeping that name or using it again. He preferred the name he has now because not only is it what he's been called for so long, but he liked it.

"Hmm no. I know that it is my original name and I like it, but I like Jungkook more. It's what I have been called for so long, so it feels right," He replied.

"Hmm we like it more too, though Jungsuk is cool," Hobi smiles.

"These lyrics though, are about longing, having a person come back," Yoongi says after seeing the whole sheet front and back.

"Yeah, I didn't read it all, but yeah. I guess it is about my mom...the composition looks good too," Jungkook replies as Yoongi nods. He hands it to Namjoon so that he too can read the lyrics.

"I promise not to cry

Wait for you and never forget

Just give me one last kiss that makes me dream

And this cry of pain can never silence this love

I rather hope than admit that you are gone

I love you so much my love

You don't know how much darling,

Why did you forget the reasons to be here?

Why did you leave the words I wanted to tell you?

They already told me to forget you

That time heals you and carries on, but you are still hеre

They already told mе that love doesn't kill, but it hurts you

And it just hurts so much that you die inside

Nothing matters to me, if you don't love me

And although you already left, I want you to stay.

"Wow, those lyrics are very good and deep. I kind of feel bad for reading them. They look to be very personal and very obvious about Professor," Namjoon comments looking at Jungkook who bites his lip as he nods.

"It's no wonder you are good at lyrics too, you inherited them from him. Proving it to be true that he liked music, now you just need to know if it was truly your mom or something else that made him be this way," Jimin says while playing with Jungkook's hair.

"I know, it's funny. How in one day I've been able to get more angry and more disappointed in him but also made me feel a little bad and curious about him, he has his ways. However, reading this when I first saw it, really hurt because I can feel and understand the pain...besides the romance part, I get it," he frowns looking at the wall.

He know what its like miss someone so dearly and wish they were done back, when deep down you know they probably will never return.

"I find it unfair though that he is so against me doing anything in music just because of what happened. I mean it seems like he liked music too," Jungkook sighs.

"Maybe it was deep, like we say, it's not until you talk to him," Jin says.

"Hmm" Jungkook says thinking and suddenly having an idea. He gets the sheet of paper and heads to the piano. He wants to hear the song fully.

He starts playing the instrumental of the song. There were lyrics but the song wasn't completed lyrically. Only the melodies.

"What are you doing?" Yoongi asked, getting closer.

"I want to try and play it. I think I want to add to the song," Jungkook says. He didn't know where it came from but he had the urge to finish the song. He knows this song most likely was very dear to his dad and he didn't know if messing with it was good, but either way it's not like his father would ever look at it again.

"It's a good song if completed. It's sentimental and has a good melody,"Hobi says, approaching them too.

"Let me try and sing it and see what I can add," Jungkook says, playing from the start.

I promise not to cry

Wait for you and not forget

Give me one last kiss that makes me dream

And this cry of pain

Never will this love be silent

I prefer to live waiting to accept that you are not here

I love you so much, darling

You don't know how much, darling

Why are you leaving?

"We add why are you leaving to make it more impactful. I think this part could be used as a rap part. Here, why don't one of you guys try and rap this?" Jungkook looks at Hobi, Namjoon and Yoongi. The others only watch them as they take it in to see Jungkook working on lyrics again.

"I'll try," Namjoon says.

"Wow that sounds good," Jin compliments.

I promise not to cry (Do not cry)

Wait for you and not forget (Not forget)

Give me one last kiss that makes me dream (That makes me dream)

And this scream of pain (Of pain)

Will never silence up this love (Oh, oh)

I prefer to live waiting than to accept that you are not here

I love you so much, darling

You don't know how much, darling

Why are you leaving? Tell me, why are you leaving?(Uh, oh)

Why are you leaving? Tell me, why are you leaving?(Uh, oh)

Jungkook goes again. Adding some ad-libs more and changing a few details. When he starts to feel emotional by the lyrics. Pieces of that one dream asking for his mom come to mind. He stops.

"Are you okay?" Taehyung asked worriedly as they all looked at the younger man who took a deep breath.

"Yes, it's just, bits of that one dream suddenly came to mind. I couldn't help but relate in some part to the song. I couldn't help but feel his pain.." Jungkook looks at the sheet shaking his head and writing in what he added.

"I think that was it, it sounds complete," Jimin comments as Jungkook nods.

"It does, but I'll stop here, it's been a long day and this song even if I've only paid attention to it for 20 minutes is getting to me with everything that is going on," he says, taking the paper and heading to put it in his backpack.

"It's understandable kookie, why don't we just have a seat. Watch a movie for the night and head to the beach tomorrow? We have a couple days left," Yoongi asks the boy who sits down on the couch.

"Sounds good. Oh yeah, maybe we can see my grandparents before we leave, they told me that they want to meet you. Maybe the day before we go to Jiminie's parents," he points to Jimin who nods.

"If it's fine with you all!"

"I don't mind! It would be nice to meet more of your family kookie, I know we've met some already but it'll be nice, so yes, right guys?" Jin asks the other who nods at Jungkook.

"Hmm you've attended all our family places so it's only right for us to attend yours too, that's what friends are," Hobi smiles.

"I'll let them know tomorrow then, anyways changing topics. Why don't we choose a movie?" Jungkook asked as the others nodded, putting on the TV and searching for movies.

"While you guys do that Hobi and I could go make some popcorn and snacks!" Jimin says getting up and signaling to Hoseok to join him. The older one immediately understands Jimin and nods.

"Yeah, we will get snacks you guys choose since we don't mind, let's go Jimin ah," Hobi gets up as the others nod.

As soon as they enter the kitchen, Jimin gets bowls out while Hoseok takes out some snacks.

"I know we came here for actual snacks but we came here about the letter no?" Hobi asks Jimin as he puts a popcorn bag into the microwave.

"Yes, do you think it's time? I feel like with everything maybe we should give it to him before we meet his grandparents, considering we leave the day after to Seoul," Jimin asks. They had been meaning to give the letter to Jungkook, but they only wanted to do so when they felt he was ready, for it was the Professor's wish to have it be done that way.

"Yeah, we have one day off after the day we get to Seoul, it takes him time to think about stuff, and to think about that letter, not to mention how he will have to tell his sister before speaking to Professor," Hobi goes to the fridge to take out some juice.

"Yeah, I wonder if he's ready to see her again though. It's pretty soon and I mean he won't talk to her until after he talks to his sister, but still he's going to see her before that happens,'' Jimin asks in worried.

"Hmm it's probably going to feel weird and nerve-wracking to see her again, but I just hope things will go well for them. It's what they deserve," Hobi comments back.

"True, okay then I'll give him the letter that day before," Jimin confirms.

"Let's hope it explains things for him," Hobi takes out the popcorn from the microwave.

"Let's hope," takes out the popcorn from the microwave.
