Chapter 14: Before it Vanishes
"You're a little more happy these days. It makes me happy. I was worried that you would stay in a sad mood for a while after what happened two weeks ago. Especially the day after that, you seemed a little gloomy!" Yugyeom says as he puts a plate of food in front of Jungkook and then on his end before sitting down.
"What do you mean by that? Also thanks for the food." Jungkook asks and thanks before he puts a bite inside his mouth.
"Please Jungkook, you may not know it but you seem a little more smiley and in a good mood recently. At least when you are around me, and them." He look at Jungkook when he says the word "them"
"Ever since that night you came from hanging out with the hyungs, you haven't been as down or as serious as you usually are. Not that I don't like a serious kook, because I do. But after what happened the day, before that day, anyone would feel a little run down and vulnerable. Which you were earlier, but then at night you were better and the days that followed after you seemed less tense after working. You also were more relaxed and positive when we hung out yesterday outside campus." Yugyeom tries explaining well to the other male.
Jungkook nodded, he hadn't realized that he felt less sad and tense this week. Hadn't realized that he's actually been in a good mood. It had been a while since he was a little happy, that he didn't realize he was a little happier. Though he didn't want to admit it. But everyone near Jungkook could see he was a little more brighter.
Yugyeom saw it the most. He was up late studying when Jungkook came in saying he was back. He came in with a small smile, which has surprised Yugyeom because ever since they became roommates, he had seen that every time Jungkook came back from classes or doing whatever he does he would come back with the same vibe and personality he has known from the younger. Gloomy, tense, and empty.
So to see Jungkook come back a little happy and obviously a little tipsy was a surprise for him and kind of scared him. He had for a minute felt scared that his roommate and now friend had dealt with the events that happened the day before by drinking. Even if Jungkook didn't show it, he knew the other was sad, disoriented, and disappointed with life the moment they had come back from the hospital. He had felt bad leaving him too to study but he also knew Jungkook needed space.
When he had come back that night he went to see the boy asleep, but he also had noticed the small trace of dried tears on his cheeks. Giving him confirmation he had cried. And that the fight he had with that guy mattered more than what Jungkook said and showed.
He didn't see him the rest of the day after the night. He was worried how the other would be the next day. So, feeling worried his friend had done just what he feared he asked why he drank. Only to be told that he had gone out with his hyungs, his team members, to a karaoke place after they worked on the project and drank a little. How he had fun.
The relief Yugyeom felt after hearing that made him feel more at ease on Jungkook's state. He was glad that the others had helped Jungkook out of his big slump that he sure he had that day. The slump he was in normally.
After that day, Jungkook came back to the dorm, he would seem a little less gloomy each time. And it was always when he had one, talked with Professor Jang, or had just worked on his project with the hyungs. He was also starting to open a little more to him.
"It wasn't anything Yugyeom. It's not that I'm happier, I just felt a little less tense than usual after working with the hyungs. Either way, music has always found a way to calm me and make me feel a little better." Jungkook replies, not wanting to admit that it's been the small chats and jokes he's had with the others. It scared him to admit that he was breaking a little of his walls to them. Didn't want to think he was showing his weak side. Though deep down he knew it wasn't weakness he was showing to both Yugyeom and the group.
"Please Jungkook. Don't deny to me and yourself that it hasn't been them who have made you feel a little better. Yes, music can make one feel better and I have no doubt music helps you. But I've heard you make music in the room before and you were the same, but now with the others you have changed a little. It's okay if you are feeling better and more relaxed because of them, Jungkookie. There's nothing bad with people making you feel better during the day. So what if you guys aren't friends? You guys seem to be good workers and teammates. You don't have to be friends with someone or with people to think that only by being friends they will make you happy or feel better. Sometimes acquaintances or people we know can be good people that anyone will feel fine around. And you have felt better around them. Something shifted that night or day for you guys. I see it. And I think it's good. Don't be afraid to feel happy or relaxed."
"It's hard for me to not feel afraid though..." Jungkook mumbles to himself as he drinks some of the lemonade he made for himself and Yugyeom. However, the other had heard.
"Why? Why are you afraid to be happy? To feel relaxed? No one should be afraid to be happy. Everyone deserves some happiness in their life. I don't mean to intrude, but what has caused you to be this afraid? You don't have to tell me everything, but maybe I'll have an idea. If I want to be your friend I have to know a little bit about you Jungkook. So far, we've done well. You also have to know more about me to be better friends."
"Because it's every time that I start to feel happy that everything goes wrong for me." Jungkook answered Yugyeom who looked at him wanting to know more.
"The reason I have these strong walls around me is because of everything that has gone wrong in my life. When I was little, I thought I was happy only for my mom to then leave us. When I was happy to start school, I hated going to school because people hurt me, bullied me. I was a lonely boy ever since I was small. Then in high school, when I think that things are finally turning out well to me, that someone finally likes me or in that case loved, when I think someone will care about me and not judge me for who I am or how I am or hurt me for being who I am. Destroyed me to pieces, humiliated me. Destroyed every hope and happiness within me. All my life I have been disliked for who I actually am. I've always been seen as weak, a disappointment. How can I not be sure it won't repeat? I am who I am because being who I am obviously never makes anyone happy. Yes, I still get judged now but at least no one is hurting me anymore. At least no one is daring to criticize the real me because they don't know who I truly am. That's why I'm afraid. That's why I'm also afraid to have friends. Crush these walls down." Jungkook confesses, realizing what he has done he starts to immediately regret it. He didn't know why he had just said such information to Yugyeom when he wasn't ready.
"I shouldn't have said anything. I'm sorry. I ruined dinner." Jungkook says.
"No, you didn't. You don't have to regret telling me either Jungkook. It's okay for me to know this. It allows me to see why you are the way you are, as you said. You didn't ruin dinner either, you don't need to keep this strong negative mentality." Yugyeom says, looking at the other and sighing.
"I may not know the full detailed story of every event you briefly mentioned, and I'm sorry you have had a hard life so far, but this is good." Yugyeom gets closer by scooting his chair.
"How is it good? For me this isn't good." Jungkook sighs and runs his hands through his hair.
"This is good because you are opening up. This is good because it allows me to get to know you better. It allows me to see what in my duty as a friend I need to make you feel more secure in, and comfortable. It allows me to also not judge you the way other people on this campus do. It allows me to teach you that not everybody in the world will pretend and be your friend to hurt you. Not everyone will be like the people from your past who will do all of this as a way to humiliate you or pity you. I don't pity you, I just want to be a friend because for some reason, I know deep down that you are a good friend. That I'd love to know the real Jungkook rather than the one with a mask." Yugyeom tries his best to express himself to Jungkook. He wanted the other to be sure that he wanted to be his friend and that it was okay to let someone in, even if it's slowly.
"How are you sure you will like who I really am? I know you aren't doing this out of pity, you made that clear when you told me I was your friend, I just can't help it sometimes. I'm a difficult person." Jungkook replies back and eats his food with a small pout.
"How am I sure? Well, I didn't fully listen to what people think, though I could have, right? And I let you know last time that I don't care if it's difficult because I will make you feel and think you aren't so difficult to work with. I'm already having some help from other people too."
"What other people, and two, you do know it's going to be a long process for that, right? You are aware that it's going to take time for me to fully trust your word. I don't know how anyone is willing to wait." Jungkook responds. He kind of knew deep within that Yugyeom was a good person and that he was truly wanting to be his friend. He knew the moment the other mentioned such a relationship and he's so far done right, but Jungkook is too traumatized to think it will last forever. But he always hoped someone would last a while.
"I do know. I know it will take some time but I'm willing to try. I'm willing to show you, I really am kook. As to who, don't pretend. It's clearly the hyungs in your group. Bangtan. They've helped me unconsciously, by easing you up a little. I know it's scary for you, but I promise that you won't always be sad whenever you are happy. It won't always be ruined. One day the happiness will stay. And If the hyungs ever want to be your friends too, let them. They are good people, they did mess up at the start based on what I heard but you can tell it's different now.
"Just don't say I didn't tell you so in the long run when you get tired of trying. Second, we aren't friends Yugyeom, we won't be. We are just good teammates right now or acquaintances. Okay, I admit they've eased up my mind these days but that's all. Not everyone will be like you and be my friend. We are good because we are acquaintances. But I don't want to talk about it anymore, so can we drop it?" Jungkook asks. He knew he was feeling better these days. He didn't have much in mind. Yes, he was always highly alert of Sungchul and Haewa, but he wasn't as paranoid or all over the place like he usually was.
But sometimes he wondered if it was just him pushing his thoughts away. Yet, maybe it was that but the bit didn't know it was because the others tried his best to distract him. But again, he didn't want to let himself think about it.
"Fine, but I don't know. I feel I'm going to be telling you 'I said so' in the future. Also maybe now they are teammate's, but something tells me your bond will grow. But fine, I'll drop it. " Yugyeom says, leeting go and bringing the spoon filled with food into his mouth.
"Did you hear about the party being hosted by a club at school that was funded by one of the professors from the music department? Everyone heard about it today, apparently it will be a big thing." Yugyeom shrugs, finding right away what topic to switch the conversation to.
"I heard about it, I won't go. I haven't ever been to a party nor do I plan to go to one. At least not while I'm in college." Jungkook responds by finishing his dinner and putting the plate in the sink to wash it right away.
"Rumors really have it all wrong huh? They are just rumors. Everyone always talks about you fucking other people and going to parties and what not. Only for you to actually stay home. Amazing. But maybe you should go to one! Maybe it won't be as bad." Yugyeom finishes as well and wipes his mouth with a napkin.
"Rumors are just that, rumors. But again, or like I always say, I can't blame people much, I know how I appear and show to be. But I won't deny some people add too much to who I am." Jungkook finished his plate and let Yugyeom wash his.
"Those parties aren't for me. I won't know how to act or how to converse or have fun. It's just not for me, okay?" Jungkook sits down at the chair.
"What if you go with me? My other hyungs have stuff that day, so they can't go but you can accompany me. We can go for only an hour or two then leave. Come on, you can't always be secluded from the world, go out, have fun. Love your young adult life." Yugyeom looks down at his plate while trying to motivate the other.
"No. You won't always be able to change my mind about things. I hope you know that. Anyways, ima shower, do some homework and sleep." Jungkook says cooly to Yugyeom and goes to his room.
"I will try my best to make you happier. I'm breaking your walls down bit by bit, but I know others who can help make the process faster." Yugyeom says to himself after Jungkook has walked to his room. He shakes his head and continues his duties.
Next Day
"Alright, we went over that, now, I want to see the progress you've all done in your project. Give some feedback so I decided that in two weeks I'll evaluate each group. The showcase is only three months away guys. A lot can be done and happen during that time. Me giving this task way before the date is so that you all could have a lot of time. I also know you have classes outside of this one, so I'm generous but I don't want you to think I won't do anything or grade anything until the end. I'll send an email to you all so that you know the time slots and when I'll meet each and every one of you to get ready, okay? With that, you all may leave. Have a nice day." Professor Jang says to her students and ends her lecture with a smile.
"Hey guys, will we start the choreo today? Or when? We have the first song done, we could start some choreo." Jimin stands up and puts himself in front of Jin, Hobi, and Jungkook who were sitting all together.
"I don't see why not? But I think it's best if we who have choreography class come up so that the rest find it easier. I mean either way Yoongi, Namjoon, and Jungkook did a lot of work. It's only fair that Jiminie and I help in choreo." Hobi replies.
"I could help too. I did help in Melody and part of the lyrics, but the arrangements and recording was all on them. I could help in choreo, I also have choreography class." Jungkook speaks out as he looks up from his backpack where he was putting his stuff away.
"No, Jungkook, you already helped enough. You don't need to help us with this." Jin quickly interferes after Jungkook speaks.
"Yeah, it wouldn't really be fair." Taehyung adds. They truly didn't want the other to do most of the work. They all had to contribute too.
"Trust me, it's fine. My classes aren't so work heavy this month, you two can be the main creators I'll just help on the side. Plus, it's a good distraction for me, really." Jungkook replies, wanting to help out more. Yes, to him, he's helped, but he feels as if the others have done more work than him. But in reality they all had their part.
"We won't be able to say no to you, huh?" Yoongi days after seeing it's a lost cause. After hanging and working with the younger these past few times, the others have already picked up some of his habits and true traits. And being stubborn was one they were starting to know too well.
Jungkook nods his head. "Fine, but not too much! As to the second dance, you will not help. Wow, never thought I'd ask you to not help. But we've come far so who cares at this point."
"Yeah you aren't allowed to help us in the second song. Your vocals will be all we need! You did a lot. This has to be fair." Namjoon says to the younger who nods, not wanting to fight them on it. They were going to continue when they got interrupted.
"Hey guys! I wanted to let you know that a party is being held this weekend if you guys want to come! We are trying to make it a good and fun party. The tough season is coming soon, so the club thought a little fun will help!" A classmate of theirs, Haesun goes over to them, handing the poster to the group of boys. Who didn't seem surprised, they had heard about this party.
"If you guys decide to come, you could also go up and sing and blow the roof of this party! We all know how talented you guys are." She smiles at them. Jungkook only looks at his phone which he had taken out the moment he had seen Haesun approach the members. He knew he wouldn't be involved.
"You can come too, Jeon. I am sure many girls and guys will be happy to see you there too and have some fun. You could have some fun too, in any way you want. You could also perform too. Bad boys have talents too, I am sure. So here!" She honestly says to the boy. She knew his reputation, but she didn't care. She cared more for other things.
"See you guys!" She says and leaves. The boys just stand there, feeling off since Haesun had done everything so randomly and quickly.
"She's something. Are you guys gonna go?" Jimin asks.
"I heard about it but I don't know if I wanna go. I just want to stay in my dorm and work on music or catch up on sleep." Yoongi replies and starts to pack his things.
"I wanna go! They say it will be an amazing night and party and we've truly haven't gone out in a while. We could go for a few hours! What's the harm?" Taehyung shrugs, grabbing his bag.
"I'd like to go too. I usually stay home and don't like parties but if you guys go, I go." Jin replied with a smile.
"Same here." Namjoon says
"Me too." Taehyung also replies while Jungkook stays quiet.
"How about you Jungkook? Will you go? If so you can go with us! We won't mind and maybe it will be even more fun if we go as seven." Jimin looks at Jungkook who was still on his phone. Jungkook looks up and shakes his head.
"Nah, it's cool. I don't want to go. Parties aren't my thing." He shrugs, putting his phone away.
"People really have it all wrong about you. You don't like parties? Let me guess, you going to parties have just been rumors and lies." Hoseok asks and Jungkook nods as he gets up.
"Not everything about me is true. Would I go to one in the future? Yes, but they aren't for me. I'll sour the whole campus mood if I go!" He replies.
"You won't. She said some people want you there. Come on, we've been working hard and it's getting supervised. We should all go!" Taehyung says.
"I'll think about it." Yoongi replies.
"I don't know. It's going to be hard to convince me. Maybe I'll go, maybe I won't." Jungkook replies, he does want to go but something in him makes him feel afraid of doing so. But crowds have never been his thing. But he had wondered again, how it would be like to go and have fun, let his body loose and be someone his age. But for that you usually have friends or acquaintances and he didn't have any of that. At least not back then.
"You guys, ahh really." Hoseok shakes his head. Yoongi only smirks at his reaction and looks up when they see professor Jang approaching. "How are you guys! Everything okay?" She asks, seeing how they still hadn't left.
"Everything is fine professor! There's just recently been a party planned this weekend. Most of us want to go because it's been a while and we want to let loose a little, but Jungkookie and Yoongi don't want to go." Jimin complains and she chuckles.
"I get why it may not be Jungkook's area, but why don't you want to go Yoongi-ssi? Also, you guys can go without them too, can't you?" She asks Yoongi and then at the others as she crosses her arms.
"Crowds aren't my thing. Yes, parties are fun but I don't know. Not feeling this I guess? Also yes, why don't you guys go without us?" Yoongi looks into their eyes.
"Because usually we all go! I mean we could if we don't end up convincing you guys. But the tradition is we all go and have fun." Namjoon replies.
"I've never gone with you guys to any party or event. Why do you guys want me to go with you guys? I get Yoongi Hyung, but me?" Jungkook questions, intrigued by what they will say.
"Cuz in some way, you've become part of our team too. I know right now we mainly see each other as acquaintances, but the last time we hung out with you at that karaoke place we had a lot of fun. More fun than we usually do as a six. You have this thing that we can't really explain. Who knows, maybe you will make this party fun! You can even invite Yugyeom too if you want to bring a friend. But I don't know, I guess I thought it would be fun? I don't know about others." Jimin looks at the other who shyly nods.
Somehow that makes Jungkook feel warm inside, that he smiles a little. Professor Jang takes note of this and smiles at herself.
"You guys went out together?" She asks happily and they all nod.
"Ah, so I am fun. Well I guess you agree with the rumors that I am fun. But I still don't know, I guess I'll think about it." He says when he gets a gaze from Professor Jang. One he easily knew how to tell what she was trying to communicate with him.
"Professor, can you tell how fun college parties are? I'm guessing you attended some yourself when you were in college?" Jin asks.
"Hmm well, I did go to a few, but not many. I mainly studied and took care of my kids. I had them young. So, it was either I focused on them and my studies or my studies and partying. Obviously, I would focus on them at that time. But my fiancée and I did go here and then to some parties when our parents watched over our kids." She replies with a smile remembering the memories.
"I know you said you had kids early, but I never thought it would be that early in your 20s?" Taehyung asks.
"Yeah... try not to have kids so early. I was 19 when I had my daughter and 21 when I had my son. Use protections that are really strong if you don't want kids so early. However, I don't regret having them. Even if they may think otherwise." She says and frowns sadly.
"I'm sure you are a good mother. People our age these days...are just weird and don't take advantage of the love their parents give them." Namjoon tries to comfort her. Jungkook stays quiet, knowing why she's saying such words and he frowns.
"Thanks, but I don't think so. However, we aren't here to talk about me. Jungkook, Yoongi, it's okay I'd you don't want to go, but I suggest to have fun. Not all parties are bad but be careful, it is the college we are talking about here. There's no harm in going to at least one party too, Jungkook. However, if you want to stay home, that works as well, okay?" She puts her hand on Namjoon and Jimin's back and rubs it. It's then she gets a phone call. "Oh, I have to take this, but I hope you all have a good day! Also Jungkook, I expect to hear from you soon!" She gestures at him and he gives her a smile and a nod before she takes her phone and answers the call. The boys stay a little longer and then leave.
"Hello? Investigator, you have news for me?" She asks, feeling worried.
"Yea, we want to tell you we've made a lot of progress with your kids. We were wrong, they aren't in Busan any longer. They are now in Seoul, it's believed that they have graduated college, both of them. Or at least one of them but maybe both. However, the issue is we can't find any people from Busan that have their identities, so we will investigate further to see if their lady name was changed or we missed a piece. We say that in a month and half at most two, we will have answers to who your children are."
"So, they have been in Seoul all along? Really?" She feels her body tremble a little at the thought she was in the same place as her children.
"Yes. We will have more information soon. Just wanted to give you a heads up."
"I see, well thank you investigator. I really appreciate it and I do hope you guys give me my answers soon. We will stay in contact." She says and they bid farewell on their phones before ending the call. They are here. They are in this city.
"Ahh it feels good to be in the studio and work on something one can create." Hoseok says once they enter the dance practice room they reserved for the choreo. After leaving Professor Jangs class the group decided to start the dance creation the day of. Jungkook, Jimin and Hoseok went to pick up and change clothes and met at the dance room, while the others went to eat.
"Please Hyung, you act like you didn't come last week to dance." Jimin laughs and puts his stuff down near Jungkooks.
"I haven't been here in two weeks. I won't lie, I'm kind of excited." Jungkook replies freely.
"You come to dance often, Jungkook?" Hoseok asks as he begins to stretch.
"Ahh yeah, it kind of helps relieve some stress for me when I feel really bad." He shyly admits.
"Huh, well I'd like to see you dance before we start! Stretch first, but I'm curious on how good your dance skills are." Hobi smiles at him mischievously. He just wanted to see him dance.
"Huh? Me dance? Can't I just show a video? Why do I have to prove I can dance?" He asks a little offensively.
"I'm sure you can dance, but I want to see what your style is. Plus we will be dancing the whole time. Nothing wrong with seeing you dance right now. It will also help me see how sharp your moves can be for when we are planning the dance. Come on, don't be shy now. Your Jeon Jungkook, prove to me how well you can dance." Hoseok teases.
Jungkook gulps. He suddenly started to feel a little nervous. It's not that he was so shy to dance but he would be dancing in front of Hoseok. Everyone in the dance field knows just how picky and amazing Hobi is at dance. He's known as one of the top dance students along with Jimin.
"Don't be nervous Jungkookie! I'm sure you will blow me and Hobi Hyung away. You don't have to, but it will be nice. Or are you that afraid?" Jimin puts a hand on his shoulder and adds to the tease too.
"I'm not afraid." Jungkook defends himself.
"Okay, then stretch and show us!" Hoseok smirks widely. Jungkook nods, he won't go back on his word though he regrets admitting that he wasn't scared, but he couldn't take down his strong aurora in front of them yet. It's bad enough for him that they are slowly finding a way through the crevices of his walls.
"Fine." He says and begins to stretch out the most he can before deciding in his head what song to dance to.
"Hoseok, shouldn't we get more than us three dancers? I mean it's seven of us. I know the others are resting but I mean it won't be the same if we get just as three." Jimin worriedly asks as he stretches his right leg.
"I know, that's why I invited some dancers I know to come with us. They aren't from the campus, but from the dance studio I work from! They should come in 15 minutes. I made sure they weren't from this campus so that Jungkookie feels comfortable." Hoseok smiles and Jungkook furrows his eyebrows confused.
"Elaborate." Jungkook asks as he almost finished stretching his body.
"I knew that you wouldn't feel comfortable if I asked help from dancers in this school, because they will give you a hard time and vice versa, so I asked help from the dance studio. I work half time for some weekends to help. They won't know you at all, so you are free to be comfortable and unrestricted. Also, don't deny that you wouldn't have felt uncomfortable. You would have, and to be honest so would have Jimin and I. We wouldn't anyone judging you like we did. You already get enough crap as it is." Hoseok replies and Jungkook gapes a little. He felt something warm inside.
The fact that Hoseok considered his feelings for the helpers in this dance, made him feel included and understood. He didn't need to do such a thing, yet he did. Jungkook doesn't know why, they are only acquaintances, but he appreciates the gesture either way.
"Oh, thanks I guess." He gives a small smile and Hobi smiles bigger.
"I'm all warmed up now. I'll go plug my phone in and show you that I can dance." Jungkook gets up with his phone in his hand. He was still nervous but he wouldn't show it. He looks for a song to play once he finds it he adjusts the volume on the speakers and starts the song. Immediately getting into position after putting his phone down.
Jimin and Hoseok heard the music start and with it, Jungkook started to dance too. Right from the start Jungkook started his dance moves sharp and energized but very clean. He tries his best to embody the song and his motivation.
"Bad guy, huh?" Jimin says when he realized it was Billie Elish. Hoseok nods as he attentively watches Jungkook.
"He's really good. Is there something he may not be good at? I truly wonder." Hoseok says throughout a part of Jungkooks time. When the music stops, so does Jungkook and both Jimin and Hobi clap very hard as Jungkook pants, catching his breath.
"Wow, amazing! Is there something you can't do! You have skills, Jungkook." Hoseok smiles and Jungkook bows a little to thank for the compliments. "Ahh thanks. You both are better dancers than I am." He says.
"You are more humble than what people think. Be a real bad boy and pretend you are better than everyone else. It's good to be confident in one's skills Jungkookie!!" Jimin pats his back. Then suddenly a group of five guys came in bowing and saying hello.
"Guys! Thanks for coming! I'm sure some of you remember Jiminie! However, none of you have met Jungkook right? Well this is Jeon Jungkook! He's our team member for this project. Jungkook, this is Jaesung, Minwoo, Dojun, and Yunseo!" Hobi introduces the dances to Jungkook who bow to the younger. Jungkook bows back and greets them with a shy smile.
"Nice meeting you guys!" Jungkook says.
"Okay, let's get started." Jimin says.
——————————-
Four hours later.
"Okay, why don't we take it from the top? I think we got a lot done for the first part of the song! You all have had great ideas!" Hobi says feeling tired from working on the choreography with the others for four hours now. Each person tried adding suggestions in. Jimin had come up with the good idea to embody a butterfly, the planning started from there.
"Okay, one more time!" Jungkook leads and gets into his position. They go through the lyrics as they dance and then slowly come to an end with what they got done today.
"Good job guys! That would be all for today! Let's meet again tomorrow to finish the second half of the song! You all worked hard!" Jimin says to the dancers and to Hobi and Jungkook who had gone to quickly drink some water. The other dancers nod and get ready to take their things.
"Great job, we work well! We were able to get the first half of the song done! Though I can already imagine how much Jin and the others will complain about this dance. It's a slow song, but we have a lot of technique in the dance to be graceful." Jimin goes over to Hobi and Jungkook.
"He will make a fit, but I trust that our friends will be able to pull through with this dance! Don't forget we have another choreo to start and sing." Hobi replies and Jimin sighs and nods his head.
"What did you think of it Jungkookie? You added a lot of good ideas to this choreo too! You are also very great at footwork." Jimin asks the younger one who was using his shirt as a fan.
"I like it. Never done a dance in this style, it's something new but I feel it will do well." Jungkook comments feeling tired but not too tired. He still had some energy in him.
"Hmm, how about for our hard work we go get some dessert and then go to dorms? We've worked hard so we deserve a treat! It's on me!" Jimin suggests feeling like eating something sweet.
"Me too! I'm in." Hobi smiles.
"I guess I'll go." Jungkook replies and both smile. They are glad they didn't need to hassle him into joining them like other times.
"Good! Let's get our stuff and then leave!" Hoseok says and they all get to it. They collect their belongings and greet the other dancers a goodbye before they leave the studio themselves. Once they are out the door the boys let the cool air of the night hit their face.
"Ahh it feels nice. The stars are so pretty today." Jimin says as they walk, looking up at the clear skies with shining stars.
"It really is. I love the day, but the night has it's amazing style." Hoseok adds, looking up at himself. Jungkook looks too and smiles. He gets out his phone and takes a picture of the sky. The two others notice this and smile.
"You really like taking pictures?" Hoseok asks Jungkook who puts his phone down and nods.
"Yeah, I like capturing nice scenery. My grandma loves pictures too, she was a photographer and so I guess I got some love for pictures from there." Jungkook smiles remembering his grandma and feeling a little sad too.
"I bet she taught you a lot, huh?" Jimin asks.
"Yeah, she did. When my dad was very busy she would keep me company and teach me things like photography. She was a mom to me." Jungkook says, not wanting to reveal too much.
"I'm sure she's proud of you." Hoseok says.
"I hope. Though I don't think so. I hardly make anyone proud of me." Jungkook says nonchalantly and puts his phone away. Hobi and Jimin look at themselves feeling sad that the other said such words. Wondering a little about the life of Jungkook. The true life.
They enter the store. Each member picks out an ice cream and then sit down to eat them. "I'm sure some people out there are proud of you Jungkook. We always have someone who is proud of us." Jimin tells the younger one after getting comfortable in their seats.
"Hmm, that's hard to believe for someone like me. Who will be proud of someone that people get scared of? That people don't like to be around? Not that I need people around me, but how I am isn't received well by people. I have no one to blame." He shrugs as he licks his ice cream.
"Is that why you aren't going to the party? You feel it will make everyone uncomfortable?" Hoseok asks, Jungkook stops eating his ice cream when he hears Hobis' statement. He didn't know the other would guess why so suddenly and correctly.
"Yeah, people say I go to parties, but I don't. Why make people bitter and myself bitter? Doesn't work out, but it's cool. I like staying in my own place too." He half lies and tells part of the truth. He wondered about the life of partying, but he knew it would only happen when he was older or only in his dreams.
"But sometimes at parties, you have people who don't care who you are. You think everyone hates you? There's thousands of students in this campus, Jungkook. Not everyone hates you or knows that about you. I'm sure some don't care. People end up forgetting many things at parties. Don't let things stop you from doing things your age. From having fun, from having friends who will accept you no matter how you are. From meeting people, maybe it's scary but everyone deserves some joy and fun. I think you should go to the party. Come with us, bring Yugyeom like we said. You will have fun." Jimin tells the younger one who looks at him and down at his shoes as he speaks.
"Jiminie, is right! We will make sure that you have fun! You have had fun with us at the karaoke place and all our banter haven't you?" Hoseok nudges Jungkooks elbow. Who smiles. He can't deny that he has fun with them.
"I have, but don't get too high and mighty on it." He replied with a grin.
"Then come with us! We will make it fun! Just one party. We will be there with you in case something goes wrong." Hobi adds and Jungkook thinks about it. He wanted to go and see what it was like but something inside him also told him it was a bad idea. But he knew they were right. It was only one party and he could always leave if he didn't like it.
"Ugh, fine. I'll go. Plus, I need to keep my reputation in check. Bad boys go to parties right? Might as well play my role right. Plus, Yugyeom really wants to go." Jungkook gives in even though he regrets it's that moment, but knows he can't take back what he said.
"Good! Then that means Yoongi Hyung will come along too! We will find a way to influence him! Don't worry, we will be there! Yugyeom too. This could be something you can remember." Jimin says finishing his ice cream.
"Something in me tells me the same." The younger says, not knowing it will be a night for him to remember.

"Are you sure they will come? I don't want this party to have any mistakes." The young male says to his friend.
"They always come to parties. He will too. There won't be any mistake but aren't you afraid of the consequences this could have for you?" The female girl with honey blonde hair asks.
"I do. But I'll try my best to not be caught. I want to truly show everyone the truth. I keep my words when something has happened to me." He smirks and the other girl just shakes her head as they go over important information on the computer.
