XXVI -- Moments of the Past (2)

The Sports Festival finally came. Aoi made it first to the first game, and also won the second game while teaming up with Shin. She also became the winner of the third game. The final round came. It's the time for the semi-finalists of each year level to battle.

"Kiseki Aoi..." Shouto's classmate, Uraraka, stared at the board showing which round they would battle. She's at round four and her opponent is the pale blue-haired freshman.

"You're against a freshman Uraraka-san." Midoriya stated.

"Yeah but that freshman...." Uraraka trailed off.

Beside her is the said freshman, staring at the board as well. Her golden eyes noticed the brown haired girl beside her. She greeted with a bow and left.

"That freshman is the Sports Festival Champion of their level, right? Her Quirk is not a great match for yours."

Uraraka gulped down her saliva.

"Well, winning is not just about one's Quirk. It's about determination!"

"You wanted to meet me?" She asked the fair girl with onyx eyes and black hair tied into a ponytail.

They are at the back of the Class 1-A's Dormitory.

"Yes. I want to tell you something, Kiseki-san."

Aoi stayed silent, waiting for what she's going to say.

"Please stop this."

Aoi narrowed her eyes slightly. "Stop what?"

"All of this. Stop this deal about the Sports Festival. Stop chasing Todoroki-san. Stop making things complcated."

"As you say that, you're making me think that you're afraid that I might defeat you."

"No, not afraid." Yaoyorozu's expression turned gentle yet sad. "Pity."

Aoi turned silent. It took several seconds before she spoke again. "What makes you say that?"

"I pity you, Kiseki-san. Because no matter what the outcome of our battle would be, Todoroki-san will still choose me. Do you know why?"

Aoi didn't answer.

"Because Todoroki-san loves me. And he will always choose the one he loves."

Round four came.

"Now it's time for the fourth round! A freshman against a 3rd year! The girl who can send you flying in a touch of her palm, Uraraka Ochako of Class 3-A!

Uraraka entered the stadium. The cheers were deafening but she's not nervous. Her classmates are always there to support her.

"Fighting against, the freshman who gave an outstanding performance from the first game until the the third! Will she continue her winning streak against an experienced senior? The miracle, Kiseki Aoi!"

Aoi entered the the stage. As soon as she stepped into the line, Uraraka felt a heavy pressure.

'What is this? She doesn't feel like a freshman at all!'

Aoi's eyes were emotionless as always. But Shin who's sitting at the bleachers could see that something's off with her.

"You've done a great job provoking her, Momo." Shin muttered under his breath.

The buzzer rang, indicating the start of the fight. Uraraka didn't hesitate to charge towards Aoi.

'I can't win using my Quirk so I'll have to use martial art--what the--'

She dodge in the last minute as a sudden concret wall blocked her path. The stadium started shaking. A mountain was created with Aoi ontop of it. Then Aoi took large pieces of concrete from the outside of the ring and they are floating above her waiting for her next command. One hit of that concrete would crush a normal citizen. But those concrete made Uraraka smile.

They don't work against her Quirk. No. Even this mountain.

She touched the mountain with both of her palms and it started floating. She pushed it up in the air and it flew away from the stadium.

"Woah! Uraraka can even move a mountain like boulder! No one can stop her gravity! Has Kiseki lost the battle!? Did she float away along with the mountain!?"

When the floating mountain disappeared from their sight, the large boulders flew towards Uraraka at a tremendous speed. She managed to dodge a few of them but one unexpected boulder hit her.

Aoi looked at her as she flew down to the ring. The boulder floated as if it lost it's gravity and Uraraka with survived, injuring her hands and feet by catching the boulder.

"Impressive." Aoi stated as she raised her right hand.

The mountain that disappeared came back. From the sky, it broke into pieces. The open roof of the stadium is now shadowed by tons of large floating boulders.

"I would like to see you catch them all." Then Aoi swang her hand down in front of her and the boulders flew down one by one with speed greater than the last.

Uraraka doesn't have the time to take a breath. Every boulder landing inside the ring shakes the entire stadium. Once she dodges one, another is already flying where she is at. Some of the boulders are impossible to dodge, leaving her no choice but to catch them. With every dodge, she kept on running to where Aoi is standing at.

The entire ring is filled with boulders when she reached Aoi.

"Gotcha!" Aoi didn't get to dodge when Uraraka held Aoi's arm, twisted it and pushed her down the ground with Aoi's arm behind her back.

"Never rely too much on your Quirk." Uraraka stated that while panting.

Aoi knows that. She is very aware of that because of how Shin uses his Quirk. But...

"I pity you, Kiseki-san. Because no matter what the outcome of our battle would be, Todoroki-san will still choose me? Do you know why?"

Aoi couldn't control her anger.

"Because Todoroki-san loves me."

Aoi's eyes glowed once again. The boulders around them started shattering into smaller and smaller pieces turning them into sand.

"I... Won't lose." Aoi declared and the huge amount of sand started attacking Uraraka in the face. She had no choice but to let go of Aoi to block the sand but it still threw her away from Aoi.

It's not just that. The sand circled around Uraraka like a tornado. When she tried to touch the sand, it felt like her hands would cut off. The moved towards the edge of the ring but she couldn't stop it. If she would turn off her own gravity, she would be sent flying out of the stage. If she would move against where the tornado's heading, it won't be sure if she could survive it.

She has no choice.

"I will win!"

Uraraka walked against the tornado. The sand felt like a thousand needles pierced her every body. It felt impossible to take a step. Luckily the tornado was small and she got out before it reached outside the line. But it wasn't without a price. When Uraraka got out, her entire body was bleeding. She took another step before she fell down.
