SUMMER TRAINING

JULY OF LAST YEAR

Several days had past since the beginning of Summer Training. The Class 1-A and B felt like they entered a new hell. Shin's training regimen was not for the faint of heart.

Fortunately, no one wished to give up. They were aspiring to become heroes after all, and Shin was pretty good at motivating (threatening) them to stay with his regimen. And those several days had given appealing results to each of the students. Also every night, Aoi would visit each student and heal them for the day. They were really grateful for Aoi's new ability.

"Thank you, Kiseki! I feel better now."

Aoi nodded at the last male student from Class 1-B that she healed. She immediately left before she could no longer contain her smile. Showing emotions felt embarrassing for her. She went outside at the back of the resthouse and sat down at the wooden stairs. Finally, she let herself smile.

She felt so happy. This must be the reason why doctors exist. There were people who sincerely become happy at easing someone's pain.

"...!" Her smile disappeared quickly as she felt her head pounding once again.

Aoi held her head tightly. She could feel the muscles and veins of her head throbbing in pain. This also felt alright for her though. Probably because of the training, she didn't find it hard to create a force field for the entire island, so her headaches only appear after healing her fellow students. This headache was only a little price to pay.

"Aoi?"

She froze at that moment. What was he doing here? What is she thinking? Of course, he would appear here. She should've just walked to the beach instead so no one could see her.

Taking a deep breath, she calmed herself down. There was no need to panic. He didn't care about Aoi at all in the first place. She placed her hand back down, then turned to him.

"Yes?"

She was right. The person who called her was none other than Shouto.

"Are you alright?"

"Yes."

Aoi answered his question quickly without hesitation. It made the silence creep in and the atmosphere turned way awkward than it already was. Her head was still pounding, and she didn't want Shouto to notice any of it.

"I'll head inside now" She got up on her feet. "Good night."

She walked towards the door

"Aoi."

She stopped her steps.

"Yes?"

"Rest well."

She stopped the reflexive urge of her eyes to widen in surprise. Then she responded to him with a single nod. She turned around and walked away.

'That was the first time Shou-kun told me to rest well.'

When Aoi finally left, a heavy sigh escaped Shouto's lips. He opened the palm of his right hand, revealing a medicine for headache along with a small case of vapor rub that had a good minty aroma.

"What am I doing?"

He placed them in the pocket of his trousers.

Aoi woke up the next day with the headache already gone. She had realized these days that sleep helps her to heal a lot faster and remove her Quirk's side-effects. After sitting up and stretching her arms a bit, she got up and looked around. Since there were only a few female students in both classes, the girls of Class 1-A and B were in the same dorm-type room. Arashi was no longer at her bed. Aoi didn't find it unusual since the other girl often wakes up earlier than her.

After changing clothes, she walked out of the room wearing a yellow pastel shirt and dark blue jogging pants, simple yet perfectly comfortable for training. As she got out, she immediately saw a young lady with long dark wavy hair that has the same color as the clouds during a stormy night. Her eyes were in deep rich blue color.

"Kiseki." The young lady called out.

"Amezawa, good morning." The other young lady with straight pale blue hair that resembles a misty dawn along with eyes with as gold as the morning sun, responded with a proper greeting.

Aoi was about to walk down towards the dining wall when a soft hand grabbed her wrist. She turned her head.

"What is it?"

Arashi's head was low, making her bangs cover her eyes. Her jaw was clenched and her arm was shaking.

"You...you're a hero, right?" She asked a question seemed off for Aoi.

"Yes." Nevertheless, Aoi answered with her usual monotone voice. Arashi gripped Aoi's wrist tighter.

"Heroes help each other. It's their responsibility so that means they don't need to owe any favors."

She was gripping Aoi's wrist so tight that the latter's left hand felt so numb.

"Yes."

"I..."Arashi gritted her teeth.

"What help do you need?"

Arashi's eyes widen. Her pride hurt so much that she could cry at any moment, but she ate it up and swallowed it down, burning her gut.

"Let me take you there so you could see." Arashi stated.

They both arrived at the boy's dorm room of Class 3-A. Arashi finally let go of Aoi's wrist. Then they went inside while Aoi caressed her left wrist even though its bruise healed in seconds. Just because it healed doesn't mean it didn't hurt, after all.

They walked towards the bed where most of the Class 3-A male students were surrounding it. Shouto was sitting on his bed while reading a book Yaoyorozu gave him when he noticed a familiar and unique color with his peripheral vision. He snapped his head up and his eyes widen when he confirmed that it was Aoi's hair color that he saw.

"Bakugo, take this medicine. It's really helpful."

"Woah as expected of our Class-Rep. Nice Iida-kun"

"Ughh... Shut up, Kirishima, you're so noisy. And why are you guys surrounding me? Get the hell away."

"Kacchan, we're only worried about you. You're fever is so high."

"Oh, so it's a fever."

The crowd turned their heads towards the two young ladies when Aoi spoke.

Mineta exclaimed, "It's the pretty one and..!" His eyes landed on Arashi's voluptuous chest. Then he started panting like a dog with his red cheeks.

Her deep blue eyes turned purple and a lightning flashed outside the window. "Do you want to die, pervert?"

Mineta jumped along the thunder's roar and hid behind Midoriya.

Kaminari laughed. "That's what you get for messing with scary girls."

Arashi crossed her arms, "Hmph." Her purple eyes turned back to deep blue

Katsuki's tired red eyes still managed to glare at the two visitors.

"What are you..." The young man coughed several times before he could complete he sentence, "doing here?"

"Shut up, idiot. It's your fault you got sick." Arashi who was standing there with her arms crossed, spat out.

"You're the idiot. I'm fi--"

He started coughed.

"Goddamnit, Katsuki!"

Arashi ran up to him and made him sat up his bed. She rubbed his back.

"Bakugo, stop being stubborn and take this medicine." Iida stated.

"He's right, Kacchan. You need to get better."

Aoi's golden eyes started glowing. "He'll be fine either way."

She held both of her hands up at him and her hands started glowing. Soon enough, Katsuki's body glowed in a beautiful golden glow as well. The crowd gasped.

"Shit..." Katsuki muttered in a low voice. "You didn't have to be the one to ask her for help."

"Shut up." Arashi responded with a low voice as well. "It's my fault you got sick. How many times have I told you to not stay under the storm while I'm training?"

"I couldn't just leave you alone. What if something bad happens to you?"

"I can handle myself. You should watch out for yourself."

"I will watch out for myself if you do so as well"

"But I am..!"

"It's not enough!"

"Keep quiet. I need to focus."

Aoi's sentence ended the bickering of the two. Kirishima sighed in relief.

"I guess we got too worried for nothing." He smiled wryly.

"Yes, so glad we have a new hero on our side." Kaminari stated.

"Up until now, I'm really curious about how her Quirk works. Her healing doesn't seem to be like Recovery Girl's style. You won't feel fatigued after the healing, rather the opposite. And...." Deku started his nonstop self-mumbling habit.

"The healer told us to keep quiet." Iida stated. "Let's leave them alone so she can focus."

The crowd left and went to the dining hall, leaving only a few male students, Katsuki, Aoi and Arashi behind.

Shouto, who stayed behind, didn't leave. He couldn't leave. He couldn't take his eyes off of the mist blue haired healer. He even forgot that he was reading a book.

After more or less than half an hour, Katsuki completely recovered from the fever with Aoi's help. He stretched his body.

"I feel so refreshed!"

Arashi punched the side of his ribcage. Katsuki curled his body in pain.

"Now, don't you try to watch over me while I'm training, got it?"

"You can't tell me what to do!"

"She's right." Aoi stated. "I thought it was just a fever but the healing took a lot longer. You were really sick that sending you to the hospital was a reasonable idea if it wasn't for me."

"I hate agreeing with her, but you have to listen to her."

Katsuki scratched his head in frustration.

"Goddamnit..!"

"Then, Amezawa, I'll go to the dining hall. You persuade Bakugo-senpai."

"I'm about to do that! You don't have to order me around." Arashi glared at her.

Aoi didn't feel bothered at all and just walked towards the door. As she reached out to the door handle, her vision started seeing black smudges.

She paused, closing her eyes for a moment, as her head pounded terribly.

'Am I about to reach my Upper Limit?'

She asked herself in her mind. Fear started creeping inside her chest but she shook it off. It was then when she felt like someone was staring at her. She turned her head and saw him. Her eyes widen.

Shouto's face looked shocked. He must've seen her in pain a while ago.

Aoi hastily opened the door and left.
