III -- Not Alone

"Is this... me?" I asked Shin-kun as I stared at the girl in the mirror. We're currently inside the elevator, going down to the ground floor where the hospital garden is.

"Yep." he replied with a smile. He really loves to smile. I can't help but smile as well.

I continued staring at my reflection. It turns out that I have astonishing golden eyes and a long and straight pale-blue hair that reaches my hips. My petals lips were parted as I stared at myself in wonder. I can't help but say that I am indeed beautiful... Not to brag though.

So beautiful... Yet I can't even remember how I looked like.

"So beautiful, right?" Shin-kun stated, as if he's reading my mind.

I nodded slowly.

"Yet so forgetful." I felt my eye twitched at his comment. My reflection showed an irritated face. He laughed at me.

"Well, I'm sorry that I got caught in an accident." I replied, rolling my eyes. The elevator opened, and Shin-kun pushed my wheelchair gently.

Shouto-kun is so protective. He wouldn't let me walk around too much so I need to use the wheelchair. Even though Recovery Girl already helped me. Which makes me think.

"How did Recovery Girl helped me?" I looked up at Shin-kun.

"Oh that? It's because of her Quirk?" he replied.

"Quirk?"

"They are powers that humans have. It actually varies on different human beings. She has a Healing Quirk, which is very rare."

I nodded slowly, understanding his words.

"Actually, UA is a Junior High School Academy where you can use your Quirk." he added.

"Woah, then that means I have a Quirk as well?"

He smiled. "Yep."

"What is it?" I stared as his silver eyes looked at me. Once again, I've felt like he's looking deep to my soul. I felt myself quiver a bit.

He smiled brightly.

"Secret."

"Eh? Unfair."

He laughed again. I pouted and looked in front again. Shin-kun, he 's a pretty relaxed and carefree person, and loves to smile and tease people. That's all I know pretty much.

"What about your Quirk?" I asked him.

"Mine?" he asked back while taking a detour to the right.

"Yep."

"Not gonna ask Shou-kun's Quirk?"

I almost jumped in surprise.

"W-what are you talking about?!"

"You're blushing~ You just woke up from a coma and yet you're already interested in someone?

"I'm not interested--"

"Well, he is pretty handsome. Like a prince in an ancient kingdom. So noble looking, right?"

I felt my face heating up more, reaching my ears.

"J-just answer my question!" I exclaimed.

He laughed so hard.

"Ice and Fire."

"Huh?"

"His Quirk." He grinned.

"Shin!" I yelled, pulling myself up the wheelchair with the help of the hand. I reached out to grab his hair.

Only to cause the wheelchair to tilt in front of him,

And move.

I lost my balance as the wheelchair tilted forward. I shut my eyes closed... Not knowing what to do,

As I felt a pair of strong arms hold my back and under my legs, carrying me up.

I slowly opened my eyes.

And then held my breath.

When I saw his face so close to mine.

While he's carrying me in princess style.

My eyes slowly landed to his lips that's curved in a seductive smile. I sucked my breath.

"Be careful, next time." He whispered dangerously low. It sent shivers down my spine.

He put me down slowly, and I find it hard to stand properly. I feel so out of breath with his sudden words.

"Can you stand?" he asked, holding my waist.

I flinched.

"I c-can!" I blurted out in panic. He laughed.

"Don't be so jumpy!" he laughed more, letting go of my waist. I finally gained my balance... and my breath.

Is it just me or he's a sadist?

"Geez, Shin-kun..."

"You can call me Shin, if you want." he stated while still wearing that amused smile.

"Fine. Shin, let's go." I stated, walking away from him. I sat back down on my wheelchair when I found it and rolled the wheels.

"Hey~ Aoi! Wait for me!"

I ignored him and went on straight. Then I saw an open space surrounded by the hospital buildings. It has a large cherry blossom tree at the center with it's pink flower. On the ground were healthy grasses, spreading along like a beautiful carpet. There's a white metal chair and table, suitable for outdoors and benches on each corner.

I stopped my tracks.

This must be the hospital garden.

I carefully stepped out of my wheelchair and walked to the garden.

The wind suddenly blew and kissed my cheeks. It was pleasantly cold against my body. I hugged my arms, moving closer to the pink tree.

I stared at my footsteps. Feeling the wight of my body. I held the sleeves of my hospital gown, feeling the warmth of my own body. Few steps after, the sunlight reached my skin. It feels so unfamiliar yet so nostalgic. When I reached the cherry blossom tree, I lifted my hand and pressed it against the trunk.

I still have most of my knowledge. But I don't remember anything else. I can still figure out how to move my body but if feels so weird.

Is this how it feels like without memories?

I caressed the trunk, feeling it's rough uneven texture on the palm of my hand.

"There you are." I heard Shin's voice behind me.

I looked at him and gave a smile.

I'm not sure how should I live right now. What was I like. And what I should do from now on.

But I'm glad I'm not alone
