Chapter Twenty-Two

Third Pov.

Monday (Jon arrives...)

~~~
Bryan sighs as he dragged himself out of bed. He walked over to his closet to pull on his usual pokemon outfit onto himself. He grabbed his hat and grasped it with both hands as he contemplates wearing it.
Bryan sighs, crestfallen with his thoughts pulling him down, 'Maybe... If I dress less childish I could be respected more...? If I... If I act differently, would he no longer push me away...?' He thought. A growl ripped Bryan out of his thoughts. He looked around him and jumped to see Lumine and Veil on his bed behind him with murderous looks in their eyes.
"You shouldn't change your look Bryan. Not unless you want too, it's actually quite endearing; seeing as you love pokemon so much that you wish to embrace it in every part of your life! I'm actually surprised you haven't been making puns about it..." Lumine laughed, after a couple of chuckles he sobered up and looked at Bryan with a fearsome gaze.
"What I'm trying to say is-" Lumine was cut off by a deep growl and an almost hissing sound coming from Veil as he said "Wear your fucking pokemon crap loser, if you care about how an asshole think about you, then you should at least get the opinion from the right asshole."Veil points to himself before walking up to Bryan. "Jeeze, just put that damn hat on already. You look weird without it in that outfit." When the aforementioned male hadn't moved, Veil groaned in annoyance and pried the hat out of the originals hands and settled the article on his head.
With a small smirk on his lips, Veil backed away from Bryan with what Bryan swore looked like pride in his eyes. Bryan's chocolate orbs widened and tried to resist the force that the two au's used on his wrists as they try and pull him through the door. "Now go out there and show those fuckers what your made of. And no changing clothes idiot!" Veil yelled as he finally shoved Bryan through the front door after a fifteen minute struggle through the house.
Bryan grumbled out an irritated "Fine" before walking out the door. He may not have seemed like it, but Bryan was in much higher spirits and incredibly grateful to his two counterparts, who knew exactly what he felt.
~~~

Bryan breathed out slowly, eyes closed, trying to calm his mind from his racing thoughts.

Bryan hissed, 'again? That's the fifth time on my way here...' He rubbed his left arm. He couldn't tell where the pain is coming from; for as soon as the pain begins to resonate, it travels to a different place. It was different each time the pain came. The first became a headache, the second time the pain lingered at his chest, the third time it shot straight down to his foot. And the fourth time felt like a slash across his torso.

Bryan felt really confused, as the pain never stayed longer then a minute, almost like the curse was making him figure out what was wrong by giving clues.

Bryan shook his head in disdain before he plastered a smile and opened his restaurants doors.

Looking around the front lobby, Bryan finds nothing out of the ordinary. 'Looks like whatever this is, it's in the main area...' Bryan though before opening the right curtain.

"...." Bryan was stunned at what he is seeing. It had seemed no one saw him yet, so he once again climbed up to the risers, even though he was not supposed too, to watch the pandemonium continue.

"Why did you bring him if you knew he would do this!?" Michael yelled, for some reason he hasn't left yet. His hands where locked together in a zip tie and was trapped in one side of the room. He had yelled his question towards Jon; who was across the room from him, clutching his hair in stress.

"Because he would most likely blow up my restaurant if I didn't keep an eye on him?!" Jon shouted with a clear question and 'duh' tone in his voice and throwing both his hand towards the rampaging Fox, who seemed to be tackling, pulling, and hitting the other animatronics in a playful manner.

However, the fox didn't appear to control his strength. Therefore being the cause of Bryan's pain spouts.

"When does Bryan usually get here?" Jon shouted to the acting CEO.

"Around this time so he should be here soon!" Michael replied.

By this time both Micheal and Jon's cars have been placed inside the building. And a replica of Jon, that Bryan assumes is VJ, is knocked out on the main stage.

Baby is underneath a stack of tables that was created haphazardly with Helpy and Happy Frog.

Lefty was being stuffed into the trunk of Michael's car. And lastly Orville and Spring are locked in the storage room with... A Freddy model.

Bryan decided to wait until the crazed fox walked closer to him before jumping on top of him. Effectively bringing the red furball to the ground and knocking him out in the process.

Bryan stood up and brushed himself off before looking around him and saying "Hey guys! How's it hanging?" With a small smile and a wave towards his friends.

"Bryan?!" They all shouted, minus one unconscious VJ and the fox below the manager. Lefty, Orville, and Spring were muffled due to their current situation but none the less surprised.

"Yup, that's my name. Let's get everyone free first before we do anything else please? I really don't like how unstable that stack of tables look." Bryan stated, taking a pocket knife out of his back pocket and cutting the zip ties off of Michael.

Jon went to unlock the storage room whilst Micheal went over to the tumbling tables and Bryan walked over to the cars to free Lefty.

Jon opened the door and the three trapped animatronics made their way with Jon to help Michael move the tables. Bryan examined Lefty's situation and almost started laughing. Lefty was hogtied with iron chains but it was just his stomach that was exposed instead of his back. Lefty lifted his head slightly and looked at Bryan with a agitated gaze.

"Could you get me out of here please?" He asked dully.

"Yeah, yeah" said Bryan, who was trying not to laugh. Bryan unclipped the chains and Lefty climbed out of the trunk.

"So..." Lefty trailed, looking over to Jon and the others who were getting the tables down. "How do you feel about Jon being here?" He asked Bryan.

Bryan pouted his lips and replied, "I'm not really sure just yet, I miss him since he is my friend. But he also let a lunatic run rampant in my restaurant and place vehicles inside said establishment."

Lefty nodded his head, looking towards the explosive furball. "That is completely understandable."

Hey guys! Guaranteed chapter like I promised! Now the reason why I haven't uploaded- so... I have creative writing class. That I write for a lot. So the following was what I was assigned  when I was meaning to upload this. Keep in mind that this has not been completed yet even though I've already summited my assignment.

Once upon a time, there was a boy who lived in a cottage with his stepfather and his stepbrothers. His name was Laurence ‘Cinder’ Charles Fae. Laurence had gained his nickname, Cinder, from his family as he was constantly covered in soot from sleeping in the cinders, as was forced of him by his stepfather. Even though his stepfamily married into his own, they share the same last name as both Fae brothers had fallen for Laurence’s mother. Resulting in Edward Cornelius Fae to take up the opportunity of marrying the widowed love of his life.

  Sadly, Laurence’s mom had passed suddenly in the winter following their spring wedding. Mrs. Fae had an underlying condition of a weakened heart. With her heart sullen with grief, and a winter much harsher than any she had faced in her life, it was only a matter of time for her to be struck ill with cold and pass quietly in her sleep. It brought great pain to Laurence, as she was as graceful and kind in her life as was her name. The name Laurence’s was based on, and one he will forever treasure… Liliana Cecilia Rivers-Fae.

  After her passing, and once the sorrow had lessened, Laurence’s treatment had soured greatly from his stepfamily. He was a constant reminder of what Edward had lost, which had warranted anger from the man. Edward hated how the emerald green, olive-shaped eyes and wavey light brown hair represented Liliana. And what was worse was that he had seen his own brother in the boy! With the lightly natural tanned skin brought out Liliana’s celestial-like freckles that dust his cheeks. How his brother’s long limbs and natural muscular body transferred to the spawn. He hated that he was unable to create his own blood babe with Liliana and his… Bastard of a brother could! Edward couldn’t take the constant frustration, and as so, made Laurence a release for his anger. Edward forced Laurence to sleep in the cinders, warranting his nickname, and giving him chores that sometimes didn’t even need to be done! He had taken all of Laurence’s clothes and had given them to his two younger stepbrothers and given the poor boy rags to wear.

  The two stepbrothers, Gene Elkwood and Zane Morison Fae, held pity towards their elder brother and had let Laurence wear his old clothes while their father was out of the house. That is, until Laurence grew out of them in which Laurence had to convince the stepbrothers that he was fine with his current attire, so they shouldn’t risk punishment for sneaking him new clothes that were obviously too big for either of the two. The stepbrothers still felt bad, so they helped with the chores when Edward wasn’t paying attention, and even the tiniest action the two had done had helped Laurence tremendously.

  One day, when Edward had some business to go to in which he couldn’t bring his sons (lasting a week), Zane had gone to get the letters and parcels that his father tasked him to grab that morning. Zane had trekked through the forest that covered the land and reached the post office at last. “Hello Sir, I’ve come to pick up anything addressed to the Fae family.” Greeted Zane, the kind man running the store smiled gently at the youngest Fae son and had replied with a quick ‘One moment, please!’ before scuttling towards the back of the shop. Zane had not waited long before the shop keeper had come back with his arms full of letters and tan parcels. Zane had taken his satchel from around his side and placed it, open, upon the counter. “This is a lot of mail…” Zane said, slightly startled at the sight. “Well,” started the man, “there was an accident a while ago that had prolonged some of the mail carts so there was quite a hold up in both delivery and sorting.” The man finished, helping the younger male place the parcels in the bag. “It wouldn’t have anything to do with the new foreign delivery men, would it? I know that at least three times they had come up to me in search of direction and even then, they had not followed the roads that are safe by carriage, instead they had taken roads that where faster but where only accessible by foot.” Zane grumbled, recounting the moments he had seen carriages and horses tangled in vines and thorns pricking the poor steads in the shrubbery. The men being pricked and tied was well warranted in the eyes of many in The Eldridge Kingdom. No one had wanted these men, however, understood the Queen’s empathy in letting them take shelter and work in her lands. As news spread wide the tales of what happened to these men and women that now reside in Eldridge lands. These people from the lands of Sora, that had been torched to the ground by the kingdom of Volace. The Eldridge knew to be patient, and the Sora where great allies with them! They could soar the sky with their feathered wings which helped them enter their kingdom in the first place, a great natural defense that had surprised everyone of the nation when it had been destroyed. A kingdom, in which lied in the sky burning to the ground by the Volace, who were as much a land dweller as the Eldridge, made everyone weary. Thus, the acceptance of the Sora into the earthly kingdom.

  “Your intuition would be correct, young one! It appears they have yet not learned that trusting the wind for directions is traitorous as the wind weaves through the trees. Worry not, young Fae, a few have gotten familiar with the roads and plan to converse with their comrades as they had arrived too this humbled shop early for today’s delivery!” The old man smiled, a proud gleam in his eyes that sparked interest in Zane that was quickly stomped out as understanding washed over him. This man, as well as other post office keepers where in charge of training the feathered citizens. No wonder this man was so proud, it was probably an apprentice of his that was early for the days post. Zane smiled as well, as he was fascinated with the winged citizens that had joined their kingdom, and was glad that they are adjusting, no matter how slowly, to the kingdom. “Thank you for your help sir, have a swell day!” Said Zane, slinging the satchel’s strap across his shoulder, the bag heavy with mail. “You as well young Fae!” said the shopkeeper as Zane laughed at his family’s nickname. The people of Eldredge may look like ordinary people, but in their veins lye magic that thrums with the wilderness around then, as to why they keep the forest vast and sometimes even live within the trees if it would let them. The village that the Fae family lives by like to play with their last name as the Fae are whom they take after. It is why the Sora where such great allies with them, as the Sora made sure they never had drought as long as the Eldridge would give them the extra food they were granted through harvest. Winter was the only worry that everyone has to bear, the Sora had always conserved the rations given to them, as did the Eldridge, however no matter how fertile or careful you are, there is always a bad harvest, which had  led to Lilliana’s passing. Zane shuttered at the memory and decided to look through the mail as he walked, knowing the trails like the back of his hand as to not having any worries of stumble.

  One interesting letter, or shall he say scroll, caught his attention through his rummaging’s. The scroll was wrapped around a wooden bar with its holding cloaked in a leaf cloth engraved with daisy petals to make up the royal symbol. The symbol of Eldridge was a white rose that is viewed from above with a few petals in the middle making up the red interior of the rose. Surrounding the rose is a gold circle with a forest green interior and lime green vines that wrap around the circle. The leafy remake was startling to see on the wood, Zane had rolled the scroll in his hands until he saw the wax that held the parchment together. “Oh my…” he whispered, his words and thoughts trailing off, looking in conformation that it was real. With wide eyes, he sees the nations symbol sitting proudly in the angry wax, placing the scroll carefully back into his bag, Zane took off. Weaving through the trees and jumping over creeks, Zane ignored the dirt paths in order to quickly arrive at his dwelling. With labored breath, Zane had slammed the door open, he stumbled into the foyer ransacking his own bag in search for the royal letter. Gene and Laurence, who were taking a lunch break from the chores, stood quickly at the sight of their youngest brother. “Zane? Is everything okay?” Asked Gene, walking to the door and looking around wearily before closing and locking the door. Meanwhile Laurence tried to get closer to the youngest Fae who just moved away, still rustling through his satchel. Laurence looked a little hurt before Zane pulled the scroll out of the bag and shouted in glee and hugging Laurence. Zane pulled away only to give Laurence the letter, “This was in our mail!” started Zane, “I ran here as soon as I saw it, it’s still sealed, so read it aloud please!” He asked as he pulled Gene and Laurence to the couch to read the scroll.

  “Alright then,” Laurence opened the scroll and cleared his throat before starting, “‘Ladies and gentleman of Eldridge, we would like to invite you all to a ball to commemorate both our unity with the Kingdoms of Sora and to allow our eldest daughter to find a possible groom to be, weather Sora or Eldridge matters not. The ball will last the entire last week of October, so please make sure to keep yourselves warm. We hope to see you all there! ~The Raven family.’ Huh, so it seems to me that we need to get the two of you dressed properly, remind me again how Zane is almost 17...?” Laurence joked, which earned a light smack from the youngest. “Remind me how your only 19.” Grumbled the youngest while the 18-year-old laughed at the eldest’s comment. Zane just pouted lightly before laughing as well. Laurence smiled before it dropped when he started thinking of what his brothers should wear.

  Apparently, he was muttering as Gene had cleared his throat, his arms crossed with an eyebrow raised towards the eldest. Laurence shifted, uncomfortable in his brothers calculating gaze, before managing a “Yes?” Gene narrowed his eyes before saying “You better have been including yourself in those plans mister, there is no way Zane and I would be going without you.” Before Laurence could begin to protest, Zane had beaten him to the punch. “Gene is right, neither of us would want to leave you behind, and even if Father drags us there, we will find a way to leave.” Zane stated, determination gleaming in his eyes. Laurence, and even Edward, learnt that when the two didn’t want to do something, there was no way of stopping them. Laurence sighed before including himself in the design process. Unlike himself, his two brothers have Black hair. Zane had ice blue eyes while Gene had chocolate brown orbs. Gene was granted with tall genes and was slim, which allowed him to be nimble and quick, he has muscles, just as Laurence does, just not as prominent as the eldest’s, especially with his pale complexion. Zane was lean and pale, such as his elder brother, but was shorter than the two of them were at his age, Zane was the fastest out of the three of them for his slim build. Zane didn’t really have any muscle as he was more focused on academics and loved to explore. The three of them agreed that Zane would be wearing a black circus leader vest to match his raven hair and to contrast against his pale skin, which should be noted is paler than Gene’s, with a yellow vine stitch around the waist to the two tails of the vest. Along with a vermillion orange undershirt to brighten his eyes, the pants and boots will be plainly black. With Gene’s charcoal hair, they went with a grey suit as to brighten up his dark features. Gene’s undershirt was decided to be a deep marron to try and compliment his eyes whilst contrasting the grey, he has a matching maroon handkerchief that will be tucked into the chest pocket of his suit coat and black dress shoes to finish it off. Laurence’s suit will be a plain beige, with a ruby red undershirt and black dress shoes. In his pocket will be an emerald handkerchief with his mother’s family crest engraved in a golden silk. The three boys worked the entire week free in a mix of creating the cloths and finishing the long list of chores assigned by their father.

  Meanwhile, with The Raven family.

~~~
  Esterella ‘Cinderella’ Lilly Raven was in a panic. She oversaw not only the ball, but also in making the dresses for her and her younger sisters. She had no qualm with it until everything went wrong. Now, this may seem a bit overdramatic to anyone who hears it, but imagine being told that she not only has to account enough food for her kingdom but also for the survivors of the Sora fire, and on top of that, the dresses she had made where torn to shreds by a few stray cats that had been scared into clawing the dresses onto higher ground. Thirdly, her mother is trying to set her up with men when she clearly does not find interest in them. Ella knew she needed to calm down and take a breather before she made any hasty decisions. So, she had walked away from the surprisingly homey palace with a plain leaf dress adorned on her and a light brown satchel lied upon her shoulder. She took a deep breath before starting on her path to Riverbrook village, a village Ella found home in, which surprised her at times.  Lately, a lot of the Sora had moved into this village, so it was welcomed with open arms that the only princess of the kingdom that has wings favored the village that had those with her blood. A long time ago, someone of the royal family of Sora had fallen in love with an Eldridge citizen. Their offspring held both the Sora wings and the Eldridge forest magic. With this shared blood, the bond grew closer between the two lands. Even if Ella wasn’t a royal, it wouldn’t have mattered to the Sora as their royalty was only appointed as so if they led the kingdom kindly and hopefully in prosperity. The Sora are realist and know that not every ruler could make the land proper, it’s just not possible. So, seeing the joint blood of the two kingdoms was prideful for the feathery denizens. It made sense that Ella’s family name was Raven, as it was her late father that held the feathery blood.
  Ella was brought out of her thoughts with a shake of her head, she had wanted to grab more cloths to remake the ruined dresses. She walked into the tailor shop and was greeted with the bell signaling a new costumer and a bright young lady with rainbow colored feathers. “Hello! How may I help you today? Wow, aren’t you an unusual one, albino, right? You are so pretty!” Ella blushed as she wrapped her wings around her slightly in embarrassment. As the Soran had said, she was an albino, a rarity even amongst the Sora. Her hair and feathers where as white as fresh snow and her eyes as blue as ice, here skin was almost as white as her feathers but not quite as to still vainly try and hide her veins. Her blush prominent through her freckles. “T-thank you! I’m just here to gather some cloth for three dresses, Vermillion Orange for my youngest’s sister’s brown hair and light blue eyes, her skin is tannish, just light enough to pull off the color. My middle sister’s black hair and brown eyes needs a garnet red dress while I myself need an eggplant color please!” Ella asked. The employee quirked an eyebrow whilst searching for the requested colors. “You have quite an eye there young fledgling. You would do well in the fashion business if you ever wish of it.” The bird-hybrid said, gathering silks and cottons from various places. Ella laughed before saying, “I don’t think I can work in such field, thank you though! Oh, would you mind grabbing a couple of yards of white cotton please? And I will need a spool or two of lace as well.” Ella remembered, calling out to the woman. The employee laughed and had asked “What kinds of dresses are you making with these?” Ella looked at her thoughtfully before replying “Ballgowns for me and my sisters, I’m in charge of the dresses and the ball In October.” This gave the elder woman a little shock, “Your princess Cinderella?!” exclaimed the woman. Ella laughed lightly while nodding. Even though The Albino’s wings where supposed to be fully white, the ends of her feathers had a golden touch which was a clear sign of the Soran royal blood. The Soran woman preened and examined the feathers a little closer upon realization before clearing her throat and blushing in embarrassment about her behavior.
  The woman had grabbed the proper amount of material after a little while of conversing. “Thank you for the help ma’am!” Ella said. “No problem! Have a great day young Raven, may the gowns turn out well!” Ella thanked the Sora employee once more before walking out of the store taking in a deep breath of fresh air and enjoying the sun’s speckled rays through the leaves. With her wings spread, she flaps them lightly before taking off. Careful of avoiding branches during her accent, Ella smiles and cheered happily before finally emerging above the flora. Ella faces the castle before zooming through the air in the direction of her homestead.
  Ella landed in front of the castle gates, as mandatory for identification otherwise they would be deemed as an intruder if they weren’t wearing a golden sash; and greeted the guards kindly before taking flight once more and flying towards her terrace. Landing gracefully, Ella swiftly entered her room through two mahogany and glass doors. Just like the rest of the Eldridge, the palace was outwardly made of wood, with intricate tree root designs lining the outer walls and even the doors as she had just came through, however the castle was also made from a thick fire resistant concrete interior as to safeguard against their fiery enemy. This precaution was the first thing thought about when the kingdom was made, as it was obvious of their natural enemy. So, the first rulers of the land made sure that the castle was large enough, including basements, to safeguard any amount of people in case of a fiery attack. This led to a sometimes-cold touch to the otherwise homely castle to Esterella. Ella brushed off the thought and changed into a more formal gown of a floral design, it was a white-based gown with a lilac four petal design that when she twirled, it looked like a flower, the waist up was dusted with light blue sparkles finishing off with a lilac silk ribbon with a light blue flower tied around her neck. Slipping on some black flats and folding her wings before heading out of the room to greet her mother.
  Ella made her way through the corridors towards the throne room, held in her hand is the changes made and the solutions to a few arising problems concerning the ball. There were actually a lot more problems than she had first realized. She needed to make the floorplan more open since the amount of people and that a lot of them will be flying. So the earthly magic the Eldredge possess must be used to make tables both on the ground and higher up in the air while still looking appealing, which will be done by tree pillars that will intertwine their branches to hold up the lights that will illuminate the ballroom with a mixture of fairy lights and glowing flowers. An assortment of food will be brought to the tables by Soran and Eldridge waiters and waitresses periodically as to not take up any room by having a buffet table. Ella decided to leave it simple as to provide comfort and room over décor. At least, that was her overall plan, she realizes that people will be constantly bugging her throughout the day for pesky details that she is required to answer, such as what pattern the wings on the fairy-winged wine glasses should be put out which is redundant as each glass is different, seeing as they are fairy wings. Esterella swears that the advisors have never read Eldredge lore. The lore of the land is what they really call its history, seeing as the other lands consider lore, mere myths, it had become an accidental code of sorts. One that the advisers never took seriously. Esterella almost hit one of them one day for their ignorance and had been severely punished for even attempting it.
I hope you enjoyed it and have an amazing 24 hour period!
Phionex out~
