War
*Rachel's POV*
Rage.
That's all I could feel.
At first, it was anger, fear, worry, then rage took over.
I fought it at first, but then I realized I needed it. The voices in my head said otherwise, but what do they know?
They're dEaD.
I fought, landed quite the blast to Soundwave's helm. Cracked his visor. I don't think he will be getting up for a while. When I left the portal, Megatron dared to try and send Optimus to the Allspark.
That dumb aft.
It was easy work to dash over there and stop his blade. It was even easier to lift him and toss him aside like the chew toy he was. My chest was burning, as if fire was welling up inside of me and it needed to be let out.
Who else would be a better target than the Decepticon warlord that dared to use my kind for his tyranny.
With graceful ease, I launch myself off the chassis of the Prime. He was safe for now, and a much larger picture lay before me. A seeker and his beloved leader. Just as the latter of the two finds his footing, I stretch out my palms and slam into his chest. I feel the cybermatter slightly cave, and with hyper speed, I flip my body over to kick him away. Swiftly I land on the ground, kneeling to cushion the impact as to not break this fragile body. Even with this armor on, I was still surprisingly breakable, and that would not be good.
Something moves.
My ear twitches at the softest sound behind me.
With ease I drop backwards, gazing up as the clawed servo feebly scratches at the air where I was previously standing. Leaning against these cLawleSs haNds, I push my legs up into a handstand and kick at the arm's missile. As my foot meets the end of it, the metal on metal contact ignites it and I quickly finish the back handspring. Landing on my feet, I turn and quickly rush around the one called Starscream as he panics and fires the projectile so the explosion does not rid him of his arm.
It erupts a few feet before him.
Right in the face of Megatron.
Said leader roars in pain and stumbles backwards. The seeker in front of me panics and begins to step backwards.
WrOng ChOicE
As I climb his leg, I hear the explosion, muffled by the seeker's ped, and his cries of pain follow. They calm the raging fire in my chest a bit, but not much. I nEEdeD mOrE.... I could hear a voice calling out for me.... Was it in my head? Was it real? I couldn't tell, I was only focused on one thing.
I had reached Starscream's other arm. My hands latch on to his last missile and I wrench it off his wrist. I feel his helm turn towards my location, but it didn't matter now. It was too late. I was rushing back up his arm, explosive in hand. He swipes at me with his good servo, but I easily slide beneath his attack. The WeAkLinG. However, I reach up my sErvO at the last minute and wrap it around his last smallest digit. As he swipes away, I use the momentum to launch me in the air, away from another explosive that wE had slipped between the plating near Starscream's elbow.
I only hear his torMenTed screAms of aGoNy, which fuel the burning passion to KILL KILL KILL inside of me. My eyes lock onto the optics of my current victim, who I was free falling towards. They were wide and shining a bright, glowing, soft cyan blue. I raise the missile above my head. My left SerVo heats up, nearing the ignition port at the end of the projectile. I feel the rage boil over inside of me and fuel each movement. I wAs gaIniNg CONTROL.
kILl...
KiLl..
KILL.
KILL!!
"Rachel!"
Time slows, and I blink in mid air. The rage is suddenly consumed by a wave that crashes down on top of it, smothering the flame at the sight of large optics filled with fear watching me carefully. I blink again, and my eyes adjust to see that my target was a large, wounded, blue and red mech.
Optimus?
My eyes widen, and I twist in the air. I ignite the projectile with the palm of my left hand and launch it back towards the Decepticons blindly. A servo carefully catches me mid air, and I growl. I hold my head, a voice screaming in protest. Another in my mind was battling it for who was louder. My eyes are slammed shut. My hands grasp my skull, and I hear another voice trying to reach out to me, but the pain.
The urge.
It was still there!
KillKillKill
All I wanted to do!
But Optimus? I couldn't! Never! He saved my life! He saved Raf's life-
He killed your father.
My eyes open wide, but I slam them shut once more and roar back at the voice.
It was an accident! He couldn't have stopped it!
But you don't believe that, do you?
It doesn't matter! I can't change the past! He's fighting to save our planet, and I want to help him.
No.... No, you don't.
My breathing hitches.
You want to help yourself.
I growl, ignoring my surroundings. Something was going on, something was happening. Explosion were making my body get jostled around, but that didn't matter. I nearly killed Optimus Prime, and I had to stop it now.
You can't stop me, child.
I dig my nails into my skull. Warmth slightly seeps onto one hand.
Sooner or later, you will let me out.
You don't have a choice.
I am stronger.
I will win.
I roar in agonizing pain as images flood my vision. Pictures of myself standing over the lifeless husk of each Autobot. Energon slowly flows from their wounds into the dirt below, coating the earth in a soft blue glow.
You will never be strong enough.
Next, I see the Decepticons, ruined piles of scrap underneath energon covered claws. My energon covered claws. I gaze down at them, growling.
You are weak. It is only but a matter of time.
You will release me.
You have no choice.
And I will kill everyone until only predacons walk this world.
However, this voice does one mistake. A vision stops with my claws over the body of young Rafael. Blood coats the razor sharp claws, but the boy still gasps for air. I feel my body tense, my breathing hitch, and a new rage start to build in my chest. Raf suddenly changes to Jack.
My brother.
His face was scarred, scratched and burned. One eye was open wide, staring at me, pleading for me to stop.
No.
To finish it.
Get it over with.
He was in so much pain.
Kill him.
...... no.
Kill him!
no.
KILL HIM!
"ENOUGH!"
My eyes open wide to reveal a few familiar faces. Jazz is lying on the floor of my mind, wounded and steaming from burns. Onyx Prime was gazing over the scene with mixed emotions. None of which I could read. However, there was a new person among my thoughts.
The Predacon.
He was standing to the side, his optics closed tight in aggravation and irritation. He growls once he opens them, and their piercing yellow gaze falls on me. "How?! You are a weak fleshling that crushes easily under ped! You cannot defy me!"
I glare at him, and he visibly flinches. I feel a growl form in my throat. I take a step towards him. "You threatened them. My friends. My family!" I unknowingly raise my fist as I approach and this creature seems to gawk at me. "You dare strike me?"
"Oh, I dare."
With that, I drop my fist on his helm, and it releases a satisfying crack. The creature roars in pain and stumbles back. He crashes to the ground, claws holding the sensitive area where a dent is visible. His optics widen, and they fall on me once more. I see confusion, fear, and complete disbelief flow through them.
"How-"
"Shut it. Just shut it right now. I don't care what you think, who you are, or why you think you can just take my body and harm those I care about." I take a step towards him and he lunges. His jaws are wide and I can count each denta, however...
Not a single ounce of fear is in me.
His jaws start to encase me, and I raise one arm up. I grip his upper jaw in my hand, grimacing slightly as a denta slashes against the side of my palm. I slam a leg down on his lower jaw, pinning it to the ground. A whine escapes him, and I growl. It starts to grow warm, and I hear Jazz shout. "Rachel, watch out!"
Before I can move, I spot the orange glow in the back of his throat and fire suddenly consumes my vision. It engulfs me entirely, and yet I feel no pain. As it dies down, I reopen my eyes. My clothing was gone and all that was left was my armor. It was glowing a soft orange and blue lines of energon flew through the cracks of it. My eyes shine brightly, I can see their reflection in his wide open jaws.
With a growl, I step out of his jaws and yank down on his upper jaw, slamming it down. As he rises with a screech, I slam my foot down on his muzzle. He whines in pain, and I glare at him.
"Silence."
He quiets down, and I growl. "You will not attempt anything like that again. I don't care what happened to you. After the stunt you just pulled, you will keep silent." I lean in close. "You want to kill for the mass genocide on your kind, your family, and then you try to do the same to me. You try to make me kill my family, my friends, my kind."
The predacon's optics widen as he considers this, and I growl. "Now, you will stay silent until you think about what you just tried to do. With your grammar and vocabulary, I believe you to be quite smart. So, think... Then speak." As he doesn't move, I narrow my eyes a slowly lift myself from his face and step back. "You are in my body. My mind. This is not your place, your planet, or your time any longer. We must cooperate and coexist.... or we die. Your choice."
The creature glares at me, then slowly raises his helm. He seems to judge me for a moment, then turns his gaze to Jazz, then Onyx, whose face was watching this with a very obvious expression now.
Pride.
I smirk at him, but my gaze turns back to the predacon. He gazes at me at well, then sits back. He nods his helm. "You were right, my lord. She is, indeed, the one."
I stare, dumbfounded at him, then glare at Onyx. I turn back to the predacon, then to Jazz, who looks just as amazed. I looked back to Onyx and scream. "A test?! Seriously! That's the kind of test you run to see if I'm qualified?!"
Jazz shakes his own helm as I walk over to him. I slip behind him and push him up until he is sitting up straight with a hiss of pain. "I needed to make sure you were strong enough to withhold the instincts of a predacon, fully sentient or not."
Even Jazz seems perturbed as I walk around the front of him to get a good look at the damage. Surprisingly, it was already healing, just at an incredibly slow rate. He turns towards Onyx Prime. "Ya could have at least warned me for tha beat down, ya know?" The Prime shakes his head. "I did not know if you were connected to Rachel enough that had you been prepared, she would never have noticed."
My eyes widen. The voice.... The one I heard earlier. "Jazz.... Did you call out for me?"
The silver mech gazes at me, then nods. "Yeah, I did. I tried to warn you that this freak was tryin' to control ya." I nod my head. "It makes sense. I hold your spark in my chest, while I only hold a piece of the predacon," I rub my chin and begin to pace around in my mindscape. "Having Jazz's spark, I hold literally everything about him, even what his processor held since your spark is who you are. However with the predacon, you had no way of knowing who it was or how sentient it would be once awoken by the energon."
When I gaze up again, I see the pride swell in Onyx's features again and the predacon merely nods his helm. "Indeed, and I beg forgiveness for my actions. I do wish for revenge for the destruction of my kind, even if we were merely clones, but your friends were not the cause of it." He growls and his optics narrow. "It was that blasted warmonger Megatron." I nod at him and huff. "We all hate the guy," I jab a thumb towards Jazz. "He tore this guy in two, is probably the one who sent Optimus flying into.... the building... and he's taken the lives of many. So, get in line for his aft kicking."
The creature chuckles, but Onyx's tone suddenly becomes serious. "We have held you for too long, young one. Return once more, tell the others you are okay. We will speak again soon." I quickly nod, but turn to the predacon. "Hey! Did you have a name? I hate just calling you predacon." The predacon thinks about this for a moment, then shakes his helm. "I do not. Would you like to give me one?" A smile breaks across my features. "How about Broadwing?" He considers this, then nods. "My name shall forever be known as, Broadwing."
Suddenly, lights flood my vision and I close my eyes. Voices softly echo over the ringing in my ears. It's all muffled at first, then slowly I begin to make out one voice. "She's coming to! Rachel, can you hear me? Do you recognize my voice?"
Ratchet.
I groan and raise an arm to swat the light away. "'M fine, doc. I'm awake.... Just.... Sore." Ratchet 'harrumphs', but lowers the light. "You are far from okay. Your neural readings were off the charts, and your bio signature was shifting between human and cybertronian." I groan and slowly sit up. "Where's.... Where's Prime? Optimus? Oh Primus, Ratchet, where is he?!" I feel panic fill my spark as I recall what had happened before my battle with the predacon.
Ratchet quickly calms me down, covering my shaking form with his servo. "Relax, Rachel. You stopped yourself from doing any harm to him. He is fine." I gaze up at the doc with worried eyes. "So I did attack him...."
Ratchets optics widen, but he nods solemnly. "However, you were able to contain yourself and saved Optimus instead. But, you should be resting right now. We can discuss what happened later."
At that I violently shake my head. "N-No. I need to see Optimus." The doc starts to protest, but I sit up and glare at him. "I will rest once my own two eyes make sure the Optimus Prime is okay, Ratchet!" Before another word is spoken, heavy pedsteps echo into the hangar. I turn my gaze up to spot the Prime himself slowly walking towards us.
His optics fall on me and relief washing over his features for only a moment. "I am fine, Rachel. There is no need to worry." I huff and slowly slide off my gurney. Didn't know we had a human sized one yet.... I shake it off and send a glare towards Ratchet as he starts to speak against my movements. Carefully, I walk over to the edge of the platform where Optimus had stopped his walking. I gaze up at his faceplates. Quickly, I gaze back down at his chassis, the fire paint fading from too many battles. Without thinking anymore, I quickly attempt to wrap my arms around his massive chest in a hug. I feel him tense up in shock before his spark beat slows. Tears threaten to fall down my face, and they only do when I feel a servo scoop me off the metal walkway and hold me close to his spark chamber.
"I'm so sorry, Optimus. I-I n-never wanted to...."
The Prime sighs, and i feel another servo cup my back, as if he was trying to hug me, or at least comfort me. "All is forgiven, Rachel. You do not need to worry." I could feel the honesty of his words, but I could also feel his worry. I shake it off for now, and take a deep breath. Finally, I feel my closed eyes relax a bit more, and a soft rumble alerts me to movement. I didn't care where we were going, all I cared about was Optimus Prime being okay.
Now to hold up my end of the deal with Ratchet. It's time to rest.
