Unknown Allies

As Rachel and Raf enter the building, Raf closes and locks the door while Rachel cautiously moves towards the large living room. "H-Hello?" She says, turning the corner to gaze where the light had come from. Raf creeps up behind her and gazes over her shoulder. A tall man with unbrushed brown hair stands straighter and gazes at them. "Hi guys... Name's Sam."

Raf and Rachel's jaws drop.

The boy smiles slightly. "Guess you know who I am...." He shoves his hands in his pockets and rocks back on his heels. "So... You're probably wondering wh-"

"Sam Witwicky...." Rachel states bluntly and walks forward. "That explains how you knew everything." She glares at him, and he takes a step back. "They are after you, aren't they?" He raises his hands. "N-Now hold on. You kept asking questions a-and I answered them!" He gazes at Raf, eyes pleading for help. The younger boy stutters in. "R-Rache..... We asked for this. He only helped us! You can't blame him for the government catching on."

Rachel only glares at Sam, then huffs. Turning around, she walks towards a room similar to a kitchen. She opens up the old fridge, and smiles. Reaching in, she wraps her hand around a cold glass bottle. It was her favorite soft drink. "At least you remembered what to pack the fridge with." She easily cracks the lid off on the counter side, then walks towards another door. Pushing it open, she reveals a room that contrasted against the rest of this run down shack.

It was decked out in the latest tech and had a large energon reader laying on a table to the side. Attached to it were multiple wires and desk tops, along with a set of speakers. Three chairs were placed at each station, and the girl grins. She easily slides into the first chair which sat before three large screens. "Let's get to work, boys. I'll get the firewalls and H.A.P. protections up. Sam," She swivels in the chair, her voice full of authority. "You know the most about these guys, and since you are helping us, you can't get back to them... Can you?"

Sam shakes his head. "They keep saying I can't help, like I'm useless or something! I'm tired of it!" Rachel smirks at that. "Good. I need you to get on that computer," She gestures to the monitor next to hers. "Raf is going to use the energon reader we, uh, 'borrowed'," "Stole-" "To track it's last energon reading. You are going to use the coordinates he sends you to find out the location. While you wait, you can surf the net to see if any more appearances have happened and try to track the locations of each video." She quickly turns back to her area and takes a large gulp of soda.

"Meanwhile, I'm going to hack back into N.E.S.T.'s network and-" Rachel feels a hand latch onto her chair. "Wait, wait, wait. You've hacked into N.E.S.T.?!" Same yells, and Raf can barely hold in a laugh. He turns towards the other boy, who simply states. "It's easy. You just have to know the right firewalls to break to distract the system and hidden access points to take advantage of while the system attacks the false attack."

Sam's eyes widen, and he turns back to Rachel, who huffs. "Who'd ya think you were helping? Girl scouts?" She quickly removes his hand and turns back to her station. "Now get to work! We don't have much time."

Baffled, Sam sits down and does as he's told. With in minutes, all three are working together as if they had always done this. Raf says a few things to Sam, and Sam relays to Rachel, who nods and types up something on one of her screens. For hours they are at this, the sun slowly drifting down the sky until finally...

"Woah!"

Raf launches backwards in his chair, startling everyone else. He stands and looks at the two, who eye him, then the device questioningly. "It lit up and made a noise!" Rachel, confused, gasps as it makes another beep...... Then another. Slowly, the noise gets faster. In a flash, she rushes over and yanks out out a plug that connected it to a speaker. Turning towards the two guys, her eyes wide, she softly says, "Wicky.... Find that last coordinate.... NOW!" She shouts the last part to get the boy to finally move, and his fingers fly over the keyboard. "U-Uh.... It's...." His hands stop, and he turns to her, his eyes now wide as well.

"Right outside."

Rachel freezes, and Raf lets out a soft gasp before quickly unplugging everything but Rachel's computer. Blinking, the girl quickly flies over to her station, slapping back down into her chair so much that it glides right back to her desk. With ease, her fingers fly, entering commands and data into a storage device currently plugged into the mainframe.

Slapping enter, she reaches down and yanks out the USB. "Raf, now!" The boy quickly shoves a disk into the tower below the desk. Grabbing Sam, who was watching in shock in his chair, Rachel dashes out of the room, following Rafael towards the kitchen. The younger boy reaches down and presses a button under the fridge.

Suddenly, the rug in the kitchen slides to the side to reveal a door. Rachel releases her charge and throws open the door. "We have 60 seconds before the rug replaces itself. Go!" Raf is the first to enter, followed by a bewildered Sam. "You guys thought of everything, didn't you?" Rachel shakes her head, then pushes him faster. "Not everything!" Quickly following, she shuts the door and waits.

It feels like an eternity until she hears the gears quietly move the rug back over the door. Silently, she reaches up, latches and locks the only way in. Raf, having turned on the light on his phone, points it towards Sam. The older boy gazes at the two. He was now trapped underground, surrounded by mud covered walls, with two criminal, computer genius, college kids. He asks the only thing on his mind to break the silence. "S-So.... what was that disk that y'all... put in there?"

Rachel, having turned on her flashlight, walks past him. "A Trojan horse mixed with a worm in case they try to bypass the Trojan horse," She taps against the wall. It sounds solid. "Then we get all the info on them," She moves and taps against the wall once more. Still a solid sound rings out. "Mixed in is a bot that is set to re-write itself after each attempt to uninstall it or remove the firewall protecting it." One last tap on the wall gives off an echo and she grins. Reaching around it, she digs her hands into the dirt. "The bot infects the users computer or phone, both if it," She grunts as she lifts up, removing a whole chunk of wall. "Is Bluetooth connected or connected through an app."

The 'chunk of wall' was actually pieces of wood nailed together and covered in mud. Shining her light into the opening, she reaches in and grabs out two bags of chips and another bottle of her favorite soda. Tossing one bag at Sam, who barely catches it in shock, she grabs another and hands it to Raf. Reaching into her pocket, she pulls out a bottle opener and cracks open the soda.

Quickly, Raph opens the bag of chips, and he motions for Sam to do the same. "No footsteps or anything has been heard above yet. If you want to eat, I'd suggest you do it now!" Rachel had already opened her and Sam swiftly obliges. After a while, the team sits down, leaning against the walls that surround them.

After a while, Raf's breathing evens and his eyes fall shut. Sam soon follows, leaving Rachel barely awake. It had gotten late even when they were upstairs, but now it felt like it had been hours since they got down here. She glances at her watch. "Forty minutes?..... Huh...." She leans her head back against the wall once more, and shuts her eyes.....

Clank, Clank!

Rachel's eyes fly open.

Thud!

She slowly sits up, gazing at the wooden door above them. Soft footsteps echo around, and she places a hand against her mouth. Oh my God they had actually found them. She was trying to keep her breath steady, but despite her strong behavior, she was terrified. She didn't really want to go to jail, but she wanted answer.

Straight answers.

Raf's body shifts, and Rachel quickly slides over to him and slams her hand against his mouth. He moves, but makes no sound as his wide eyes stare at his friend. She places a finger of her mouth, then points up. As if on cue, footstep radiate from directly above them, along with a muffled voice.

"Clear.... No one's here.... Looks like they...."

The voice dies off as the footsteps leave, accompanied by another set. Both young adults turns their heads upward, but a sigh makes Rachel's snap to the side. Sam had shifted in his sleep, and she launched herself at him as his eyes fluttered open and he began to speak. "What's g- AGH!"

Her hand can't cover his mouth quickly enough, and she risks shushing him aloud. "Shut up!" She whispers, panic flooding her as the footsteps increasingly grow louder. A muffle voice echoes again, this one younger. "They might be outside. Optimus! Perimeter?"

Sam's eyes seem to widen while looking at the floorboards. Rachel's head tilts, gazing at him questioningly. Sam removes her hand from his mouth, and he quietly whispers. "They have Optimus with them?!" Rachel eyes him quizzically, but he continues. "The hell did you guys do? He's the-," He takes a breath. "He's the leader of the Autobots!" His voice seems to rise at the last part, and he slams his own hand over his mouth.

Rachel turns to Raf, who only shrugs in response.

Suddenly, the footsteps hurry away, and a door slams shut. A loud engine rumbles, then seems to dissipate as the vehicle drives away.

After waiting for exactly thirty minutes, Rachel reaches up and quietly unlocks the door. She pushes up slowly and peeks out. No feet or any headlights lit up the area, and the sun was setting. No shadows were cast behind her. She opens the hatch a little more, then finally, she motions for them to follow as she crawls out of the hole. However, she stays low and creeps towards a window. Gently, she moves a curtain and gazes out. Spotting nothing, she sighs and stands.

Stretching, she turns to Sam and Raf, and nervously laughs. "W-Well... that was.... exciting...." Sam seems to be staring through her, and her blood runs cold as an engine roars to life behind her. Slowly, she turns and spots a police car, lights flashing and engine rumbling. However, a small difference was noticed by Rachel. It had a weird face symbol on it, along with 'to punish and enslave' on the side instead of normal writing.

However, Sam's shout makes her turn. "I-It's a Decepticon!" Raph and Rachel eye him carefully. "A what?!" Turning back towards the window, Rachel watches the vehicle carefully, then gasps.

No one was in the driver's seat.

Before she can move, the doors of the vehicle seem to split on each side and reveal large missiles. Eyes wide, Rachel quickly rushes towards Raf. "Run! Out the back window! Run!" She runs into the office room and picks up a chair. She throws it at the window, which shatters in an instant. As they quickly jump out, she hears a hiss, then whistle.

Then everything seems to go quiet.

Rachel shuts her eyes in shock as she feels her body slightly grow weightless before her back slams against the ground. Gasping for air, she slowly sits up, holding her head. Her ears were ringing, but a familiar face rushes in front of her. She blinks as her eyes focus, and she gazes at Sam confused. He was yelling something, but she couldn't hear it. Raf appears behind him, yelling something as well, but nothing was making it through to her. Sam pulls her up onto her feet, and she turns towards the house while being basically dragged away.

Standing in the ruins of the old shack was a large, black and white robot with red eyes glaring in their direction.

Eyes wide, she turns and flails her hands against Sam's grip on her and takes off running in the opposite direction. When she turns again, she spots the large thing rushing at all three of them.

As her hearing returns, she can hear the crushing trees as the huge metal beast barreled through the trees. The three tiny humans move their legs as fast as possible, praying and hoping that something would save them.

Breaking the treeline, Rachel spots the road before them and gasps at the sight of a familiar eighteen wheeler towing a large trailer. It was the one she had passed earlier that same day on the highway. Except this time....

It was barreling directly at them, honking its horn.

Upon closer inspection, Rachel notices that this particular vehicle also has no driver.

As she nears the vehicle, it doesn't slow and just as it passes her, she can hear metal shifting and scraping against itself along with tires squealing against the pavement.

Curiosity forces her to turn her head as she runs, and she barely catches a glimpse of a large red and blue bot crash into the other one. It seems to recover easily, and it's hand flips into a large canon. It releases a blast, then turns towards the group. "Sam! Keep going! Bumblebee is just ahead!"

This makes Rachel slow to a stop and turn. She was completely facing the fight now as the other bot had stood and charged, despite a burnt indention in it's shoulder. The red and blue mech turns and grunts as it takes the full force of the rush in its chest.

Sam reaches out and grabs Rachel, dragging her along. "Come on! Run!" Slowly, Rachel begins to run, then she picks up the pace. Another noise, this one an engine, steadily grows until a yellow and black striped Chevy Camaro slides to a stop. The doors facing the group fling open, and, once again, no driver. However, Sam slows enough to fall behind Rachel and shoves her into the passenger side. He keeps pushing her until she sits behind the wheel, and he yells as soon as Raf makes it in.

"Drive, Bee! Go, go go!"

Before Rachel can even place her feet anywhere, the vehicle roars and takes off. The steering wheel turns on its own and everything was happening by itself. Rachel, slowly starting to calm, turns to Sam. She wants to say a lot of things, but nothing is coming out of her mouth. She was still panting, and her eyes were wide.

Sam only huffs for air, then gazes out the back window. Raf follows and so does Rachel. Behind them was the same Peterbuilt eighteen wheeler.... and smoke emitting from the forest behind them. They barely spot a police car drive off in the opposite direction.

Sam sighs, and slides back into his seat. Rachel faces the road in front of her, then the steering wheel. She gently rubs the face symbol implanted in the center. She had seen that before, on the trailer and.... her car's steering wheel.

Sam notices this and smiles.

"Rachel, Raf, say hello to Bumblebee. My Autobot Guardian."

As if on cue, the car emits a applauding noise from the radio and says "Thank you, thank you, you shouldn't have." But, it was a recording from a show Rachel had seen before. She turns to Sam. "Autobot?"

Sam nods. "Y-Yeah... th-the good guys. Decepticons are the bad guys. That guy back there," He gestures behind them. "That was a bad guy. You're just lucky Optimus and Bee were around."

Rachel gulps.

She was waaaaay in over her head....

But at least she was finally getting her answers.....
