Enemies in High Places...

Before she knows it, the boat pulls into the elusive 'hidden' island. It was, as she suspected, a large military base. It was swarming with helicopters and soldiers and....

Very, very large Autobots.

Right at the front was a large yellow bot with what seemed like red stripes. They mimicked that of a heartbeat. She assumed he was the medic of these metal beasts. Along side it pulls up a very familiar car, and this causes Rachel to rush towards the side of the ship that was starting to parallel itself with the port. She gazes over at it, completely ignoring the large yellow bots intimidating stare.

She slightly smiles, pushing down the irritation. He had been very kind to let her do the driving earlier with a name like 'Sideswipe', so she wasn't holding anything against him except the fact that he had 'disappeared' earlier during the fight.

Or maybe...

As a bridge finally connects itself, Rachel wastes no time in making her way across and standing directly in front of her car. She places her hands on her hips and slightly glares. "Alright, Swipey. You've been a great car, but you can lose the cover now." She was trying to sound courageous, and it seemed to work as the car slowly scoots back before erupting into moving pieces. Soon, her own bot guardian was standing before her.

He gazes down with a sheepish grin. "Hope I wasn't that bad at hiding it." He then makes a 'finger gun' and points it at her. "Although those were some slick moves on the road earlier today. I didn't even help that time!" Rachel smiles and walks closer to him. "Well, thank you. And for your other statement, I never even knew until I saw Optimus on the road with the same symbol as the one on your steering wheel."

Said leader of the Autobots was just stepping off the rig as she spoke, and he turns towards them. He never connected the fact she would spot their symbol on his trailer and connect it to her vehicle. A ghost of a smile crosses his face plate. She was very alert after all.

Slowly, all those from the ship make their way to a hangar where a large walkway had been set up to allow face to face communication with the bots. A tall man with short brown hair was standing up there, gazing down at the three humans. His face twists, and he gazes at Optimus. His voice was deep but smooth. "By the looks of things, I'm guessing you had no choice?" Optimus walks right up to the opening where his frame fit perfectly. "Indeed, Major Lennox."

This makes Rachel's head perk up a bit more. She slowly makes her way up the stairs, Sam and Raf in tow. Before she gets to close, Rachel turns towards Optimus, inspecting him again. Sam walks by and takes the offered hand of William Lennox. "Sam." he says with a curt nod. Sam nods back before turning to Optimus. Lennox, however, walks around him and shakes Raf's hand, but when he turns to Rachel, he lets a ghost of a smile dance on his lips.

"Rachel, right?" This snaps her out of her trance as she turns. "O-Oh! Yes, sorry." She offers her hand, and he shakes it. "I must say, you have many of us hear surprised at your abilities." He walks back towards the main platform that sat in front of Optimus' chest. All three young adults follow, Sam unphased by the new arrivals.

Besides her guardian, Sideswipe, and the medic, who she over heard being called Ratchet, a team of three motorcycles had pulled in, women riding on each. Rachel gazes over the rails and smiles at them, but when they don't move, she cocks her head. Suddenly, the women vanish and the bikes transform into three female bots. This made Rachel gasp, earning the attention of the first one, a blue and pink female.

The mech gazes up and waves, giving Rachel a soft smile. Rachel waves back, astonished. There were females?!

Suddenly, Rachel bumps into someone. She hadn't realized she started moving until Raph turns around, a large grin on his face. It seems he was having as much fun as her. Hearing their names, they turn away from Optimus to face Lennox and several large screens. Slowly, Rachel steps forward, recognizing the old cabin. William turns around and gestures to them. "We've been watching you two.... three... for quite some time."

He shows them footage of them entering and leaving the building multiple times, but the group was never seen together until today. However, she notices something and ask William to stop for a moment. "Rewind that last part." It was just about the time Raf's machine went off.

"Play it."

Suddenly, realization dawns on her face. Her car was still outside until the machine went nuts. Her car then sputters to life as the three inside unplug everything. She smirks. She had never heard it leave. However, something sends a chill down her spine. It wasn't when her car leaves on it's own, it's when the cop car pulls up, sits there, but then it quickly turns tail and leaves, minutes before...

"Is that you?" She asks, pointing at a figure similar to William Lennox. The real William, standing next to her smirks. "Epps and I were the ones that searched that place." He turns to her. "How'd you guys hide? Where were you? We searched everywhere before..." Rachel can't help but giggle.

Lennox gazes at her, then a spark of remembrance hit him. Rachel answers. "The rug was rigged to move perfectly into place after we closed the hatch underneath it. You almost caught us until..."

Lennox's smile falters. "We got a call about Decepticon activity." Optimus' voice rings out behind the team, and Rachel turns. "It was a false distress call... luring us away from your position."

Rachel turns back to the screen and barely glimpses a red and blue semi truck disappear down a side road by the house as Lennox and Epps rush out of the building.

Rachel, knowing the next events, Rachel turns back to Optimus. She gazes at him, and he at her. Stepping forward, she leans against the rail. "So... That's why my car, Sideswipe, wasn't there when... Barricade?" The nod from Optimus tells her to continue. "Shows up, however, you guys notice something is wrong and make it back just in time to keep us from getting blown up... again."

Optimus frowns, and his voice falls. "If we had gotten there sooner..." Rachel hushes him, surprising the mech. "If you had gotten there sooner, then we would most likely never have met. You would have scared him off, and we would be sitting in there still tracking you guys.... Well, thinking that we tracked you guys."

The leader of the Autobots smiles. But, before he could speak, Rachel finishes. "Thank you."

This completely catches him off guard. He was used to people yelling at them.

And speaking of the devil....

"Prime! You and your team better have a grand explanation for the crater in the middle of the woods near a busy interstate, and footage of two towering bots duking it out for all the world to see!"

Prime's face slightly scrunches up and Rachel hears William sigh behind him.

"Agent Fowler... A pleasure as always."
