To say Harry is scared shitless would be an understatement.

Anne had called the very next day to let Harry know that they are all coming to New York in a week along with Niall, Liam, Eleanor, Perrie, Luke and Ashton. So he was excited, yes, because he knew everyone is going to be shocked to see Louis, but he was afraid that his parents would try something against him. He don't want to lose Louis again at any cost because it would mean Leilani will have to lose him as well and there's no way that he can see the girl upset.

Now, all those thoughts have invaded Harry's mind as the boy stirs the soup that he's making for everyone. He had called Gemma, Lynn and Lyra at their place so he can tell them the news. He is very nervous about Gemma's reaction as she had tried everything in her power to keep Louis from getting arrested and if her struggle goes to waste because of Harry's stupidity, she might leave him too.

She might have to face the consequences of her own deeds as well, and it would be Harry's fault. It would be his fault if little Leilani is taken away from Louis or Gemma. It would be his fault if Lynn and Lyra lose their friends. It would be his fault if Louis loses the reputation he has build for himself in New York. It would be his fault if Gemma's hardwork of building a business here is left to dust. It would all be his fault, there would be no else to blame but him.

"Hazza?" Gemma's voice pulls him out of his thoughts and he looks up to see Gemma standing right in front of him. She brings her hand up to wipe his cheek and he hadn't even realized that he was crying. "What happened, Haz? Why are you crying?"

That just makes Harry cry even harder and he falls into her arms, sobbing on her shoulder. "Gem, I'm sorry. I-I'm so sor-sorry. I'm so stupid."

Gemma quickly turns the stove off before walking herself and Harry to the living where everyone turns to look at them as soon as Harry's cries are heard. Louis, who had been sitting on the couch, shoots up and engulfs Harry in his arms.

"Hey, hey baby. What happened?" He coos and sits back on the couch, pulling Harry on his lap. Leilani quickly gets beside Louis to face Harry and frowns with a pout while trying to wipe her Papa's tears. Lynn and Lyra stay on the floor, observing the scene without interrupting the little family.

"I- Louis, it's all my fault. I'm kind of ruining everything for you and Gems and Lanny. I'm so sorry. " he cries in Louis' chest.

"Haz, please. You need to calm down so that you can explain what you mean. I don't understand anything. You were fine before you went to make that soup, but then I come in the kitchen to help you, only to find you like this... Please, Baby, just calm down and tell me." Gemma says, calmly as she kneels down in front of Louis and caresses Harry's hair.

"Is it about the news, love?" Louis asks and sighs when the taller boy nods. "Do you want me to tell them?" Harry nods again and Louis kisses he forehead before looking up at gemma.

"Well?" She asks, her face moulded in confusion.

"Yesterday Harry got a call from Anne... They're coming here." Louis says and Gemma gasps, her eyes widening in shock and fear, which makes Harry let out another sob.

"Umm.. " Lyra clears her throat. "If y'all don't mind me asking, who exactly is Anne? And what's so bad about her coming here?" She asks and Gemma looks at her to answer.

"Anne is mine and Harry's mother. She and her husband, Desmond Styles are the top notched lawyers in England. Basically you're not gonna get it unless we tell you everything from the start." She says and Lyra nods, still looking curious so eventually, Gemma tells them everything.

She starts from telling them about Anne and Des and their encounter with Stan Lucas. She tells them how she was pulled into the Tomlinson family and their dirty work at a young age, followed by Louis and his sisters who eventually got comfortable with the lifestyle. Then she tells them about the mission Louis was given by Mark to keep an eye on Harry and grasp all the information about the Styles family, but how Louis ended up falling in love with Harry. She doesn't leave the part where she had snooped into Des and Anne's bedroom and found out about herself being their missing daughter, also about Mark killing Louis' father, which had Harry gasping in realization about that night. Later on Gemma explained about the fire breakout in that warehouse and how she had ran away with Louis before they ended up here, in New York.

The twins and Leilani had kept quite the whole time, listening carefully. Louis and Harry had avoided the details about their parents when they told the little girl about their meeting and falling in love. They just told her "Daddy's father was a bad man and made Daddy look bad to Papa's parents who hate bad people."

"... and if they see Louis and I alive, they might want to arrest us. And if we get arrested now..." She looks at Leilani with sad eyes before looking down at her lap. ".. it'd be bad." She sighs.

"The only person in new York who knows about us and our past is your mom, Jessica." Louis says softly, carding his fingers through Harry's hair.

There is a thick silence in the room, the only audible sounds being their breathings and Harry's frequent hiccups. After a few minutes the most unexpected person speaks up.

"We can say sorry to grandmama and grandpapa for what you did. Then we can tell them the story that aunt Gem told us because it..ex-... plains.. yeah, explains that you both are not bad people, that you were made to do bad things. If grandmama and grandpapa are nice people then they will understand. And then we can say 'please' and tell them to not take you away from me. I will say 'please' too. Nice people listen when you say 'please'." Leilani says with little words, but a firm voice.

Another silence falls in the room before Louis speaks up.

"Well, aren't you growing wise, little lady?" He says to Leilani with a soft smile on his lips and fond in his eyes, making the girl blush at being called 'lady'. "I think she's right... We have to face the truth sometime anyway. We can't keep running forever."

"And you think mom and dad will listen? They are way too dedicated to their jobs, Louis. They won't betray their duty for anyone... not even their own daughter." Gemma says sadly, the tears she had been holding back now welling up in her eyes.
"We can try, Gem. And if it doesn't works then... maybe we deserve to face the consequences of our deeds. You and I both know that at some point, we've willing done the dirty, Andy." He says, his own fears now broke loose. He quickly wipes the tear that escapes his eyes as Harry chokes on another sob.

Gemma shakes her head and abruptly stands up, tears freely flowing down her cheek as she speaks angrily.

"You don't understand, Louis, do you? Yes, we've done the dirty, we deserve to rot in jail and I'm not afraid of that. You know it! You know that the only reason I ran was because you made me do it when I was trying to save you from that hell. But do you realize that it's not just the two of us now? Do you realize that this little soul is going to face the consequences of OUR deeds as well?" She asks pointing at leilani who has the corners of her lips turned downwards. "Does she deserve it, Louis? In the name family, the only people she has left is the both of us. Don't you think she has faced a little too much for her age already? Who is gonna look after her? Tell me, Louis!" She cries, angrily spitting out the words at Louis.

"Harry will. And I'm pretty sure Anne and Des will too, they're already looking after Daisy and Phoebe. They're good people, just doing their job." Louis says slowly, not wanting to scare Leilani, who already had tears in her eyes.

"I know they are good people, alright? But do you think it's fair to Lee? She's a baby, Louis! She don't deserve to lose a parent again, why don't you understand that?!" Gemma yells in frustration and Leilani who had never seen her aunt this way, immediately starts crying at her tone.

Harry sees this, so he beckons the girl closer and when she crawls over to him, he engulfs her into his warm arms, placing comforting kisses on her head.

When Louis stays silent, as if frozen at Gemma's words and no one else utters a single word, Gemma picks up her hand bag from the table and goes to put her shoes on.

Once she's done and ready to leave, she turns back to Louis and speaks. "Do me a favor, Louis, when mom and dad arrive, don't even mention me. Let them think I'm dead. I'm better off without having to see the hurt in their eyes when they prove their daughter to be a criminal in front of the jury." with that she's out of the door, letting it slam shut behind her.

Louis just sits there in silence, looking at the door, hoping gemma would come back and tell him that they're okay, that they're gonna face whatever happens together just like they have been doing since past two years. But it never happens.

He only diverts his eyes when Lynn sighs and it's heard loud and clear in the pin drop silence.

"She's just upset, Bill. She'll come around, she loves you too much to just leave that way. And don't worry about Harry's parents, we'll try our best to make them understand, but if they don't, then we will get you bailed out or something." Lynn says and offers the couple a soft smile which Harry returns.

"Thanks, Lynn. You don't even know how much that means to us." says Harry and looks up at Louis who is still silent, staring at nothing in particular. "Right, Louis?" He asks, but Louis doesn't answer, instead he lightly pushes Harry off of his lap before getting up and leaving the room. After a few seconds they hear the bedroom door slam shut before a loud crash which makes Leilani jump in fear.
