Chapter 4: That Consists of Declarations of War

The same thing simply repeated for the next week and of course, I paid the in for another week, before heading out to Market Chipping. Seems my presence is always wanted nowadays, so the owners always ask me to come by, yet never ask me if I need a job.

"Hey, Lottie!" The lady behind the counter turned toward me with a smile, and waved back before she was mobbed by young men. I laughed as she cried for help while I plucked Lizzie's strings under my arm. Gosh, Lizzie needs a change of guitar strings. Like, badly. "You need help there?" I asked. She nodded, and I pushed the beasties away.

"Thank you so much, Amelia!" She gasped for air as if it were her last.

"Please, simply call me Amy." I simply replied to her thanks. When I looked up at her though, she wasn't looking back at me, she was looking at something behind me.

Please not be Salazar.

Please not be Howl the Heart Stealer.

God, let it not be my Professor. He's worse than the two combined. Her eyes widened, and I felt her take my wrist in her hand and lead/forcefully pull me to the docks where submarines by the bunch with men waving flags from the tops. Was there a war I didn't know about? Um, confused.

"We finally signed a peace treaty with Hollistine, eh?" I heard Lottie sigh with relief. "That's good." She then went on to explain that this country had been in a war with Hollistine for three years, and all because of disagreements considering trade. Yet, at the same time, tensions were growing between Salazar the Wizard that now lived in what people call 'The Waste'.

Interesting neighborhood. Or so I've heard.

So, the person that I've been seeing, that is the Salazar that this country is up against? And he's just been WALKING AROUND THE DANG TOWN LIKE HES GOT THE MOVES LIKE JAGGER?!??? The stress must have been showing on my face, because Lottie grabbed my shoulder and gave it a squeeze.

"Hey," she grabbed my attention, "lets go back to Market Chipping. It's almost noon, and everyone at work decided to give you lunch as a thank you for the music." My stomach growled just as the words left her mouth, and we both laughed. We walked down the street, and I began to think that this place wasn't so bad to begin with.

~

Rain.
Falling by buckets upon two men who stood as rivals. Their posture was as sharp as a steel knife, but no words left their mouth. Where they stood was enough proof that the two had tried to already talk. Trees burning, and the grass nothing but ashes being put out by the rain.
It was a battlefield; yet there were no soldiers. No one could tell that before this was a peaceful forest clearing far away from Amelia Starr.

"I'm telling you, Salazar," the man on the right stood taller, and his patchwork coat soaked all the way through was useless anymore, but he kept it on. "There is nothing left for you to destroy in that town." The man on the left-now recognized as Wizard Salazar-chuckled.

"And what makes you think that you of all people can stop me?~" He gestured outwards with his hands at the destruction before them. "Just because your little 'Girlfriend' is dead does not mean that the game has stopped, and will not continue." He advised coolly.

"Sophie meant more to me than anyone else will ever again!!!" The man on the right snapped quickly, reaching his boiling point. He clutched the fabric of his shirt over his heart, and felt the pang of loss take over.

"Ah, yes, Sophie was her name." Salazar tapped his chin lightly with his index finger and clicked his tongue. "She was too boring for my taste. At least she died being a hero, Howl."

"That doesn't justify why she had to die in the first place!!!" Howl yelled once again, feeling the rain mix with his tears. Salazar frowned at this, and took it upon himself at that moment to open his cane into an umbrella.

"Sorry, not sorry, but I've got a new interesting toy to go see. You're just a broken one, Howl, M'boy." With that, there was the sound of wind, and he was gone from Howl's vision. wiping his face of all tears, he stared up at the pouring grey clouds. Who was his new toy?

"I need to warn this person." He mumbled to himself. "She could be anywhere, and could be anyone. Who are you..?"

~

"IM GONNA POP SOME TAGS! ONLY GOT TWENTY DOLLARS IN MY POCKET!" I laughed. Everyone wanted to hear the real lyrics to the song, and BOY. They had another thing coming.

"What does, 'popping some tags' mean?" One man asked through gulps of fresh air. He was laughing when I started, 'WhutWhut Whut Whut.'

"I don't know; Google it!" I replied, and everyone burst into laughter.

"..What's Google?"

The rest of the evening was spent like this; the men buying me drink after drink- but what they didn't know was that I was buying apple juice, and not alcohol. All five men stumbled out of Market Chipping that night, drunk as hell, while both Lottie and I walked out perfectly sober. PLAN: SUCCESS!

"Do you want to walk home with me?" She asked, and we both started down the same street. I had never noticed her looks until now in the moonlight. Her golden hair bounced rays of moonlight onto her head, while her powdered face almost looked pale. She was taller than me; of course, if you factor in five inch heels as well.

"So," she began, "are you planning on coming back to the shop tomorrow?" I shrugged.

"It's a nice place, but I think I'm going to try a different location tomorrow." I answered slowly. "But I'll be back soon." Her smile lit up like a neon sign, and just as she was about to wave goodbye; turning down another street, a large BOOM! Shook the ground beneath us.

"Holy Light Yagami! What was that?!?" I sounded off as my feet wobbled to gain control. And through the dust; I could see two figures standing tall. Each gave the other a cold stare, and I knew right away which one on the right was.

"Salazar!?" I yelled at him, and he let his frown go; turning it into a smile.

"Hello precious!"

"Hello Fucker!" I waved back with the same enthusiasm. He really gets on my nerves. He frowned, HA! Amelia: 1 Wizard: 0.

"Get out of here!" The other guy yelled to me; and everything caught on fire abound him. I cried and fell back. I then scrambled to where Lottie was hidden, and watched as the two fought.

The blond man took the blind chance to throw a left hook at Salazar, but he hit a giant- something. I think people call it a forcefield; but still. Brick flew as his fist landed on the ground instead. Lottie cried, and I tried to shush her. Peeking back around, I could see Salazar had the other man on the ground! EHAT!?! WHAT??!

He put his foot on the man; his patchwork coat filled with burnt holes. Salazar grinned, and looked down the street. In my direction.
And in that second; his eyes were that of a wolf; that had its prey by the neck and was ready to taste blood. The blond man struggled underneath Salazar's foot; talking. I took the moment to stand up wobbly; gaining speed, I head butted the MOTHER FUDGER!!

Amelia: 2.

He stumbled back; I stepped forward in front of the man. Sure, parents tell you to beware of people you don't know, but it does not count wherever I am right now!

"Stop it!" I yelled. "Both of you assholes!" That got Wizard Salazar's attention, because his eyes widened, and he stopped trying to pick up his cane. He honestly looked like a little kid that found out Santa wasn't real.

"This solves nothing, and you're just hurting yourselves!!" I know enough to preach. My brother and I never got along. Salazar picked up his cane, and walked closer. Um, what do I do? GAH! I took an uncertain step back, and hoped he wouldn't kill me in a painful way.

"My, my, Howl," he purred, and I opened my eyes. Howl was here?!? "What have you dome to my innocent toy?" He reached out and began petting my neck.

#pervert.

Then, a hand came up; slapping the perverted hand away. It was the blond guy! He stood in front of me, and stretched out his hands as I tried to peek out from above his shoulder. How is he so tall? Salazar now had a look that could kill...

..You know, one that could give you a heart attack.

"I won't let you use another human like you have ever again." He breathed heavily. My eyes widened.

This is Howl. The man I met almost two weeks ago.

Shit. Please don't steal my heart.

With that, Salazar faintly smiled and began to skip away; with a weird look to it since, you know, he was a grown man.

"This means war!" Salazar declared. "on you, Howl, dearest Amelia, and this world!" The wind began to pick up, and I clutched onto the patchwork coat to shield myself. When it finally died down, I was left sorta cold, and one less maniac. The man pulled away; shielding his face, and he disappeared as well.

"Amelia! ARE YOU ALRIGHT!?!?" I heard Lottie cry, and felt her hug my waist. But u was trying to look for that dude.

"Um, yeah.." I said absent minded. We both stared at the damage. Almost catastrophic.

"Hey, Amelia," Lottie turned to me, I nodded to say that I was listening.

"Who's Light Yagami?"
