You sigh quietly as you finish your final chore in King Hubert's castle, blinking as two guards approach you. You were only a good, law abiding servant of the castle, why would two guards be approaching you with such serious expressions on their faces?

"The king requests your presence, Y/N," one guard speaks up, the other gently grabbing your arm as if preventing you from running. Not that you were going to run, you nodding quietly as the two guards lead you to the throne room.

Damage from the battle of Prince Phillip fighting the evil fae witch Maleficent was still being repaired and cleaned up, King Hubert talking with his daughter Aurora, Prince Phillip and the queen, Leah.

"Father, we cannot kill him, he is just a child. He has done nothing wrong compared to his mother," Aurora spoke gently, Phillip standing beside her with a hand on his sword with a worried expression on your face.

Hubert nods, about to reply when the guards escorting you step forward, one of them still holding your arm until the king waved them, and the other servants out of the room.

"You must be curious why I asked of you to be here, Y/N... You have been a loyal and obedient servant for many years to this kingdom, even after Maleficent attacked our kingdom," Hubert speaks calmly, making Aurora and Phillip glance to each other confused. Even they didn't know why you were here.

"Well, we found her hideaway and discovered someone of great importance to her. It turns out... Maleficent had a son, a small boy named Cedric. We brought him here, unfortunately had to lock him away to make sure he, along with the people of our kingdom would be safe, and have debated for awhile what to do with him," Hubert continued to explain, Queen Leah looking at her husband before she looked to you and stepped forward.

"We... We wanted to see if you would raise him, perhaps see if he could learn to use his magic for good," the queen spoke softly, making your eyes widen. They wanted you to care for a child fae witch? The son of Maleficent?!
