"Allow me to drop you home?" Taheyung tilted his head, moving closer to her form. Youra blinked before looking around and realising that she would have to get a ride home anyway, so why not seize the opportunity. They were standing on the pavement, right after finishing their schedules. It was more of screenplay meetings than actual shots as the crew was trying to keep it light for a few days, slowly adjusting back to their agendas and waiting for Youra to fit back in.

"Yeah, sure," She nodded, furrowing her brows with a small smile. They were about to walk away until the intoxicating scent of Taehyung's perfume hit her nostrils as she felt the warm feeling of a hug engulf him. Right then a black Mercedes came into her view, stopping diagonally behind Taehyung's back.

Taehyung, was still very much immersed in studying her while the window of the familiar vehicle slid down slowly, revealing the determined eyes that stared her down.

If until then she hadn't felt like she was committing a sin getting closer with Kim Taehyung, she surely did now.

Her big eyes looked back at the doe ones which were now narrowed dangerously, travelling from her form to the back of the man standing next to her. She saw Jungkook exhale, a sneer on his face as he gradually drove away after rolling his eyes which seemed to be the type that would make a chill run down one's spine.

"Youra?" She got out of her daze, looking back at Taehyung and his furrowed brows, who had seemingly been trying to grab her attention for a while. The moment had caught her up in a maze of questions that she hadn't even noticed Taehyung break their hug.

"Yeah? Let's go." She blurted before following the direction in which she'd been looking earlier, only to find the familiar black car disappear out of sight, this time moving speedier than it was before.

His eyes traced her figure as she walked out from the silver-coloured car, towards the main entrance of his house. His head tilted upon catching sight of Taehyung walking right behind her, steps slower than her enthusiastic ones. She turned around when he tapped on her shoulder and probably indulged in what he perceived to be small talk before he pulled Youra into yet another hug.

She hardly patted his shoulder in response but never once could Jungkook notice any hesitation in her movements, making his expression harder than it was. There he was, standing inside the penthouse and boring holes into their bodies while staring down at Youra and Taehyung embrace each other through the huge glass windows.

His stoic expression probably couldn't harden anymore, one would realise. The hands that were placed cooly in his pockets stiffened upon noticing how they still hadn't parted and it had been a second already, and then he forced himself to look away and walk back towards the table in his enormous study.

He exhaled a deep breath when he sat down on his chair, leaning back for support before closing his eyes and shaking his head to get the particular image out of his head. He had to get back to work. Looking over her case was more prominent as their deal. Looking over who she indulged into and with whom she didn't was not a part of the agreement.

But trying to get her out of his head all the time definitely wasn't, either.

She walked into the quiet house, immediately knowing where to go first after recalling Jungkook had called the day off. Why else would he be at the set?

Which just meant he was working in his study.

She grinned happily when she entered the room, her steps quickening to reach the man who was diligently immersed in his work. She frowned a little when he did not look up at her, but took a seat in front of him nevertheless.

"I'm home?" She tilted her head and intentionally stared at him to catch his attention. A dry 'hey' was thrown her way after he lazily looked at her, turning his attention back to the documents in his hand. "Busy day?" She asked while grabbing the small box of biscuits she'd brought along with her.

He barely hummed but she did not think much about it, more interested in opening the lid of the container and pushing it towards Jungkook. She knew he loved these cookies from the bakery she'd just been to, she'd noticed him savour it sneakily several times. The first time was when she'd gone out with him shopping. Did he do anything else besides eating and popping up with several different names? Nah.

Noticing the gesture, Jungkook exhaled softly before asking, "How was yours?" She smiled before shrugging. "I had my first scene shot today. Individual. I realise why I'd chosen this career. It comes so naturally," Her genuine grin faded a little upon receiving a lack of reactions from the other side.

"Mhm. Glad you're working it out." He voiced after a minute or so and she sweetly nodded, watching him scribble something on a piece of paper. "I saw you visit the set. Something important?" She softly asked, just to watch him ignore her question.

"I'm trying to have a conversation here, sir." She had started to lose her patience yet she managed to keep her tone jovial. "Did you find something new about my past?"

Probably try asking your boyfriend. The voice in his mind replied as he aggressively grabbed a biscuit and shoved it into his mouth. "No." He obviously did not evaluate much, making her blink several times before pressing her lips together.

"What's going on, Jungkook?" Her voice came out flat this time, making him briefly look up from his mindless scribbling before going back to it. "Would you please look up and at least spare me a glance?" Her narrowed eyes stared at him for a few more seconds until she gave up.

"Why the hell are you ignoring me like that?" She asked, her tone loud and now echoing in the silent study. "Oh, for God's sake? Are you even listening?" She threw a frustrated hand on the table but he did not even blink, getting on her nerves as the seconds passed.

"Wow. I seriously don't understand you sometimes. I come home after a long day trying to ask you how you feel and this is what I get," She scoffed in a small voice as the sides of her lips curled up. Jungkook finally kept down the pen, leaning back on his chair.

"Why bother?" He intently stared back at her big angry eyes, fuelling the fire. He looked bitter and sounded so too, almost had Youra scowling at his statement. "Don't you have somebody else to ask all these questions to? Don't worry, I don't need your pitiful concern for me just to get me working for you, Miss Song."

And that was it, the last straw before Youra stood up from her seat, watching his eyes never leave hers as she walked out of the place, feeling hurt and more than that, annoyed to no ends.

"I'm taking your car," Youra announced before grabbing the car keys from the stand and hastily walking towards the kitchen.

"Do you even know how to drive?" He commented and she rolled her eyes. "Might as well just go and crash my car or something," He muttered in a pissed tone and he knew she heard him by the way she huffed while leaving the door.

The little argument from a few hours ago had not settled as it evidently revolved in her mind, even after she'd left the house for a while again. Her mind danced over anything and everything that could possibly have caused the lawyer a bitter day but she ended up with nothing in hand. Her curious brain still tingled over the fact that he had decided to come to the set, unannounced, and had left without a word.

Twists and turns took her through the city. Driving was not her hobby, she had known, but her anxious self had at least been relieved for as long as she did. She had not known where she was taking herself, but before could foresee, she stood on the front porch of her own house, nibbling on her lips out of nervousness and waiting for the door to be pulled apart.

The house was still lively, she'd observed. She did not know what she was trying to expect, it was as if she just knew that she had to be here. The entrance reminded her of the very first nightmare she had seen but the feeling of being home overweighed the nasty dream. She rang the doorbell, enthralled to meet anyone behind the door but nervous at the same time. What would she say? Who would she meet? How long had it been again?

"Yes?" She heard a soft, manly voice ask as the door flung open, and there stood her father, looking tired and exhausted, but seemingly still in good shape. He obviously paused in his actions upon seeing her, eyebrows raising while Youra noticed how she had gotten most of her facial features from him. "Youra..." The longing in his voice could not go unnoticed as she intended a step towards him, her heart aching for a touch that felt nothing but safe, his hand reaching up to feel her actuality.

She smiled, eyes shimmering with unnoticed tears, before hugging her father making her feel at home. She could see he was not a hug person, more like she remembered it but his eyes held worry and concern as he parted from her daughter and gave a loving pat on her head. And that was enough of a start for her to know that he was as desperate as her, only he had known what he was desperate for and she, she was still unknown. "Oh, dear girl, you scared me to death," Her father's hoarse voice brought her out of her dilemma and she dabbed away the tears that had surfaced down her cheek.

They exchanged words of contentment, while in the process Youra explained her situation but sadly, she could only give him the half-truth. She felt bad, but she decided it was better this way for him too- otherwise, he'd probably try to dig into things for her and be involved in a mess she had been lost in herself.

Seconds turned into minutes and minutes into hours but the quiet and silent conversation they held didn't seem to reach an end until he voiced out his grief for her mother. The love with which those words left his mouth tranced her and for a moment she felt compelled to tell him about the truth but she held back.

Meeting her father had absolutely unlocked a new dimension of her memories, of her younger self. She could see a little girl holding hands with the same man as she sauntered across a park to her mother, an ice cream held dearly in the little girl's hand as she smiled blissfully with two missing front teeth. Oh, how she wished that she could be the same little girl again, away from any disaster or grievances.

"Your necessities. They gave it to me after investigation." Her father voiced before handing her a cellphone and other things, which included her credit cards and other stuff as well. She gracefully thanked her father once again until she spared a glance to the rest of the house, freezing for a second upon noticing the staircase, a strange feeling creeping up her spine. She shook her head and blinked a few times before informing her father that she would be leaving.

"Take care of yourself, Youra." Her father said in a firm sentence. "With all that's going on, I do not want to lose you at any cost. Please stay with me." He added and even though now she knew he didn't like hugs, she couldn't stop herself from giving him another one.

"Tell me if you and your friend need any help, alright?" The fatherly concern gave it's way more naturally than Youra had thought she would take it. Another rush of guilt washed over her as she nodded, knowing clearly well that she wasn't living with a very close friend of hers to get her mind off of the tragedy.

She sat in the car, a part of her merry while the other melancholic, thinking about how the events had turned out to play in a positive manner. Youra knew she made a good decision to visit home because her father clearly needed it. She felt liberated and also proud of her little achievement. Until she recalled who's car she was sitting in, and who she had to return home to. The situation they have ended in leaving her no choice but to let out a groan of anguish.

Her eyes rolled to the back of her head as she threw her back on the seat, gripping the steering wheel tightly with a scoff. How the hell was she supposed to go back, now?

She further facepalmed upon realising that she had her phone with her and it could help her connect to the car's GPS, as she'd seen Jungkook do. Although not sure enough if she could handle both driving and concentrating on the map at the same time yet, she exhaled loudly and pushed the clutch.

"Oh, Fuck!" She screamed upon hearing the loud sound of her, no, Jungkook's car, bumping into another, that too on an almost null traffic road. Youra could definitely cry at that moment. A string of curses left her mouth when she got off the car and ran towards the one she had bumped into to apologise to the driver.

The dent was visible to naked eyes, and fortunately, the blessing was to be bestowed only on her vehicle and not on the stranger's. She saw a man walk towards her and kneel down next to her, inspecting the dent. Youra mumbled a small apology and added a few words of the same to support her cause right before he shook his head and smiled a little.

"It's fine. Your car got a big blow though," He worriedly voiced and she clicked her tongue before murmuring quietly, "Wish it were mine."

"Oh," He whispered and she chuckled, standing up. "Anyway, sorry for that. I'm not too good at driving I guess," She laughed a little and he chuckled along.

"No problem. I just returned to Korea a while ago myself, and they drive the other way in that country. I'm having troubles adjusting back too." He generously smiled and she nodded but her face turned a little pale when she remembered she had not covered her identity.

"Oh, I really need to go and return the car to...uh, the... owner, yeah, I'll see you around I guess," She grinned while rushing back towards the car until the man nodded.

"Thanks for helping me out," She gestured towards the dent that he'd flattened out a little and he gave a huge smile.

"No problem, ma'am... uhh?" He flashed a grin, staring at her.

She looked around, glad to feel the absence of any other soul and whisper yelled to him, "Youra".

"Jung Hoseok. It was nice meeting you."

"The pleasure is mine, Hoseok." She smiled, giving him a nod before ushering inside the car. The said chivalrous man had waited for her and decided to wave at her with a smile as bright as a single ray of sunshine on a stormy day and for a moment Youra had been lured by the hope it radiated, forgetting about the aloof scenario she had recently made herself a part of.
