seventeen

Song Youra, aged 25, was seen with a man on the streets of Seoul on a sunny Saturday morning. The actress who had mysteriously disappeared a few weeks ago is finally back into action, as reported by the producers of the upcoming film, with her rumoured boyfriend, Kim Taehyung. Kim, aged 29, has starred opposite Song in the last hit movie she had. After a few months of the movie coming out, the two actors also publicised their relationship, confirming that Taehyung had not only stolen the hearts of his numerous fans but also of the new actress. They have been known for taking breaks in the middle of their relationship, but seemed immensely indulged, incredibly in love and happy with each other. That, until last Saturday, when our reporters spotted Youra casually strolling around with another man whose social reference is not fully known yet. They appeared to be leaving the place in a car together, the source said.

What possibly will be the reaction of Song Youra's label to this controversy?

An exasperated grunt left her mouth when she closed the newspapers Jungkook had passed to her after noticing them sprawled on her couch, the headlines on the entertainment page undoubtedly concentrated on her name. Reading the article that had been overlooked by her amidst her heavy agenda, Youra had finally understood where Jungkook's premature concern was coming from.

"We need to leave, Miss Song. You cannot shoot right now. We might have a problem bigger than this at hand." Yoongi softly uttered after watching both Youra and Jungkook aimlessly staring at the ground, lost in their thoughts for quite a while.

"Yes, just give me a few minutes," She sighed before rubbing her eyes with her palms, standing up and quickly leaving to inform the set.

"You good there?" Yoongi's fist slightly bumped on Jungkook's shoulder before he nodded.

The three of them settled inside Yoongi's car, the sound of seatbelts shuffling heard in the unsettling silence that occupied the small space. Youra comfortably took the backseat, pupils quivering while she couldn't focus on anything in particular as the vehicle moved.

"We... never really met properly, Miss Song," The deep voice gave her a chill before she blinked rapidly, looking at the driver's side profile from behind. "I'm Min Yoongi, if this man has never had the decency to mention. An officer by profession, and I'm helping Jungkook with your case if you're curious." He smiled a little and she immediately gave him a warm smile.

"Of course you are. I'm so sorry for not greeting you earlier. I was a little caught up... and you can just call me Youra." She nodded, a pleasant tone in her voice. "To be honest, you've been mentioned quite a few times before. I just never had the time to meet you," She added and Yoongi smiled back.

"More than being a cop, I've been a very old friend of this guy right here," At that comment by the older man, Jungkook's eyes swiftly rolled towards him, waiting for what he was going to say next. "Truth be told, I've known him long enough to have made several unpleasant yet enjoyable memories with him." He happily mumbled, beaming as he steered the wheel.

"That sounds great, I didn't know Mr. Jeon could make such great friends," Youra let out a little quickly and then realised what she'd said when Jungkook turned his head to deliver a glare her way. She nonchalantly looked away, acting as if she had been too immersed in sighting the surrounding buildings.

"Ouch," Yoongi laughed out, sparing a glance at the younger man. "She's good" He winked and Jungkook's scowl stayed intact. "He's great at making friends though. One time he got drunk and hugged a random guy at the bar. That ended up with him turning all marshmallows for Jungkook. It took a pretty long while to get rid of him once Kook realised the situation though-"

"I suggest we stop there? That's enough introduction for a day, don't you think hyung?" Jungkook mumbled, ears turning red and eyes big.

"What? Come on, we're trying to shift the tense atmosphere and whose story better than the bar-guy?" Yoongi frowned with a smirk that Youra couldn't see before he spoke louder. "He was gay,"

"Interesting," Youra tried her best to stifle her laughter and Jungkook clicked his tongue, rolling his eyes. "You seem to go a long way back, Yoongi. I wonder how good you are at cooperating," She spoke through a breaking giggle.

"Guys I'm literally right here!" The lawyer scoffed, throwing his hands up in frustration glancing back and forth at his brother and his acquaintance.

"You're living together though. How's that like? Does he still walk around in his torn shorts with holes-"

"Hyung, shut up! You really don't have to do this!" Jungkook exclaimed, jumping a little in his seat ready to close the blonde's mouth at any cost.

"Okay, fine, geez" Yoongi mumbled as the younger glared at the back seat with a red face, catching Youra looking at him with an expression of adoration and amusement. He grimaced at Yoongi once more, his face clearly screaming 'I'm in my late twenties, you don't have to embarrass me in front of women now'.

Though the lawyer felt strangely and wrongly exposed, at the cost of nothing really, Youra couldn't help but live the delightful moment, becoming a part of the small happy bubble, putting aside the annoyance of having to face her company with certain useless questions.

"It's great. I never imagined myself to be in a better place than I am in ever since I came to the penthouse after being in the state you first saw me in, Mr. Min." She hesitated a little in choosing her words, a genuine smile embracing her features. "I'm very grateful I have people like you helping me out, really, and it would be a lie if I don't give the credit to the lawyer I found, or rather the person who found me, for that."

The glass of hard liquor landed harshly on the slab of the bar, a wandering hand going up to ruffle black locks that were now messed up. He shut his eyes close, gulping before breathing out and turning towards the other male.

"I can't let this happen. Everything that's going on is... not okay." Taehyung shook his head, eyes droopy and a visible emotion of vexation on his face. "Who the fuck does that man think he is, barging into her life like this and doing whatever the hell he wants?" He frowned and the other smiled, shaking his head at his best friend.

"It was you who openly offered her a new start, hm? Then why are you complaining about it now?" The man replied and Taehyung shuffled in his seat. "That's because I always knew she'd come back to me. I'm the best for her."

"So why are you scared of this new guy?" This time the other furrowed his brows at the actor, making Taehyung flatten his lips.

"There's no way in hell that I'm scared of him. He's a no one, Jimin." Taehyung revolted as Jimin smirked, leaning his head to rest it on his fist.

"He doesn't seem like a no one," Jimin pushed the magazine towards Taehyung, the one with its header reserved for Song Youra, the lost star's new controversy like many others. "And if he is a no one, why are you so insecure?" He raised a brow, the slight lift of the corners of his lips still there.

"I'm not insecure, Jimin! I- stop doing that," Taehyung glared at him while he watched the man dressed in blue chuckle, throwing his head back. He turned towards Taehyung, the earring dangling from his ear sparkling just like his crooked teeth as he nudged him.

He hardly looked affected by the amount of alcohol they'd had, his charm ostensibly not ready to fade anytime soon. He was having the time of his life hearing his best friend whine about a woman he loved, though. Taehyung sighed, looking towards the bartender and gesturing him to place another drink.

"What do you think Youra feels about this, hm?" Jimin wondered aloud, receiving a bit of silence from the distressed male.

"Honestly, that's exactly the part I'm unsure of." He slurred. "Youra seems... distracted. Unsure about things. Gets easily carried away by thoughts and looks like a deer caught in headlights all the time ever since... it's just like she's different."

"She's definitely not cold or stony with me, but not even near so committed that I know she'll come back to me for sure. Maybe I'm just overthinking right now, but I have no idea who that guy is to her." Taehyung bitterly voiced and Jimin raised his eyebrows.

"You told me she said he's family?" He asked and Taehyung rolled his eyes. "No way in hell I am believing that part. I'm not that stupid." He spat.

"And what exactly are you gonna do about him?" The older played with the glass in his hand and Taehyung blew a raspberry, lazily burying his head in his arms on the table.

"I don't know what I'm gonna do about this Jeon Jungkook guy," The words left Taehyung's mouth sourly in a grumble, but Jimin's head snapped towards him instantly after hearing him. "But I'm not going to let Youra get convinced by him left and right," His expression hardened, fingers playing with the rings on his hand. Jimin gave a half-hearted smile to the actor, a doubtful look on his face.

"Do you love her, Tae?" Jimin tilted his head, eyes narrowing a little.

"Song Youra is mine." The taller stated instead, straightening his posture before tilting his head as well to match the other's line of sight.

"And no matter what happens... I'm not going to lose her so easily."
