Her threat worked, the Avengers didn't attack. And a week later the Blizzard's affects were done. The base was able to be moved, the one warehouse once again abandoned. Ivy herself wasn't well after everything went down, she kept the group in the shadows again, running herself into the ground with work and training.
The entire pack was worried but she ignored it, getting to the point where she locked herself in her office.
Everyone was worried.
And Onyx was no exception.
Onyx POV (surpriiiise~)
Ivy.... She needs help. Everyone in the pack has a mate, she is no exception. Now the thing about mates, they aren't what you think.
See humans have soulmates, whether platonic or romantic or otherwise. They just... Aren't obvious. Small signs and signals in the brain trigger the connection of a soulmate. For us, that is enhanced. We can physically tell what type and who our soulmate is based on scent or sight alone depending on our animal. Most of us have our soulmates in the packs as we were made within a lab, but Ivy. Ivy was originally human, Natasha was her soulmate BEFORE she was a shifter.
So she's the only one who's mate doesn't understand what it means to be a mate nor the effects. And the entire pack is getting a first hand look, mates that are rejected or ignored.... They self destruct. And quickly. It's terrifying.
And how do I know all this? Well I'm the oldest living pack member, I watched the same thing happen to our old alpha who ended up going insane and Hydra got rid of him cause nothing worked to control him.
And I'm not letting that happen to Ivy, she's like a sister to me.
"Jamie." I yelled, my son running over.
"Yes papa?" He chirped, a smile resting on my face.
"Dad's going out for a while, take care of your mom for me alrighty?"
Jamie puffed out his cheeks and nodded, smiling as his wings fluffed out. I rubbed his hair and sent him off. I don't know if I'll make it back... I can only hope. I pulled on a jacket, slinging a bag over my shoulder.
I ran my fingers over the bandage under my eye and sighed, I'm lucky they missed my eyes. Shaking my head I walked out of my room, avoiding the crowd as I left.
No weapons, just things for survival. Things go south... I'm dead.

Avoiding detection was a pain in the ass but I managed, even with my chest still injured. I curled my wings in as I landed, spotting a familiar face. I held up my hands and sat on my knees as a group of men aimed weapons at me.
"State your business." A blond one growled.
"I'm Onyx, a member of the group Cerberus. I'm here to talk with a red headed women. Please? We need her." I stated, keeping my eyes down. Hopefully they didn't notice how shaky I was, these are humans. None of us have good relationships with humans, at least other then the pack humans.
"Steve. He's injured, and FRIDAY doesn't see any weapons on him. Either we capture him, shoot him, send him back, or let him talk to Nat." A man stated, Tony Stark. Odd, he doesn't seem the kind type.
"That isn't your choice to make. I'm talking to him, you guys head inside." A red head woman snarled, I will assume that's Nat? Definitely Ivy's mate. The males left and I slowly stood up, cautious in case she lashed out.
"What do you want? I thought your little alpha didn't want me to be in connection with you all anymore." Nat hissed, releasing a sigh I lifted my head and looked in her eyes.
"Ivy is running herself raggid, we need you. You won't understand this, but you're Ivy's-"
"Mate?"
"Wha- how did you?"
"I'm a spy."
"O-oh... Well yes, you're her mate. I'll assume you know what happens to a shifter without their mate. Please, we can't loose her, without her we're defenseless." I begged, ignoring the man storming over. That was until his hand was around the throat.
"BULLSHIT! YOU GUYS SLAUGHTER HUNDREDS DAILY!"
"NO! You don't understand please let me explain! Please!" He snarled but dropped me. I rubbed my neck and stood back up. I set my bag on the side and rolled up my sleeves. The barcode and scars caught their attention that was for sure.
"We weren't born. We were made, all of us but Ivy. We were made and grew up in Hydra, they were making us into soldiers. Similar to your friend Bucky, he was there fighting when Ivy was brought. She was a child. So was I. We lost our first alpha a few days earlier. We all watched her be tortured. It was all we knew, pain, darkness, cold, hatred. We didn't have anyone. We didn't have a light. When Ivy was thrown in with us she quickly became a favorite.
She was the strongest of us, and the sweetest. She took the beatings, she took the torture. She took whatever she could to ease the pain of our founding members, and she gave what she could. We became a family. Cerberus wasn't an organization at first. It was a family name. Cerberus, the three headed hell hound and protector of the underworld. We protected each other.
We would've been soldiers if Ivy hadn't helped us escape. When she was taken by shield while you were still under the ice, we mostly disbanded. She returned 8 years ago and she's been working us back into a family. We became the organization you know of when Hydra and shield started hunting us! We never wanted to harm anyone, we wanted a life outside of the sewers. We've always lived in the shadows and in hiding. Without Ivy we'll be hunted and slaughtered like animals."
It was silent, they're eyes were wide. My wings drooped, we're alone with this. Ivy, my wife, Hue, my son.... Everyone.... We'll all die. And I couldn't do anything. I shakily grabbed my bag, turning back to them I bowed.
"Sorry for taking your time." I smiled, tears brimming my eyes as I turned to leave. But a hand wrapped around my wrist and stopped me.
"Wait!"
