I was clean the attic looking for anything to give to the annual goodwill drive. I notice a wooden chest in the corner. I could feel a presence coming from it.

I looked away continue to clean and hears the chest open by itself. I walked over to it and looked inside finding a diary dating has from what it looked like the 1600s. My curiosity got the better of me and I started to read the cover the Sara was stick on it.

When I was about to open the book and sense the same presence behind me but when I turned around and saw nothing. I opened the book and noticed the pages were Golden thread.

" Ruby, are you here I heard the eddy voice of my grandmother's old friend Zeck. " I will be down in a minute" I called putting the book.back were I found it.

I walked into the kitchen where grandmother was making a pot of tea. " there's my busy little bee" she says purring into my cup. " your a good kid liking after your grandmother. You must be 17 by now." He says.

" Grandma, did anyone live here in the 1600s?" I asked making her stop what she was doing.

Grandmother responded "oh Ruby I told you about the house being old so many people owned this house... I believe our family later owned it. around the 1700s and since then it's been passed down through generations.

"I bid you good day ladies I must get going" an old friend of my grandmother said says hugging my grandmother and patting me on the back. I did know why but I felt the same presence but push me he thought aside.

I looked at the time and realize I was late my college class and kiss my grandmother goodbye running out the door. An hour later I came home and saw the door was blown off it hinges "grandma" I call and no reply. I walked through the house noticing the house was ransacked.

" what happened here I" said to my self as I walked into my grandmother room. I saw her laying on the bed but some didn't feel right. " grandma" I say walking closer finding a knife her heart.

I screamed ns ran to the phone calling 911 and say I need the police. A short time later a police car pulled up and I told them what I saw.
