Himawari's pov.

Recap:
"It's not possible, but I wish I could have gone where you are."

"His spirit is as pure as fresh snow. You never know Zabuza, maybe you will join him there."

Himawari's pov.

Suddenly I fall backward. Landing on my back caused the kunai to go deeper.

"Aaah."I yelped in pain.

"Hima-chan! Kakashi-sensei you have to help her!" Sakura exclaims helping me up.

"No... I can stand on my o-" I start, but I end up falling.

"Oh yeah who are you!? Naruto yells pointing his finger at me. I can sense Sasuke was curious as well.

"Himawari Hyuuga. I used to be in your class. I'm Hinata's twin." I raps coughing up blood.

Naruto get ready to say something else, but Kakashi stops him. "Naruto she needs rest and medical attention, so give it a rest. I'm going to have to take the kunai out, so hold her steady."

The take off my katana, scarf and my top. Luckily I was wearing a training bra, but that didn't stop Naruto and Sasuke from turning away blushing. They lay me down back up to take it out.

"This is going to hurt." He informs me like I don't know.

Kakashi grabs it by the hilt, and swiftly takes it out.

"Aaaaah!" I scream in agony.

He just as fast leans me up, and wraps lot of bandages around me. My vision goes a little hazy, but I force myself to stay awake. I won't miss my comrades burial. They help me put my shirt back on. Sakura holds my Katana, scarf and the ice needles that held up my hair.

"So is that really it, Kakashi sensei? Is it really the Shinobi way to use and to be used?" Sakura asks him with a dull tone.

"All Shinobi are tools in the hands of destiny. There no point in trying to figure out if it's right or wrong. It just is." Kakashi explains.

"Well if that's what being a ninja is all about then something must be out of whack. Is that why we do all this training to end up like them?" Naruto questions.

"What's the reason for that?" Sasuke asks.

"Well that's really a question without an answer. And we as ninja have to deal with it everyday of our lives." Kakashi explains.

"Okay!" Naruto bursts out. "I've decided on something. I'm finding my own ninja way from now on. A way that's straight and true that has no regrets. From now on I follow the way of Naruto!"

His own way, huh? I don't think I could ever be like him. He is confident that he right, that's for sure. How would things have been different if I hadn't met Zabuza and Haku.

Flashback start

I kept running through the forest. I think I reached past The land of Fire's border. It was kind of easy to evade people because I had the Byakugan. I have been alone for a while since the incident.

I'm 10 now. I hadn't celebrated my birthday this year. 'I wonder if Hinata is okay' I think grasping my locket.

Wandering in the forest has made me sort of based in my animal instincts. I can see around me, so I can easily hunt. I had to learn to do that fast and cook it, though I had help learning.

"Snap!" Sounded the twig breaking.

I swirled around activating my Byakugan. Looking around quickly I see two people. One with a giant sword and cow things. The other pale girlish looking boy.

"Ha! Those villagers scared of this forest because of a little girl they call the forest spirit. Not just any girl a girl with the Hyuuga eyes, and she doesn't have the curse mark." The older one laughed.

I wanted to run, but I could sense that I was out classed, by far. The boy came up to me. 'Wait scared of me.'

"Hello, my name is Haku." He introduced. "And this Zabuza."

"Uhh... I'm Himawari..." I say warily.

"What are you doing out here by yourself?" Haku asks me.

"W-why should I tell you?" I demand to know. "And what do you mean by scared?"

Haku laughs a little while Zabuza looks at me with a look I can't quite place.

"Your alone aren't you?" Haku questions.

"Yeah, so! Answer my question what do you mean by scared!" I yell getting infuriated.

"Would you like to come with us?" Haku smiles.

"W-with you? Why? Stop avoiding the Question!" I start interrogating.

"We mean that your presence in this forest has caused some of the villagers to fear you. As they only see glimpses of you because you always know where to go with your Byakugan." Zabuza explains.

Would they really fear me just because I live here? That obviously means I have been here too long. Wait! If they got on my trail that could mean the Leaf nin could have heard about me. What Haku asked me... To join them...

"Would you like to join us?" Haku repeats.

"Sure, it's not like I'm particularly doing anything of great importance right now." I respond smiling. This might be fun, and I won't be alone...

Flashback end

That's how I met them. Zabuza, Haku-nii. I don't think I could live without the memories of them. I'm glad a met them if I hadn't I'm sure I would still be living in the forest. Haku-nii... I will miss him dearly.

"We could never have finished the bridge without you. Can't tell you how much we are going to miss you." Tazuna says as we start leaving.

"Yeah you guys be careful." Tsunami says smiling.

"Thank you very much." Kakashi replies waving.

"Now, now. Don't get choked up. We will come visit you real soon." Naruto promises Inari.

We start walking to the Leaf village. Well I am walking because I refused to let Kakashi carry me. I wouldn't degrade myself by being carried no matter how much my back hurt.

"Hey Sasuke? When we get back to the village do you want to do something together?" Sakura asks with a small blush upon her face.

"No thanks." Sasuk replies making Sakura depressed. Sasuke seems rude nowadays.

"Hey Sakura, I'll do something with you if you like." Naruto says hopeful

"No way, that was a private conversation anyway, Now get lost." Sakura yells throwing him over the bridge.

"So Hima-chan when we get back what are you planning on doing?" Sakura asks me the curiosity evident on all of their faces.

What am I planning? I'm probably going to see the Hokage. Well I'm. Pretty sure I'm going to have to. Then I'm going to see my family. Neji and Hinata.

"I'm probably going to see my family. I mean my Sensei is dead, so what would I do here?" I explain

"Why did you leave anyway?" Naruto questions with a face like (￣ー￣). The others looked a little surprised that Naruto would ask a smart question.

"Uhh... I'd prefer not... Well you see...." I start saying trying to think of how to put it. "I was afraid."

This confuses Naruto, Sakura, and Sasuke. Well Sasuke's face didn't show it so much, but I could tell he was a little confused. Kakashi looked like he understood. He is a Jonin with more knowledge than them.

"A-afraid? Of what?" Sakura questions.

"I'd prefer not to get into that right now." I respond.

After a while I see the gates of Konohagakure. This is going to be such a pain, but I'm excited to see Hinata and Neji...
